CAT WARLOCK: This Darklord Feasts Upon Horror-Chapter 157: Little Mitch
There were many kinds of Chaos Users. Warlock was only one of them. Warlock snatched Chaos from other beings. A few other Chaos Users already had a Chaos Singularity since birth, like witches, psychics and a few other Chaos Species.
They had their own ways of manifesting and harvesting Chaos.
For Psychics, as far as Mater knew, they produced Chaos via the Negative Emotional Spectrum. In other words, they produced negative emotions to produce Chaos.
That wraith didn’t suck out the Chaos. Instead, it pulled out the emotions inside the Psychics.
"A unique way of robbing and building Chaos?" Mater really hadn’t seen a wraith acquiring Chaos before. Wraiths that encountered him all died before he could see them do it.
"Stop it now! Don’t let it roam free!" Mitch got back up and shouted.
His teammates tried their best to restrain the wraith but their minds had lost concentration. Their Chaos Tentacles didn’t manage to even root the wraith.
"Shit! Do I really need to do everything?" Mitch shouted.
The tattooed man reloaded his two arms. Psycho Force leaked out from his mind and enveloped his arms. His Psycho Force was different than what Selina used.
Selina had a Chaos Singularity. But she absorbed Chaos the same way a Warlock did to strengthen herself. In a sense, she’s a hybrid of a Psychic and Warlock. That made her Chaos contain both mental energy and the pure unrelenting form of Chaos.
Mitch’s Psycho Force, however, only contained mental energy. This minimized how much he could reinforce himself using Chaos Flesh.
"That’s the same kill Selina used!" Loretta said.
Mitch got close to the wraith and punched it in the face. The wraith’s head jerked back.
That’s it. His punch wasn’t able to even cause it to step backwards. It was no different than a normal punch.
Mitch started to fight the wraith street-style. The man obviously had some experience in boxing with his high guard and focus on the upper body.
He and the wraith started to brawl at each other. Mitch got a fist on the wraith’s face then the wraith scratched him on the arm.
"Why is it so weak?" Becky said.
Chaos Flesh also had a different name in this world. They called it Body Enhancement. Becky only knew it by name and not what it was like. But seeing Selina easily explode an NCE made Becky think the Psychic Skill was very strong.
She changed her mind while watching Mitch.
Ordinary people couldn’t hurt NCEs. That was a rule. Only Psychics could. Chaos Flesh allowed a Psychic to hurt an NCE physically.
The other teammates used the opportunity Mitch created to regroup and refocus. They channeled ’Brain Freeze’ once again and tried to immobilize the wraith.
They succeeded this time, allowing Mitch to release a barrage of punches onto the wraith.
’It’s very weak. Probably another level 1 wraith’, Mater stroked his whiskers in deep thoughts.
The wraith fell onto the ground.
"It’s our chance! Quickly! Use Mind Break on it now!"
Brain Freeze and Mind Break were the simplest skills a Psychic could have. Almost every Psychic knew these two skills. So did Mitch.
He reached out his tentacles and plunged them into the wraith. His tentacles were small and thin, incomparable to the big black tentacles of Selina.
With all of their efforts combined, they were still lacking a little bit in order to overwhelm the wraith with Chaos.
Mitch turned to the three girls, "Hey! Don’t just stand there. Come and help!"
Loretta and Becky didn’t answer. They turned to Selina.
Selina shrugged. She blatantly walked in front of Mitch’s team. Her right hand formed a fist as red Chaos enveloped it.
With one punch, Selina crushed the skull of the wraith in pieces. The black cat was right on her shoulder to suck all the Chaos of the wraith away.
"Another three spheres. Nice." The black cat licked its lips.
Mitch and his teammates widened their eyes looking at Selina.
Mitch’s lips trembled a little bit, "You..."
Selina glanced at him, "What? I helped you, didn’t I?"
"Ah, yes! You did!"
Mitch’s face transformed immediately. All of those aggression disappeared, instead, there was only the face of a senior that was totally innocent and pure.
"Thank you, big sister!" Mitch bowed deeply.
"Heh. Flexible little due," The black cat laughed.
"I thought you wanted to pick a fight with me or something?" Selina raised an eyebrow. Her lips curved up slightly. She was deeply amused.
Mitch lifted his head up and scratched the back of his head, "Because I was blind, big sister. I was a stupid dickhead and thought I could be compared to my great sister."
The tattooed man crawled closer to her, "You can call me Little Mitch. Little Mitch admired strong people. If big sister needs a hand, just ask Little Mitch. Little Mitch will do anything."
Loretta watched everything in a daze. The man that acted like he could take on anything and wasn’t afraid of anything now looked like a loyal dog.
"Why is he like that?" Loretta asked Becky.
"He probably was a criminal once. It’s the first thing they learned so that they could survive in the underbelly of society." Becky whispered back.
"Oh!" Loretta’s eyes lit up.
"Really?" Selina grinned wider, "You do anything?"
"Mitch will do anything!" Mitch nodded repeatedly.
"These wraiths will respawn after we kill them. Locate them for me." Selina said.
Mitch stood up straight and did a salute. "Ma’am! Yes, Ma’am!"
He turned to his teammates, "You heard, big sis. Go do your job now!"
The teammates were also surprised by the turn of events but they didn’t refuse Mitch’s order. They began scattering around looking for the locations of the remaining wraiths.
Selina found a chair in the courtyard and sat down with Mater on her lap. "Now. We’ll wait."
Loretta and Becky sweated silently. They still remembered the innocent Selina they met just not long ago. Not the mafia lord in front of them.
Detective Flintstone watched everything in his office through the monitoring camera.
He nodded his head in approval, "As expected of a daughter of a PHANTOM. If she’s weak, I’d doubt her identity."
