Campione Scumbag in Mash-up Anime-Chapter 108: Nino and Itsuki’s Conflict
Chapter 108 - Nino and Itsuki’s Conflict
A Few Minutes Earlier.
Tokyo, Nino and Miku's Apartment, Night.
The living room atmosphere was filled with the warm aroma of home-cooked food. In front of the television, which was showing a late-night talk show, Itsuki sat relaxed on the sofa, wearing loose pastel pajamas. Beside her, Miku sat with her arms crossed, occasionally glancing at Itsuki's belly, which was beginning to swell with pregnancy. Miku's expression seemed flat, but inside her heart, a storm of emotions was brewing.
'Why is this world so unfair?' She thought, her inner voice full of bitterness.
'In high school, Yotsuba was the first to meet Fuutarou, the man I liked. And now, after I've grown up and finally like another man, Itsuki was the first to meet Ren-kun. She's in a relationship with him, and even pregnant out of wedlock...'
Miku's conscience was filled with guilt for harboring inappropriate thoughts about her sister-in-law. She knew it was wrong—Ren was Itsuki's boyfriend, and Itsuki clearly loved him very much. But, even though Miku repeatedly tried to suppress her feelings, she couldn't help it.
"Itsuki, I made your favorite, meat buns."
Nino came out carrying a plate of warm meat buns that had just come out of the oven, their fragrant aroma immediately filling the room.
Itsuki's eyes sparkled at the sight of the food.
"Thank you, Nino! You're the the best!"
Immediately, she took a still-steaming meat bun and ate it with a happy expression, her cheeks slightly flushed with satisfaction.
"Mmm... so delicious! Just as expected from Nino!"
Nino sat down on the empty spot on the sofa next to them. However, her smile soon faded when she suddenly brought up a sensitive topic.
"Honestly, your happiness is so simple, Itsuki. No wonder that guy managed to conquer you."
"Gulp."
Itsuki swallowed the bun with difficulty. She knew what Nino meant.
"Nino... I know you don't like my hubby. But can you please not talk like that?"
"Don't like? Of course, I don't like him! He's your student, Itsuki! Student! And he dared to seduce you, date you, and even... get you pregnant? He's a high school student, Itsuki! Are you crazy?!"

"He's not just any high school student, Nino. Hubby... he's amazing. He's responsible, he's caring, he loves me. I don't regret choosing him even a little bit."
Itsuki's defiant attitude towards Ren only irritated Nino.
"Not even married, but you already call him husband. It seems the phrase 'love is blind' is indeed true." Nino crossed her arms over her chest, looking at Itsuki whose brain was now ruined by love.
"Do you know that if this scandal gets out, your career as a teacher will be ruined? Ruined, Itsuki! And wasn't becoming a teacher like Mom your dream all along? Are you really willing to destroy everything for... a playboy student?"
Itsuki looked at her calmly, and before she could open her mouth, Nino added in a sharper tone:
"And don't think I don't know that Rokuhara is cheating. He has another woman, right? If he really loved you, he wouldn't be unfaithful!"
A long breath escaped Itsuki, as if holding back emotions. But it wasn't anger that came out of her—it was determination.
"Polygamy is not illegal in Japan, Nino. And I... don't mind. I know who my hubby is. Besides... I'm not capable of satisfying him in bed myself."
That sentence made Nino choke. Her wide eyes widened further, her cheeks flushed bright red like a boiled crab, a mixture of shock and immense embarrassment.
"W-What did you just say...? Itsuki!?"
Miku, who heard that, was also shocked. Her face turned red, and she immediately looked away.
Nino pursed her lips, then stood up and pointed at her younger sister with a trembling finger.
"You used to be the least interested in romance among all of us. You were always rational, always rigid... but look at you now! Getting pregnant first, even before Yotsuba who got married first!"
"Perhaps I was the person who cared the least about romance before. But... maybe it's because I'm also a person who secretly hopes to be loved sincerely. And I found that in my hubby."
Those words flowed from Itsuki's lips with the calmness of a grown woman who had made a big decision. Her smooth hand gently caressed her swollen belly, radiating a very strong maternal aura.
Seeing her, Nino was at a loss for words. She stared at her youngest sister—who was once known as the most serious, most rational, and most rigid—now sitting there with the serenity of a mother.
'What did that man do to change Itsuki this much?'
Nino sighed deeply. She had to admit one thing—love indeed had a strange power. Capable of changing someone for the better... or, conversely, much worse.
"Nino, Ren-kun isn't as bad as you think..." Miku finally said, trying to break the tension that was starting to feel stinging.
Nino immediately turned her head, her expression surprised.
"Miku, even you are defending that guy?"
"..."
Miku didn't answer immediately. Her gaze wavered, then with a bit of guilt, she looked away. She couldn't bring herself to look Nino directly in the eye.
That attitude only made Nino's heart burn even more. She plopped back onto the sofa with an annoyed movement.
"Hah... well then, don't blame anyone if one day Rokuhara leaves Itsuki. Just like our biological father did to Mom..."
Those words were like a stabbing knife. But Itsuki didn't waver. She looked at Nino with full conviction.
"My hubby is not like that scumbag, Nino. He won't leave. He loves me, and he loves this child too. He was always there for me even before I believed in myself. He stayed when I doubted our future. If she just wanted to have fun, she would have left long ago. But she stayed by my side..."
Nino bit her lip, her expression showing deep inner conflict.
"You trust him too much..." She muttered softly, but not as harshly as before.
The tense atmosphere in the apartment was suddenly broken by the sound of the door being opened violently.
*BAM!*
The sound startled all three women. Itsuki, Nino, and Miku turned towards the door simultaneously, their faces pale with shock.
"Someone came in... Nino, did you forget to lock the door?" Miku asked, her voice trembling with fear. Her mind immediately drifted to the worst possibility – a thief.
Nino shook her head quickly, her face as pale as Miku's.
"Impossible, I already locked the door! Quick, call the police!"
Usually, Nino was a brave person and not easily scared, but in the face of a dangerous situation, she was no different from any other woman.
She hurriedly looked for her phone, which was on the small table beside the sofa, her hands trembling as she tried to unlock the screen.
Among them, Itsuki was the most anxious. After all, she was a pregnant woman, and her instincts as a future mother made her worry not only about herself but also about the child in her womb.
She reflexively held her stomach, her breath catching in her throat, and her eyes were filled with fear.
"Nino, hurry... we have to hide!" Her voice was barely a whisper, too afraid to speak loudly.
However, before Nino had a chance to grab her phone or the three of them could move to hide, rapid footsteps were heard approaching.
*TAP!* *TAP!* *TAP!* *TAP!*
The intruders arrived with surprising speed, as if they already knew the layout of the apartment. In an instant, four men appeared in the living room doorway, causing the three girls to freeze in place. The four men wore similar clothing—long black robes with a strange blood-red symbol on the chest.
Their faces were hidden by hoods, but the aura they exuded felt cold and threatening, as if they were members of a dangerous heretical sect.
Instantly, the hearts of the three girls sank. Miku covered her mouth with her hand, trying to suppress the scream that almost escaped.
Despite the panic, Nino tried to protect her younger sisters by standing in front of them, even though her legs were trembling.
Itsuki hugged her stomach tighter, her eyes filled with tears of fear as she whispered.
"Please... please don't hurt us... if you want to steal, take whatever you want..."
