Building An Empire Starting From The Labor Camp In Exile-Chapter 322: Forbidden ways?
Tiber stiffened. "What do you mean? You have forbidden ways?"
Atrox smiled. "Yes. This war demands I use everything I have. Do you forget, Tiber? I had a title way before I claimed to be the Lord of the Soryu."
Tiber paused, his eyes flickered as he began to calculate and think of where he had seen Atrox with another title. Where it all began, that made him think far to where it had started.
Far when he and Slya were still slaves back in the labor camp. It seemed like a long time ago. A lifetime away. He remembered what it was. How they were betrayed in a ruin and how Atrox claimed his power as a Knight.
He remembered the gate that was summoned and the demon that came out. He remembered that Atrox was given a title. An inheritance of sorts.
His eyes turned towards him. "You are going to use that? My Lord, if you summon something like that into this world, something that powerful..."
"It will destroy it?" Atrox asked in a perfectly calm voice. "Tiber, have you forgotten what you swore to follow? It is not a pretty dream. You swore to follow me and my ambition. Nothing else. And I already told you that my ambition will be achieved no matter what stands in my way."
Tiber stared at Atrox for a long time, then he smiled. "I forgot for an instant there, my Lord. Forgive me."
"Worry not, Tiber. I will not be an Emperor that rules over empty and burned cities. But right now two clans lie in my way and I will tear them down.
"The Akatsuki will do far worse to my land and I will not let them. Their clan leader’s arrogance will be their downfall."
"Come, Tiber. We must find a safe place to do what we must."
Once his mind was made up, Atrox did not waste time to do what he wanted. 𝐟𝕣𝕖𝐞𝐰𝕖𝚋𝐧𝗼𝚟𝐞𝕝.𝗰𝐨𝐦
They left the camp with secrecy with the help of Eryndor, who carried them away. Atrox warned his personal guard though. "You are about to see what you have never seen before. I want you to keep your mouth shut, Master Knight Eryndor."
Eryndor shook his head. "You are already the clan leader, Lord Atrox. We are all shackled to your will."
The place they found was on a rocky hill and Atrox took a deep breath and got his essence flowing. He took out the technique book that was given to him a long time ago and studied the spell once again.
"My Lord, should we get ready for fighting?" Tiber said, his hand tightening on his sword. Even though he trusted Atrox, his body was still reacting to the doom that was about to befall.
Eryndor had not been told much but he still picked up on Tiber’s fear. Tiber, who was not usually afraid of anything, was so fearful that it showed on his face.
Atrox shook his head. "If he turns on us then we are dead. There is nothing we can do about that. Prepare yourselves, you two, and whatever you see or whatever happens, do not do anything without my saying so."
Atrox’s eyes narrowed as he concentrated. He cupped his hand and then his mouth opened and he began to speak in a language that did not belong in their world.
There was silence after his short chanting and then the ground beneath their feet erupted and groaned as a forest of bones began to grow out of the ground.
The bones creaked and bent as they wove together, forming into a gigantic door with arcane words of lava on its surface. The door creaked open and he was standing there just as he was the other time.
He was tall and muscular. He wore a yellow robe and a white scarf was around his neck. His hair was white fire that snapped and cracked around the two black horns that jutted out of his head.
His eyes focused on Atrox immediately. "Lord of the Eternal Pyre, you are still alive, it seems."
His voice was just as calm as it was the other time.
Atrox smiled. He forced himself to because now that he was strong enough to know, he could see just how much power the one standing before him had. It was a terrible power. A fire that consumes all.
"Yes, I am still alive... Lord..."
"Just call me the White Demon."
"Oh yes. The White Demon," Atrox repeated.
Before he could say anything else, the White Demon clapped his hands and all the bone trees turned to fire trees, white fire that burns like ice, but Atrox knew that it could change to heat far greater than he could create in an instant.
The White Demon smiled. He flashed a white sharp fang. "You have given that old man a big trouble. His presence ran across the smaller realms and his location became known. He will not disturb you for a while as he searches for a new hiding place."
"You know all about that." It was not a question.
The White Demon laughed. His laughter was smooth and easy. "Of course. You have provided the most entertainment, young Lord."
Atrox did not know how to feel about the fact that he had provided entertainment for beings far higher and greater than him. Was the old man just as powerful as these people?
The White Demon focused back. "Even as your powers have increased, I still cannot stay here for long. Tell me what you want."
Atrox’s gut tightened and his eyes narrowed. What he was about to do might cost him more in the future but as it was, he had no choice. "I need you to do me a favor. I will repay it back when I am ready."
The smile on the White Demon was wiped away immediately and his face grew weary. "Young Lord of the Eternal Pyre, a warning from someone as old as me. Do not ever ask for a favor unless you have something to pay right at the same time and immediately. They will take far more than is given.
"You are a Lord in Hell. Once you make a favor like that, it will bind to the soul."
