Campus Ace Girl-Chapter 483 - 484 Bo Qing! Do you regret it?
Gu Anxi curled up there, not making a sound.
Bo Qing made a phone call. Mrs. Bo, extremely tense, immediately instructed her driver to come over and also contacted Bo Xichen.
Bo Qing put away his cell phone and said blandly, "Your mother will be here soon. I’ll leave first." Having said that, he gazed at her intently.
Gu Anxi remained curled up like a small animal. She only spoke when he reached the door, "Second Uncle."
Bo Qing’s figure froze.
Gu Anxi’s voice was very faint, like a whisper in a deserted night. "The car accident two years ago, was it you?"
Bo Qing responded in a hoarse voice, "Don’t you already have an answer in your heart?"
He said, finally turning around, "Why ask me so suddenly? I thought you would never ask this in your lifetime."
"I don’t know," she spoke weakly. "Perhaps one is most vulnerable when sick."
Bo Qing quietly looked at her for a long time before asking, "What if I ask you to leave with me and go back there?"
Gu Anxi lowered her gaze. "Master, since when have you started making such impossible assumptions?"
Bo Qing smiled faintly. "You dare to openly acknowledge who I am to my face because you’ve found a powerful backer, is that it?"
Gu Anxi also gave a faint smile. "And you, Master? Is it because the Bo family’s very lifeline is intrinsically linked to you that you are so fearless?"
After she finished speaking, Bo Qing walked towards her and leaned down. His long, jade-like fingers gently pinched her chin. "You truly are my life’s masterpiece. Just a little disobedient."
Gu Anxi didn’t flinch. "Do you regret it?"
"Not at all." Bo Qing smiled faintly, his voice as gentle as ever. In fact, it was almost too gentle.
Gu Anxi asked no more. She quietly lowered her eyelashes, as still as a sleeping doll.
Bo Qing stared at her for a long moment, then turned and left.
Mrs. Bo arrived 20 minutes later, her heart aching terribly. Inwardly, she was cursing Tang Yuan to death.
Her dear child was so badly injured, yet the woman who gave birth to her hadn’t bothered to look after her at all! Thankfully, Bo Qing, a grown man, had been there. But where had Bo Qing gone now?
Mrs. Bo couldn’t bring herself to question Gu Anxi, who seemed to be asleep and utterly exhausted.
A short while later, Bo Xichen arrived. He personally reviewed the scans and was relieved to confirm that her condition wasn’t serious.
When Mrs. Bo mentioned Bo Qing, Bo Xichen replied casually, "Second Uncle probably has other matters to attend to."
Mrs. Bo nodded. "We were truly fortunate to have him this time. Anyone else might not have been so thoughtful in their care."
At this thought, her anger towards Tang Yuan flared, and she ground her teeth. That woman is truly too much!
They were all in the same car, yet Tang Yuan was unharmed, while Anxi was injured.
However, there was no point dwelling on that now. The most important thing was for Gu Anxi to recover quickly...
Gu Anxi didn’t wake up until eight o’clock in the evening. When she did, the light was warm, and Mrs. Bo was right there.
"My dear, are you hungry?" Mrs. Bo asked, her heart aching for her.
Gu Anxi, still somewhat dizzy, gently shook her head, then looked towards the couch.
Bo Xichen put down the magazine he was reading and came over. He adjusted the head of her bed, making her more comfortable. "I’d like some water," she said.
Mrs. Bo went to get her some water and then helped her drink it.
As she watched Gu Anxi drink, Mrs. Bo’s heart ached with self-reproach. I should have accompanied her myself.
Gu Anxi sipped the water. When she finished, she gave a soft cry and hugged Mrs. Bo.
In truth, she wasn’t seriously hurt; she had endured far, far worse. But when she was in pain and had such a gentle elder worrying about her, she just... wanted to be a little spoiled.
Mrs. Bo’s heart melted completely, and she doted on her like a precious child.
The incident hadn’t been publicized initially, but news of it somehow leaked. All the aunts and uncles from the Bo family came, Old Lin came, and people from all levels at An Pu arrived as well.
Gifts piled up like a mountain.
Lying in her hospital bed, Gu Anxi thought to herself, anyone who didn’t know better would assume she was on her deathbed.
But it was all out of goodwill. While her Younger Uncle and Mrs. Bo dealt with the visitors, Gu Anxi secretly slept.
After lying in bed for two days, her bones felt like they were about to fall apart. Thankfully, I’m being discharged tomorrow.
At six in the afternoon, Chu Yan arrived. Gu Anxi sat up, still feeling a little dizzy.
Chu Yan exclaimed, "If you’re not feeling well, just lie down! Don’t get up."
She had brought milk tea. Gu Anxi took it and sipped it like a precious treasure. "You’re the one who knows what I need."
She had just spoken when a rolled-up magazine lightly tapped her shoulder. "And I don’t know what you need?"
Gu Anxi looked up and saw her Younger Uncle.
Chu Yan snickered.
Gu Anxi glared at her, then turned to her Younger Uncle with a serious expression. "This is girls’ time. You’re not allowed to speak."
Bo Xichen smiled and went to do his own thing.
Chu Yan’s eyes widened impressively. "Anxi, you’re amazing! You’ve got Professor Bo completely wrapped around your finger."
Gu Anxi sipped her milk tea contentedly and sighed. "Wait until you have a boyfriend, then you’ll understand. There’s no such thing as taming a boyfriend; you’re destined to be the one who’s tamed."
She couldn’t reveal any more of these private matters.
Chu Yan gulped hard, feeling like the door to a new world had been opened to her.
Gu Anxi gave a suggestive wink. "How about a sweet little romance with Chu Ci?"
Chu Yan’s eyes flew wide open, and she was speechless for a long moment.
Gu Anxi continued sipping her milk tea, a mischievous glint in her smile.
Just as she was enjoying her playful teasing, Chu Ci arrived. He happened to have an engagement nearby today.
When Chu Yan saw him, she felt a little dazed.
Ever since she’d learned some of the inside story, looking at him felt different than before. Besides, they hadn’t seen each other for several days.
After he took her home that day, he hadn’t set foot in the old family house again, and they hadn’t met since.
Seeing him so unexpectedly now, Chu Yan felt a little awkward.
Chu Ci glanced at her, then placed the fruit basket on the coffee table. After exchanging a few words with Gu Anxi, he started discussing business with Bo Xichen.
Chu Yan, looking a bit lost, whispered, "Anxi, I think I’ll head out now."
Gu Anxi, sipping her milk tea, looked at her. "You’re such a chicken."
Chu Yan admitted meekly, "I am!"
She peeked at Chu Ci again, intending to slip away unnoticed. But the moment she moved, Chu Ci spotted her. "Wait a moment. I’ll take you home."
Chu Yan murmured, "Oh," and didn’t dare move.
Somehow, she was quite afraid of him now.
Chu Ci and Bo Xichen chatted for about another half hour. When Chu Ci got up, he looked at Chu Yan and said, "Let’s go."
Chu Yan murmured "Oh" again. Clutching her small backpack, she obediently followed him. Reaching the doorway, she looked back pleadingly at Gu Anxi.
Gu Anxi just laughed and waved her hand.
Chu Yan lowered her head and walked forward. After taking two steps, she bumped into a human wall.
She looked up, stunned.
"Can’t you even walk properly?" Chu Ci looked at her calmly, his hands in his pockets, showing no intention of helping her.
Chu Yan took a step back and whispered an apology.
