By Seeing Beasts' Training Paths, My Beast Became Invincible-Chapter 97: The Squad Leader
"You can call me Jordan," Jordan said, staring at Rocky with excited eyes.
Rocky just scowled in annoyance as Jordan kept staring at him like a pervert. So Rocky tilted his head and asked,
"Did you know me?"
Jordan grinned as he answered,
"For sure. Who doesn’t know the one who even caused Prince William himself to wipe out the most of the nobles’ descendants?.’’
Rocky scratched his head, remembering something from a few weeks ago. Indeed, William had killed all of Rita’s underlings. He just hadn’t expected they were nobles—he thought they were just common underlings.
Rocky clicked his tongue, thinking about what he would face when he returned to the real world, but that wasn’t a concern right now.
He shrugged and said,
’’So, you’re... one of them too.’’
Jordan shrugged and went back to his business. He glanced at the papers on the table, looking at them carefully as he said,
’’What have you been doing all week outside? Sleeping? Or just messing around?... It’s not an offense. I just thought, with your level, you’d be at the top rank instead of down here.’’
Rocky let out a long breath and waved his hand slightly.
’’Tsk. I was wondering why... Don’t ask me.’’
Rocky didn’t want to say too much about his time in the lower-tier area. Honestly, it wasn’t worth telling.
Jordan blinked for a moment before picking up a paper and reading it carefully.
’’Which unit do you want to join?’’
Rocky chuckled and said,
’’What kind of missions do the units take?’’
Jordan paused for a moment and answered,
’’Well, most of them involve killing. As you know, our enemy is demons. They’re a huge obstacle that keeps us from earning points. Plus, they’re also one of the ways we can earn them. They operate as a unified bloc, like an army, so it’s hard to defeat them if we don’t act the same way... Actually, I don’t want to sit here every day doing stuff for adults that I’ve never done before... I just want to kill monsters and go to sleep at night... Uh, sorry, I got a little off track.’’
He added, ’’In short, our goal is to eliminate the demons’ outposts in this icy land. So the missions you’ll receive all serve that goal, understand?’’
Rocky frowned, rubbing his chin. He began to grasp the core of it, although that handsome guy’s explanation was a bit unclear.
In conclusion: the main forces would focus on finding and destroying the demons’ outposts, while smaller forces would support them.
Rocky paused for a while before saying,
’’Scarlet... are there any missions involving her?’’
Jordan raised one eyebrow and leaned his neck toward Rocky. He spoke with a hint of uncertainty in his voice.
’’Are you sure?’’
Rocky narrowed his eyes for a moment.
’’What do you mean?’’
Jordan let out a long breath before answering,
’’Here’s some advice: you should avoid that crazy one. I admit she’s very beautiful... no guy in the world wouldn’t want to join her troops, I guess... However, after a long time witnessing her insanity, I suppose only masochists would want to go near her.’’
Rocky tilted his head in confusion. It was quite strange, because Scarlet, as he knew her, was a gentle, friendly girl. Even if she talked a little too much, she was still easy to get along with.
’’I want to hear more about her.’’
Jordan let out a long breath in relief, as if he had just found someone to vent his resentment to.
’’That crazy one? She beats anyone who dares to look at her. I don’t know, but most guys have probably taken a punch from her at least once. Those punches can knock you out for days and even break a few ribs. Best thing is, don’t look at her body—especially not her chest or her ass.’’
He added in a fearful voice,
’’Even my prince couldn’t defeat her—’’
Rocky frowned upon hearing that. But the things he cared about most hadn’t been mentioned, so he asked,
’’Only that? "How is she? What’s she like...?’’
Jordan rolled his eyes.
’’That’s what you care about? Uh... now that you mention it, I should say this. She always leaves her room with dark circles under her eyes, and she cries all night, keeping everyone else up.’’
’’Well, aside from that, she’s strong as hell.’’
Rocky’s face darkened. He pressed his temple as he thought to himself.
(Damn it! I should’ve gone to find her right after the banquet ended instead of just waiting like that.)
(I’m such a bastard.)
Rocky had never thought Scarlet would be affected like that after witnessing his death. He never even considered it... or maybe he just underestimated her feelings for him. It wasn’t some short-lived affection, but something that had lasted nearly a decade since they first met at that banquet.
(Damn it! I have to see her.)
Rocky gritted his teeth and glanced at Jordan, who flinched at the intensity in his eyes.
’’Give me that mission.’’
Jordan slightly shook his head.
(What a masochist... pitiful.)
He said.
’’Okay....I’ll send you to that unit. You guys will transport supplies to her place.’’
1 day passed.
Rocky walked to the gate of the outpost, where everyone was gathering for today’s mission.
All night yesterday, Rocky couldn’t sleep as he thought nonstop about Scarlet. He just cursed himself for his stupid decision.
All hesitation vanished from his mind. He would meet her at any cost to say sorry to her.
(Ahhh...Crap! I really am a piece of shit.)
Meanwhile, Rocky scratched his head in confusion, cursing himself for his mistake. Everyone stood in two even rows, awaiting the Squad Leader’s speech.
The Squad Leader stood in front of them, preparing his speech to warn everyone about this mission, but he frowned as he saw a weirdo babbling something.
He yelled in annoyance.
’’Hey! You! Do you hear me? Come here!’’
Rocky was still standing there blankly, but Pual quickly shook his shoulder to remind him.
Rocky was still blank, yet he quickly snapped out of it as Pual reminded him.
Rocky glanced at the Squad Leader and headed over.
’’Do you have any problems with me, newbie?’’ the Squad Leader roared.
Rocky narrowed his eyes and smirked.
’’Of course. Yes.’’
The Squad Leader scowled, but then his eyes widened when Rocky spoke up.
’’I want you to give me that position.’’
Everyone’s eyes widened as they glanced at Rocky, except Pual, who just smiled calmly as if he had predicted it earlier.
The Squad Leader grinned.
’’If so, you must have enough qualifications to challenge me... Very good.’’
He added in an angry voice.
’’I will crush you and your beast. A beast from the Black Zone is unworthy to stand here.’’
But in the blink of an eye, Rocky was already standing in front of the Squad Leader. Everything happened too fast—none of them understood what the hell was going on.
Rocky blanketed the enemy with gravity and lifted him up.
’’Do you surrender?’’
But Rocky didn’t even wait a second, because he didn’t have much time to waste. His mind was still filled with thoughts of Scarlet.
Just like that, he tightened the gravity around the enemy, sending painful screams echoing everywhere before lazily tossing him aside like rubbish—the enemy tumbling across the ground several times before crashing into the wooden wall of the outpost.
He passed out.
Meanwhile, his beast was being toyed with like a pathetic rat in Matt’s claws.
Ting!
[Congratulations! You’re promoted to Squad Leader]
[You received three favors:]
+Your points from the low-tier area will be doubled.
+Points from killing monsters will be tripled.
+You can command the soldiers; none of them can go against your authority.
Rocky blinked for a moment before nodding. He glanced at everyone, who was still bewildered by the sudden change.
But they still nodded, showing no resistance.
After a while, they walked across the snowy ground while carrying the supplies. At some points, monsters appeared again.
Rocky frowned in discomfort. He actually wanted to fly to transport the supplies. Moreover, their speed would be much faster, but they would face a lot of risk from monsters—and even demons—on the ground.
Rocky ordered everyone to surround the supplies while fighting the monsters.

6 hours later, Rocky and his troop reached a snowy forest and built a makeshift shelter before the snowstorm began.
He lay on a fur coat by the bonfire, sighing,
’’Hope things go well today.’’
