Chapter 995: Chapter 995 Curious

Our bored gamer paid no attention their plight and just walked straight ahead as if he knew every nook and cranny on this place. And in fact he did.

One did not become a true immortal without extraordinary powers to back it up. At least on this current world, everyone was akin to ants before the irresistible might of our very own protagonist.

"That... my friend... where are you going?" A soul could not help but ask.

"I’m going someplace I need to be." Clark was cryptic in his answer.

"What is your name and how have you come down the mountain?" Another queried. Every one of them knew that beyond the mountains was a restricted area of the sect.

No one who ventured there came back and yet this ordinary looking young boy arrived unscathed at their forefront.

This made them doubt about the many tales of horror that they had heard about that mountain of doom.

"You can all call me..." Our bored gamer paused here as he remembered one of his favorite xianxia novels in the past. He smiled when he hatched a plan to follow the antics of that great mc.

"...young master. Yes, I go by the name of young master." Clark’s smile widened at the end of his words.

Since he was going to stay here and trapped for millions of years, he would make every second count for it to matter.

"Young? Master?" Every single one in the scene tried to taste the flavor of the words on their lips.

They had seen rich young masters in the past but the one before them certainly did not encourage such a term in their midst.

One should know that good gamer had an ordinary face and an average height at that. He did not even break the 6 feet height average like most of the cultivators in the sect.

"Are you going to the Soaring Immortal Sect, young master? Only disciples and honored visitors can get inside its premises. I fear that you would not be allowed entrance beyond the gates."

A smart disciple was the first one to react. All of them felt that bored gamer was weird and mysterious but he was the first one to capitalize on this hunch.

"That’s no problem at all. I can be both if I wanted." Clark shrugged and continued his lazy pace towards the distance. One hour later, the group arrived at the tall doors of the Soaring Immortal Sect.

Although this was merely a shadow of its former glory but the sect still preserved some of its finer qualities. One of those was of course these gates that had saved them countless times in the past.

"This thing is made of precious materials. Perhaps only a Holy Emperor could ever hope to successfully besiege such a creation of marvel."

Our bored gamer commented as he inspected the heights and make of the gates. It took a visage of brown like mud but the defense it held was more than what met the eyes.

He could decipher the hidden ancient sigils and runes that were carefully tattooed on its surface. It was easy to tell the meticulous care of the maker of these gates alone.

Clark looked around and sighed at what he saw.

"It’s just sad to note that the children could not follow in the steps of their predecessors." Clark shook his head and took one more step closer.

"BANG!" A surge in power descended on the scene which circled primarily at the location of our very own protagonist.

"HELP!"

"Don’t kill us!"

"We are disciples of the sect!" The dozen outer disciples cried as the laid flat on the ground. A heavy spiritual pressure landed on their backs that almost crushed all the air from their lungs.

Seconds more and speaking was a dream of the past. A couple breaths more and all of them were barely breathing on the spot.

They would have no doubt gone unconscious if not for our avid gamer’s actions next.

"Tap."

"Tap."

"Tap." He walked unimpeded until he touched the gates with his bare hands. The spiritual pressure stopped completely in the next breath.

"What an interesting child. To be able to have such depth and insight for one so young, I believe that his master must be a peerless teacher." An old man said to himself.

He might be old but he was not blind and deaf to not note the many peculiarities in our bored gamer’s appearance.

In truth, he almost forgot his station and would have happily attended the child with his presence. Alas, the younger generations matter should be left handled on their own.

"Yuan Yong." This hidden old fogey in the Soaring Immortal Sect summoned one of his disciples.

"BANG!" Another old man knelt hastily in place. There was a tremor in his skin which denoted what might have been excitement more than any other emotion.

This old man Yuan Yong could not recall the last time his master had summoned his in his abode.

"This loyal disciple greets you, master!" Yuan Yong did his obeisance. He would have long died in the streets long ago if not for his master to rescue him from that hellhole.

Thus, Yuan Yong had a lifelong devotion to his benefactor and teacher. Unfortunately for him, he was baffled by his master’s instruction in the next moment.

"Please come inside, honored guest. Lady Shen awaits your audience." A servant in the sect announced.

"Lady Shen? Is that maiden s..." A disciple wondered out loud only for his face to be slapped hard red and bloody.

"An outer trash disciple does not deserve to utter Lady Shen’s name!" The servant scolded harshly. She would have no doubt added flame to the fire if not for our good gamer’s timely rescue.

"Leave them be. They have helped me a lot in the road." Clark said and walked towards the luxurious doors up front. The disciples bowed low towards him in gratitude and hastily escaped from the scene.
