By Seeing Beasts' Training Paths, My Beast Became Invincible-Chapter 87: A soldier
Turns out, the high-tier areas weren’t as easy to survive in as he thought. They had to face the demons of this world. The enemies were even stronger than humans and the ancient races.
Of course, if everyone cooperated, it might’ve been easier—but they didn’t.
The players split into two sides.
Humans and ancient races.
The reason for this was quite understandable, since humans and ancient races already hated each other to begin with. Plus, the competition between the sides remained strong.
He didn’t know whether it was good or not. But in his opinion, it didn’t help them survive against the demons—an authority no one dared to underestimate.
In this world, to earn as many points as possible, they had to kill monsters. Right, it was obvious, but it was complicated too.
Because the monsters sheltered in harsh environments—take this freezing place as an example—it meant they had to fight them on the monsters’ home ground.
Well, it was very hard. Rocky knew it well, since he had already suffered from it.
And the core of the matter was supplies and knowledge of where they would fight.
Supplies... they could be found from the native people of this world, in places where no monsters lived.
Finally, they needed an expert—though Rocky doubted it.
An expert who was native to this land. But none of them had enough guts to follow, even for a huge price. After all, no price could compare to their own life.
Rocky scratched the back of his head in uneasiness.
(It’ll be a long journey before I meet Scarlet.)
Humans had already built an immense outpost 200 kilometers away from here. It was meant to be a safe shelter and also a stronghold to fight against the demon forces.
As expected from the top 1 on the ranking board, Scarlet was one of humanity’s greatest commanders.
But that wasn’t all. He also learned something important from Paul. If he joined the human side, he would be assigned a role in the force. That role would help him earn more points.
But a sweet cake always came with a price.

[Do you agree to join the human side?]
[You will start as a soldier.]
[Benefits of a soldier]
Points from killing monsters will be doubled.
[Advice]:
..There are 4 positions on the human side (Soldier, Squad Leader, Commander, Great Commander). The higher the position, the greater the benefits.
..You should get promoted as fast as you can, because your higher-ups have the authority to give you orders in a war setting. Of course, they can’t directly order you to kill yourself or do something absurd. Still, it’s better not to pick a fight with them.
..Show your power by contributing to the human side and earning everyone’s trust. Once you meet the conditions, you can challenge higher-ups to take their position. After all, higher positions always have a limited number of slots.

Rocky blinked for a moment before saying,
"I agree."
[Congratulations! From now on, you’re a soldier.]
Rocky sighed as he muttered,
"It’ll be fine."
Just like that, Rocky fell asleep.
Ting!
[Congratulations! You have survived 12 days.]

[300 Days – Day 12: 00:00 remaining.]
Current points: 15902 points

[Your current points will be offered 1000 points from the low-tier area.]

7 hours later.
Rocky trudged across the snow, occasionally glancing back at the pack of beasts dragging the supplies behind.
Then, he noticed Paul and his fellows, who were dragging themselves through the freezing winds.
(Do they really have a plan? I doubt it.)
Indeed, relying on others was quite irritating, but he had no choice at the moment.
Only they knew the way to escape from this place and head to humanity’s shelter.
As if to put an end to Rocky’s countless thoughts, a horde of monsters began to emerge from beneath the snow.
They continued their dull job, but it was critical for this mission.
...
[You have slain a Winter Ravager.]

(Tsk. I knew they were just trying to wear us down, but it couldn’t be helped. After all, we were in their territory.)
Rocky thought as he danced a deadly rhythm around the supplies, wiping out the monsters approaching their target.

At some point, an explosion violently erupted on the opposite side of where Rocky was protecting the supplies.
"Damn it!.....A demon!" a guy yelled to warn everyone.
"Go... go... go... gather around the supplies!" Paul roared while lunging at a small group of demons.
Rocky frowned and nodded at Bobby and Matt.
"Back them up."
20 minutes later, the monsters and demons began to retreat, everyone mostly collapsing in exhaustion.
Rocky looked over the supplies, more than half of them burned and destroyed by the explosion.
Rocky scratched his head in helplessness. It couldn’t be helped—after all, only Rocky, Matt, and Bobby weren’t enough to properly protect the supplies.
The previous ambush had been too sudden, and there were too many enemies for them to handle.
If Rocky hadn’t been there, everyone would’ve already died in the ambush.
So, pushing back the enemies and keeping what little supplies were left was already a ridiculously miraculous thing.
"We got a demon!" one guy yelled as he saw a fur beast tightly grabbing the demon.
Then, the troop turned their attention to that demon and closed in on the spot.
Rocky rubbed his chin for a moment.
"Let’s see."
