BNHA: Spiritual Aura-Chapter 294: A much deeper reason.
--Friday, July 17, 2172
“Finally, it's over!”
Leaving the auditorium at UA where the closing ceremony had taken place, Mina threw her arms up in the air while exclaiming with excitement. Momo, who was holding onto Kai’s arm, smiled somewhat amused and replied in a calm voice.
“We still have to come to the summer camp in 15 days, fufu.”
“Summer camp! I want a test of courage!!”
Mina got even more excited and responded with shining eyes, which made Momo laugh even harder. Jiro, visibly relieved that Momo and Mina’s relationship seemed as close as ever, commented with a smile while looking at the beautiful black-haired girl.
“Speaking of that, I need to buy a bunch of stuff for the camp and the trip to I-Island. Why don’t we all go shopping together?”
“That sounds interesting. I need to buy a few things too.” Tsuyu, the frog-like girl, replied with a small smile. At that moment, Kaminari, who was nearby, commented in a thoughtful tone.
“It’s true, I need to buy a swimsuit.”
“I need to get some stuff too.” Kirishima nodded and said while rubbing his chin. Toru, the invisible girl, spoke up in a cheerful voice.
“Since we have tomorrow off, why don’t we all go shopping together?”
“Oh! That’s a great idea! Let’s take the chance to go out together for the first time!!” Mina quickly chimed in happily, giving Toru a thumbs-up. Midoriya turned to look at Uraraka and Iida beside him and asked calmly.
“Sounds like a good plan. How about we go?”
“S-sounds good, let’s do it.”
Uraraka replied a bit nervously, which quickly made Midoriya feel the same, turning his head away with a slight blush. Iida adjusted his glasses and stared at Kai, who was checking his phone with a disinterested expression. After a few seconds, Iida nodded and commented in a stiff voice.
“Yeah, let’s go. I need to buy a few things too.”
“Then it’s settled! We’ll follow your lead.” Mina announced enthusiastically while looking at Momo, who, seeing all her classmates looking at her as a leader, smiled brightly and said.
“Then let’s meet tomorrow at Kiyashi Shopping Mall. I’m sure we’ll find everything we need there.”
“Genius!! See you tomorrow!!!”
…
After cheerful goodbyes, Kai and Momo took a car home alone since Nemuri was busy wrapping things up at UA and Nejire was at her internship. In the backseat of the car, Momo guided Kai’s head to her lap and commented with a small smile while tenderly stroking his hair.
“You haven’t bought a swimsuit either, Kai. Tomorrow, I’ll get you some nice ones for camp and our vacation.”
“You guys bought a ton of swim trunks for me not long ago. I’ll just use one of those.” Kai said casually while scrolling through his phone. Momo laughed amusedly and, brushing the hair from Kai’s forehead, replied.
“That was months ago, and those were just trunks, not swimsuits. They’re different.”
“They’re the same…” Kai rolled his eyes and responded casually, which made Momo laugh between helplessness and amusement.
“They’re not, and tomorrow we’re shopping, end of discussion.”
“…” Kai fell silent and let out a small sigh, at which point Momo couldn’t help but ask while tilting her head slightly to look at Kai’s phone.
“What are you doing so much? You’ve been glued to your phone all day.”
“I’m reviewing some experimental data on the genetic code I managed to recover from the spiders and a few other things. I want to create a skill to enhance your quirks, but it’s still in the exploratory phase.”
Kai replied in a calm and focused tone, causing Momo to look at him with a complex expression—a mix of love, concern, and surprise. Pushing Kai’s phone away with one hand, Momo looked into his eyes and spoke in a soft, affectionate voice.
“I know you’re doing this for us… But rest a little. I don’t want to see you working so hard all the time… I want you to enjoy life sometimes…”
“This isn’t just work. I enjoy doing this kind of stuff. Building all sorts of things has always been my passion, and you know that. It’s not hard at all.”
Kai replied calmly while looking at Momo, who thought for a few seconds. But curiously, Momo’s face soon flushed, and while checking that all the windows and the connection to the driver were securely closed, she whispered shyly.
“All excesses are bad. You’d better enjoy another ‘passion’…”
A bit surprised by Momo’s sudden behavior, Kai couldn’t help but raise an eyebrow and look at her with curiosity. Momo, visibly shy, unbuttoned her uniform and soon lowered her white bra to expose one of her large breasts, big enough to cover Kai’s face, and brought it to his lips while commenting in a soft, timid voice.
“For my baby Kai…”
Kai couldn’t help but laugh amusedly, but Momo took the chance and slipped her nipple into Kai’s mouth, who, after a moment, began to suck on it gently. Amidst suppressed moans, the car kept moving until it finally stopped, at which point Momo hurriedly adjusted her clothes.
“Thanks, Momo… That was amazing…”
As he sat back in his seat, Kai commented in a soft and slightly aroused voice. This put a huge smile on Momo’s face, who quickly clung to Kai’s arm with red cheeks and said in a voice heavy with lust.
“Kai… I want to have my first time…”
“Your wish is my command. I’ll prepare something very romantic.” Kai whispered softly, causing Momo to hug him even tighter. Soon, the door opened, revealing Keiko on the other side, who commented with a warm smile.
“Welcome back.”
““We’re home.””
Kai and Momo replied in unison with subtle smiles, at which point Momo stood to get out. But as she exited the car, Momo couldn’t help but notice her mother looking at her with a mischievous smile before glancing inside the car. Following her mother’s gaze, Momo saw a wet spot on the seat, which made her run off with her face completely red.
“Take the car to be cleaned.”
Keiko laughed amusedly and quickly ordered the driver, who nodded seriously. Once the car was gone, Keiko hugged Kai’s arm and started walking with him toward the mansion while asking in a more serious voice.
“Did anything happen on the way? Anyone following you?”
“No, nothing, but it’s better to keep a low profile and avoid using Accompany. Let them waste time figuring out how they lost their people on the cruise.” Kai commented in a calm voice, to which Keiko nodded before replying with a smile.
“Yeah, the less they know, the better. But leaving that aside, I got some results today. Through simulations, I managed to identify a parallelism between the quirk thief, the monstrous woman, and the spider mother. I think I’ve pinpointed a critical part of quirk creation in others.”
“Really?!” Kai asked with shining eyes, to which Keiko nodded with a joyful and proud smile.
“Very much so.”
But Keiko’s smile soon turned playful, and as she tugged at the neckline of her dress so Kai could see her slightly hardened nipples, she commented in a mischievous voice.
“But I worked so hard to get those results… How is my Kai going to reward me for all my efforts?”
“I’ve got an idea or two.”
Kai said and quickly scooped Keiko up princess-style, then moved at a terrifying speed toward the workshop. Clinging tightly to Kai’s neck, Keiko couldn’t help but let out an enchanted giggle. She truly didn’t regret a single moment of tempting her Kai that day; it was definitely the best decision she’d ever made in her life. She had never felt so happy and fulfilled in all her years.
…
…
…
“Is it really necessary to have something so dangerous here?”
At the Pussycats’ base, in the middle of the night, Chatora couldn’t help but comment in a somewhat helpless voice while looking at Kai. Kai was welding the last plate onto what looked like a massive, terrifying turret with electricity emanating from his fingers. Kai nodded and, as he moved to the turret’s manual control panel, spoke in a calm tone.
“Very necessary. There are dangerous people after me, and since you want to live here on your own, we need to take precautions. While physical and energy shields are good, you never know what might happen, so a proper anti-air defense is needed.
“Besides, look at the bright side: in case of an emergency, the agency will function as a fortress to shelter civilians. During villain attacks or natural disasters, the defense systems and the underground bunker I plan to expand and reinforce will keep a good number of people safe.”
“Seeing it that way, it’s not so bad…” Chatora whispered thoughtfully but quickly refocused and asked in a cautious voice.
“Kai… Is all of this legal?”
Kai turned to look at Chatora with a huge smile and then commented in the most natural voice in the world while patting the newly configured turret with one hand.
“Of course not. Just this baby alone means at least 15 years in prison, life if things get complicated, so don’t use it lightly.”
“…Let’s take it down.” Chatora nearly fell over upon hearing the response and quickly replied in a serious tone. Kai burst into laughter and soon responded while walking toward the house.
“Hahaha, don’t worry. Even if it’s discovered or you’re forced to use it, you’re a recognized pro hero, and I have good contacts, including Principal Nezu. That mouse has a terrifying arsenal at UA, and it’s all legal. With the right price, Nezu can help me avoid trouble over this.”
“Chatora, Kai! Come on!”
At that moment, Tomoko stepped out of the agency and announced with a huge smile, so Chatora followed Kai with a defeated smile as the turret rotated to hide underground, just like all the others Kai had installed.
Upon entering the agency, Chatora found Shino, Ryuko, and Tomoko dressed in casual clothes with bandanas on their heads, holding various cleaning tools. They had been helping him organize the whole house while Kai was busy breaking things everywhere to improve the security systems.
“The command center is fully operational now.”
At that moment, Keiko came out of one of the rooms and commented with a smile. Soon after, Yumiko and Nemuri emerged from the kitchen with tea, lemonade, and other drinks for everyone, while Nejire and Momo came downstairs from the second floor with paint on their noses.
“The paint is dry now.” Momo commented with a smile, at which point Nejire raised her hands and said cheerfully.
“And we left a nice mural so you won’t forget us!”
“Thanks, everyone.” Chatora said in a warm voice, to which everyone responded with cheerful smiles as Yumiko and Nemuri handed out the drinks. Kai took the lemonade Nemuri offered him and commented casually.
“No need to thank us. If you ever want to come back home, you know the doors are always open.”
“Thanks.” Chatora thanked again with a smile, at which point Nejire commented in a cheerful voice.
“Alright, let’s take the chance to watch the last episode of the series!”
“I’ll get the projector.” Shino nodded and quickly got up, at which point Nemuri and Momo exchanged a look and nodded to each other. Then, Nemuri said happily.
“Then let’s make popcorn and stuff.”
“Then let’s set up the living room.” Yumiko added while walking toward the couches, at which point Nejire, Ryuko, and Tomoko followed to help her. Kai quickly gulped down his lemonade and commented as he walked off.
“Then I’ll run a couple of tests on the defense system while you get everything ready.”
As everyone busied themselves, Chatora couldn’t help but look on with a warm smile, feeling genuinely fortunate and a bit regretful, but he quickly shook his head, reaffirming his decision. After all, while his idea of living on his own was indeed to give everyone more privacy, the truth was there was a much deeper reason beyond just Keiko and Yumiko’s discomfort.
For some time, Chatora had noticed that Shino, Ryuko, Nemuri, and Tomoko had grown very close. While they didn’t exclude him in any way, he could see that the bond they shared was deeper than what they shared with the others. This inevitably created a slight gap that was slowly starting to widen.
Just by watching them interact, Chatora could see firsthand how bedroom intimacy brought people closer on a spiritual level. Many secrets that would be hard to share with others, Nemuri, Shino, Ryuko, and Tomoko shared among themselves without issue, being completely open with each other.
Because of this, awkward moments started to arise where his teammates would go quiet when he arrived or things like that. To prevent this gap from widening further, he decided to step aside and give them privacy.
In a newly started relationship, intimacy and constant discovery completely occupied people’s minds. But with him constantly around, the others couldn’t fully experience it, which in the long run would inevitably lead to frustrations and even resentment—something that could easily break relationships.
But for that very reason, the solution was simple: step aside, wait for the novelty to wear off, and let everyone get used to it. At that point, once everyone had fully enjoyed the relationship, the awkwardness would naturally resolve, and everything would go back to how it was before.
…
“Chatora? What are you thinking about so much? The episode’s about to start!” Suddenly, Chatora was pulled from his thoughts by Tomoko’s voice, so he quickly approached with a smile and said cheerfully.
“Let’s go! I’ve been waiting a long time to see the finale!”
