"Young master. A letter has arrived from the clan." Xiulan announced.

"It’s time." Li Qiye replied without even bothering to read the letter offered unto him. He stood up and began dressing into the more formal garb of a true young master.

Xiulan helped him and her face was red from the ordeal. It was obvious that his maidservant was far from immune of his natural charms.

A month later, an impressive team arrived in a vast busy city. The surrounding defensive formation here was palpable even in the distance which signified the prosperous atmosphere and community inside the domain.

"We’re here, young master." The weak voice of an old man touched the ears of our mc.

"Thank you, Old Mu." Li Qiye replied lazily. He would have wanted to sleep some more but alas, he needed to be present in this special occasion.

The lineup of lavish carriages entered the city and came unto the center of a particular clan within.

"Welcome to Crimson Mountain City, honored Daoist Shadow Fingers Mu!"

"I pray that your journey here was a calm and enjoyable one." A beautiful lady met the weary travelers.

Her eyes never bothered to stay in our mc but only focused on the old man wearing simple white cultivators robes.

"..." Old Mu merely nodded and just continued to stand there as if everything that happened around him had no significance to him whatsoever.

"Please come into our humble abode. Our Chen Family is delighted to have you." The beautiful lady took no offence and still wore that lovely smile on her face.

One should know that Old Mu was already an existence that has reached the Foundation Establishment Stage. This was all but normal to the favored people of heaven.

The majority was simply untalented in comparison.

"You really appear as everyone says." A statement was put into the air. Our mc had already met his future in laws and now he was beset by the snobbish aura of his fiancée.

"I could say the same thing to you, Chen Mei. You are a rare sight to behold indeed." Our mc Li Qiye replied with praise promptly.

His eyes surveyed the contours of this raven haired beauty before him and were satisfied with what he saw.

She was adorned in flowing robes of white silk spun from special threads that hugged her body quite deliciously. It emphasized her attractive bosom that could make any man crazy in lust at first sight.

This was especially true since Chen Mei dressed to impress in this occasion.

"Typical." Chen Mei said. Ever since she was young, she had always been showered with the praises and adulation of the many. The boys followed her like a plague. And now at age 20, she was a ripe woman for the taking.

"So what do you think of this engagement?" Our mc asked even though he already knew the answer to this question.

A pregnant pause appeared between them before a strong voice announced its determination.

"It is what it is. I will not tarnish my family’s honor."

And so a wedding ceremony happened just 3 months later. Although Chen Mei was stunningly beautiful but she was not yet a daoist cultivator and had no great gifts in this area.

There would be no arrogant young masters vying for her attention in order to compete with our very own protagonist. Not that it would create any waves if there were.

With the opness of Li Qiye, even the immortal gods and majestic demons would have to bow their heads in submission.

"What are you staring at?" Chen Mei asked as she was annoyed by how her husband was looking at her.

She was all too used to seeing intent gazes of lust from most of the men around her and she did not enjoy the attention at all.

She had read books of romance from the Heaven’s Reach Myriad Scripture Hall and would have wished to fall in love like the girls in those books.

Alas, she was sold by her family unto the influential Li clan. It did not need telling that Chen Mei was not reconciled with the fate that she has been forced unto.

"At no one else but you, my wife." Li Qiye smiled tenderly. He was quite dashing in his crimson robes that had dragon markings upon it.

This handsomely matched his wife’s blood red dress that depicted intricate phoenix designs on its fine surfaces.

"Fix your eyes somewhere else and don’t come near me. The marriage is done. You have a wife in me. Nothing else." Chen Mei replied frankly. Still, a blush could be seen decorating her face at this time.

Our mc was truly an attractive man well above his peers. Her defense was almost undone earlier.

"As you wish." Li Qiye shrugged and returned to rest on the huge matrimony bed. In time, soft snoring sounds could be heard inside this luxurious room of the newlyweds.

"Hahhh..." Chen Mei released a sigh of relief. Although she was much much stronger than Li Qiye in terms of the Body Refining Stage but she never wanted to create any disturbance in the Li Clan.

Especially not on this special occasion. Chen Mei appreciated that her husband was wise enough to back down.

She took some thick rolls of blankets from a nearby cabinet and proceeded to fashion a makeshift bed thereafter.

"Zzzzzz." Sleep took her in time and her dreams were definitely far from peaceful.

Morning came which announced the start of another day. This morning beckoned different surprises for everyone still living.

"..." Chen Mei rose up to the soft embrace of a full bed. She could only account this to the unwanted workings of her husband.

She checked her body to see if she had been molested in any way but was thankful that she felt no change in any way whatsoever. She took a deep breath and went out to do her morning training. She has faith in herself and knew that she would not be weak forever with enough training under her belt.
