CASSANDRA: The Unfavored Princess-Chapter 150: Game Of Death
The Empress was looking at the Emperor who stood there at the door.
The Empress’s body shivered but she pretended that nothing had happened as she took some steps back. "The Emperor is here?"
The Empress’s voice was trembling but she tried to maintain it. She tried her best to sound as natural as possible.
"This place is not suitable for an Emperor to walk into." The Empress looked down as she said. Although her mouth was saying words, her brain was filled with many questions.
’What is he doing here?’
’Did the maid not add the poison?’
’How is it possible?’
’That cannot happen.’
The Empress was losing her mind. Although she did not show it in her face, the Emperor could see it all.
"Why?" The Emperor raised his eyebrows. "Am I not welcomed here?"
"Of course you are." The Empress tried to laugh. "But this place is not suitable for the Emperor."
The Emperor looked around as he saw the room. The room the Empress was staying in was comparatively well maintained. There were no dust particles anywhere. A smile formed on the Emperor’s face.
The place the Empress was currently staying in was an abandoned palace. It should not be that clear but looking at the situation, it was clear that someone must have deliberately maintained this place. The Emperor knew that the Empress would never do something like that unless she had called someone to do it.
But the Emperor’s eyes widened. He had asked the guards that were stationed outside if anyone had entered but they had specifically mentioned that only a maid came to give the food and within minutes she was out. The Emperor knew that it was not possible for the place to look like this until someone had done it.
’The Empress will never use her powers to do something like that.’
’She had called someone inside. I am sure of it but who?’
The Emperor looked around for any clue he might find but he could not. ’Once everything is over, all of her maids will be beheaded as well.’
"If my Empress can stay in such a place for a few days then as her husband I can be here with her." The Emperor took a few steps as he sat on the chair. "Do have a seat. I have decided to have some tea with you, my Empress."
The Empress’s eyes shook. She swallowed hard as she tried to maintain her face which was about to collapse. "I would decline the offer." The Empress sat in front of the Emperor as her eyes narrowed.
"Or rather, would you like to eat something?" The Emperor asked as he smiled. His face did not show any emotions. "I heard that the food they have given you is very little."
The Empress was feeling uneasy. Her brain had long stopped working. There was a guilty feeling that emerged in her heart. The Empress could not understand why she was feeling the way she was. Whenever she had done anything, she was not this scared but why today?
’Maybe because he is the Emperor.’ The Empress nodded her head. "I am afraid of getting caught.’
The only person having a higher authority than her was the Emperor. If she was found out then the consequences would be dangerous.
The Empress smiled as she nodded her head. Soon the plates of fruits came inside. The Empress analyzed everything with her keen eyes as she said in a soft tone. "I thought the Emperor did not eat fruits."
The Emperor who listened to this smiled as he leaned back. "I do not but I know you do." There was sadness in his eyes. "I know that the things I have done are not acceptable but the Empress should understand too. I am the Emperor and you are my Empress. You have some responsibilities towards me and this Empire. Your love for your children comes after it."
The Empress took a piece of apple as she put it in her mouth. The taste was normal, maybe a little sweet. "I know." The Empress said as she looked at her husband. "But a mother’s heart is cruel. It is difficult to stop myself."
"Yes, the Empress should not be kept here." The Emperor was in deep thoughts. "I will soon send you to your proper place." The last words of the Emperor were a murmur that the Empress could not hear.
"Is the Emperor going to give me my rightful position?" The Empress asked. Her eyebrows raised in question.
"Yes, your rightful position." The Emperor nodded. "I will make arrangements for it soon." The Emperor left with a smile on his face leaving the Empress still in her position.
The Empress’s eyes narrowed as she looked down at the apple at her hand. She removed the piece that she had put in her mouth as she gargled it with water.
The Empress did not trust the Emperor. She was sure that her husband was cooking something, otherwise, he would not have left after seeing her eating.
’I am not new in this game, my dear.’ The Empress thought as her lips curled up into a smirk. ’I am an old player. Someone who had been playing this game of death for years.’

Princess Cassandra turned around as she looked up at the Duke."The wind element had taught me how to use the elements effectively, but I have to practice."
Duke Salvador smiled as he ran his hand on her cheek. "Is it? Wasn’t I a good teacher? Why did you go to that element?"
"That element?" Princess Cassandra hit the Duke in his arms. "It’s the wind element. And when I woke up, it said that I had to learn a lot in a limited time frame."
Duke Salvador nodded. "Are you trying to distract me, my butterfly?" Aiden’s eyes turned dark as he looked at the fifth Princess.
Princess Cassandra shook her head in denial. "No." She looked down, not looking at the Duke’s sight. "I just wanted to show you what I have learned so far."
Duke Salvador’s lips curled up. "Are you going to use your powers here? Won’t it be dangerous?"
The fifth Princess shook her head in denial. "Not the powers but just the postures."
Duke Salvador smiled. "Okay, show me."
—------
Princess Cassandra stood in a quiet position as her eyes were closed. Her body started moving as if the posture was deeply rooted in her mind. It felt like a habit.
’Is it because I have practiced it in space for so long?’ Princess Cassandra wondered. She moved her body as if flowing along with the wind. Her hand movement was natural.
Princess Cassandra moved her arms in a circle as she rested her right leg to the side. Her wrist shifted as her palm was exposed on the outside ready to attack.
Princess Cassandra opened her eyes as she looked at the Duke who was observing her movement like a mesmerized man.
"So?" Princess Cassandra asked. Her eyes filled with anticipation. Duke Salvador felt like they were shouting at him to praise her. A small laugh left his mouth as Aiden walked towards the fifth Princess. He stood in front of her as his red eyes looked at her cornflower blue eyes.
"The element has taught you well." Duke Salvador rubbed his hand over his chin. His eyes were soon filled with a hint of satisfaction.
Princess Cassandra’s lips twitched. She looked at the Duke as she asked in a soft tone. Her helplessness could be sensed through her voice. "But?"
"But." Duke Salvador emphasized the words as his eyes narrowed. Unknown darkness clouded his gaze.
Aiden looked down at the frith Princess as he turned her around and held her two hands. Princess Cassandra’s back was touching the Duke as she could feel his strong body beneath his shirt.
"I can teach you something else as well." A smile formed on his face as Duke Salvador whispered the words in Princess Cassandra’s ears. "Follow my lead butterfly."
Aiden held Princess Cassandra as he moved her body up. Cassandra’s foot rested on Duke Salvador’s, making her eyes widen.
Aiden could feel princess Cassandra’s body stiffen as mischief flashed in his eyes but before he could act on his instincts he buried them deep inside.
’Not now.’ Duke Salvador told himself. ’Let’s teach her first.’
Aiden looked down as he could see Princess Cassandra blushing. ’We will have our whole life once this is all over.’
Duke Salvador took Cassandra’s hand as he started moving. His legs took strong steps forward, forming an arch.
Initially, Princess Cassandra felt like she was heavy but seeing Duke Salvador moving with ease she understood she was like a feather for him.
Princess Cassandra felt embarrassed as she controlled her breathing and concentrated on the way Duke Salvador was moving.
Cassandra knew that even though Duke Salvador made it look so easy and effortless but in reality it was difficult and Princess Cassandra was well aware of this.
