Still, she studied him carefully.
Up close, his face was even more shocking than she had earlier thought. The nerdy boy she remembered though not ugly looking had always looked awkward and average. But now he looked completely different.

Emily almost felt the urge to squeal with joy. He was definitely her type. There was absolutely no mistakes about it. She even began to feel strangely possessive of the adorable angel in front of her. The more she looked at him the more that obsession seemed to grow.
Around them, a few students who were chatting with their friends turned towards their direction with curious glances. After all, It was rare to see someone like Emily talk to someone like Alex even if he had suddenly evolved to a literal hunk of a man.
Emily noticed their attention but didn’t mind. In fact, it only made things more amusing. She could use this opportunity to mark Alex as hers and silently warn any ignorant bitch, who was thinking of taking what belonged to her.
Brushing a stray strand of hair behind her ears, she hesitated before speaking, playing the part of an innocent, smitten school girl to absolute perfection.
"Actually... I wanted to ask you something. I hope you won’t mind?"
"What is it?"
"Do you have any plans later today?" Her voice dropped, growing softer and more intimate. "I was thinking... Maybe we could go grab some coffee or maybe... We could find a quiet spot to hang out."
Alex put on an extremely shocked face, and forced his face to flush red with embarrassment, by secretly giving his thigh a tight pinch. He looked at her as if he couldn’t quite believe what he had just heard.But internally he already knew that this was bound to happen. It’s not like he was emotionally dumb or something, he could tell by the glances she’d been giving him earlier, that this was her plan all along. And what do you know, it also aligned perfectly with his own plans. Which was simple: to get a close to Emily, then use her to get to the real prize. Her hot Milf of a mom.

Suddenly a sharp cold voice cut her off. The voice came from a familiar looking petite woman with a cute baby face, short blonde hair and an icy aura that suffocated the air. Despite her short stature, no one dared to underestimate this woman.
Alex felt his heart drop and almost wanted to shout ’why?’ to the heavens. He had assumed earlier that since Nyx did not call him or do anything throughout today, that maybe, just maybe, she had forgotten all about that crazy night. But it looks like she had just been waiting patiently for when his guard was down to deal with him.
While Alex was lost in his thoughts, Emily felt offended at being cut off mid speech by the petite woman. And what made her even more furious was the fact that the baby faced girl seemed to be on the same level of beauty as her, plus the fact that the baby faced girl had just called off her plan to go out today with Alex.
With reproach and annoyance, Emily tried to tell the baby faced bitch to back the fuck off, but the sudden icy gaze from the woman’s eyes stopped her dead in her tracks. Her body involuntarily shivered with fear, and not just any fear, but a deep sense of overwhelming fear.
Emily felt like she was not staring at a human, but an ancient prehistoric beast who could kill her in a second. She moved her confused and unwilling eyes to Alex briefly. She definitely didn’t want to back down. Not like this. Not when she was so close.
With unwillingness in her heart, Emily clenched her fist tightly and forced out a smile that looked worse than a cry.
"I... I just remembered I have something to do." She managed to choke out.
She turned her gaze back to Alex and this time lingered on his face for a minute longer as if trying to etch it into her mind. Then she turned and fled the room. The remaining students who had been watching the drama unfold, quickly followed her lead and left the room, leaving Alex and the baby faced bodyguard alone.
"I won’t repeat myself. The boss would like to have a word with you. Let’s go."
After saying that, the baby faced bodyguard in the crisp elegant black suit did not wait for his reply. She turned after delivering the message and walked out of the class.

"Yeah thanks for the wonderful lecture professor." Alex muttered under his breath with sarcasm while hurriedly grabbing his bag.
By the time he stepped into the vast hallway, the babyfaced bodyguard was already halfway down the hall, which annoyed him a bit.
"Hey... You could at least wait," Alex said, catching up slightly. Though it wasn’t easy to catch up with such a petite woman who seemed to be moving at a leisurely pace and at the same time covering much better grounds. Alex had to wonder whether this woman was a cold robot or something.
Soon, they exited the school and headed straight toward the polished black SUV waiting by the side. The baby faced bodyguard opened the rear door and gestured for him to get in, her expression as taciturn and unreadable as ever. He obeyed because at this point resisting felt a bit pointless, he might as well just face the problem like a man.
She closed the door, got into the driver’s seat, started the engine and drove off. As the SUV weaved through the city, Alex’s stomach twisted in dread the closer they got to their destination. It was not his fault that he was so... Nervous, okay. Anyone who was literally in the exact same situation as him would probably have fainted from fear due to Nyx fearsome reputation. Especially after fucking and leaving the queenpin without any explanation.
He tried convincing himself that maybe it wasn’t even about killing him, that maybe she just wanted to transfer his fifty percent share, but who was he kidding? After what he had done with her last night, he knew that his fate was basically stamped and sealed.

"You know I oughta ki..." He paused mid speech and suppressed his irritation with a sigh. You know what? there was no need to give in to the annoying midget’s words. With that thought Alex focused on the fact that the car had already begun to slow down.
They were slowly heading towards the entrance of a massive building complex. The name at the front was impossible to miss; Bluepeak corporation. One of the most popular tech companies in the city, though it couldn’t compare with the big dogs it was still impressive.
He remembered that later in his past life, the company went bankrupt three years later. It was after a couple of years that it was revealed that one of the directors was secretly working for Marcus and had embezzled a huge amount of cash. Though at the end no one knew what happened to the man, but there were rumors that the underworld queenpin had already had him killed for the unexpected betrayal.
They soon moved through security without delay and parked into the underground parking area that looked more of a private hangar than a parking spot. As they stepped out of the car, the scale of the place hit him at once, and Alex had to remind himself that this was technically going to be half of his property if he managed to survive today’s encounter. Still, that did nothing to make him feel any better.
