CAT WARLOCK: This Darklord Feasts Upon Horror-Chapter 175: The Journal
With the jump in rankings, Selina attracted even more attention than before. The name Big Sister had become famous amongst the Bronze Hunters.
Once Selina and Mater picked up all the servants, they rode the motorcycle to the White Seam Factory, the second Bronze Rank mission.
White Seam Factory had also been turned into a military compound by the government. Huge metal walls were built to block any vision from the outside.
Selina’s motorcycle approached the entry. A DSI Agent walked out. He had a rifle in his hand.
"Identification?" He said.
Selina took out her Ankh Badge and showed the agent.
"Please enter." He walked to the side and allowed Selina to go past.
The White Seam Factory was once a clothing production factory. It focused on producing all types of clothes and was actually a very profitable establishment. Now, the only thing left of it was the black wall that looked like charcoal.
Selina found the parking area that the government had set up and parked her bike there. There were a lot of cars and bikes around, much more than the premise in the Lambskin Mansion.
"There are so many people."
"This bounty has much more following PI, right?" The black cat meowed.
Selina nodded.
They approached the main facility in front of the Factory. Instead of the huge containers like the Lambskin Mansion, the government set up green tents all over, making it similar to a military compound.
Selina approached the commanding officer to register for her entry.
"Hello! My name is Selina Isles. I’m here to register."
The blonde female officer turned back to take a look at Selina. She was a very tall and muscular woman. Her wide frame was very noticeable under that green uniform. There was a certain discipline and authority on her.
"Colonel Neala Gillingham. At your service." The female officer smiled.
"Billy! Take this girl and register her."
"Right away, Colonel!"
Another green uniform soldier came and led her to another tent to complete the process.
"Woah. Why didn’t see ask me anything?" Selina mumbled.
Billy turned back and smiled, "There was no reason to. If you can get in here, you are already a Psychic. Colonel Gillingham can sense other people’s strength so one look at you was enough."
"I see."
Billy quickly added her onto the entry list, then he handed her a silver suit.
"What is this?" Selina asked.
"Heat-resistance uniform. It can get very hot in there so I suggest you bring it with you."
"Oh. Okay then..."
"Do I not get one?" The black cat meowed.
"Um... Can my cat have one also?" Selina said.
Billy widened her eyes a little bit. He was surprised but still did his job. The soldier rumbled through the storage and found a small silver suit that was supposed to be used for dwarves.
"Maybe it can wear this?" Billy said.
"That should be good."
Selina helped Mater to get inside his shiny silver suit. The cat looked like a mini astronaut with very baggy clothes.
"You look ridiculous, Mr. Mater!" Selina couldn’t help but laugh.
"Grghhhhh!" Mater growled. His Chaos rushed into the silver suit and changed it to a proper fitting suit for a cat.
"Woah! What was that? Chaos Control?" Selina said.
"Nope. A higher form of Chaos Control called Chaos Sculpting. It is basically Chaos Control but it’s permanent." The black cat meowed.
"Permanent?! This thing is busted."
"Not really. Chaos Sculpting has extremely high demand in Chaos. Other than transforming a few small things like clothes and tools, it doesn’t really have that much use... for now."
Selina and Mater walked to the Factory where all the Psychics were around. They scattered and found their own place to chill. Most followed their own groups while a few were lone wolves without any teammates.
They quickly spotted Selina as she appeared. She had the face of a celebrity and the elegance of a model. It was hard to not notice her.
A Psychic widened his eyes and turned away. He quickly nudged his friend and whispered.
"That’s Big Sister. Don’t look at her."
"Big Sister? The one that punched Titan?"
Soon, everyone recognized her because of the GAIM on her chest.
Selina could feel the awkward silence and sneaky glances around her. She approached one Psychic.
"Hey!" Selina said.
"Gah!" The Psychic covered himself in fear. "Don’t punch me, Big Sister."
Selina frowned. She understood everything.
’That fucker Mitch!’ She screamed inside her mind.
"Where did you hear that name?" Selina said.
The Psychic looked around but no one came to his rescue. In the end, he submitted to his fate.
"Everyone knows about you, Big Sister. The aftermath of your battle was the headlines of today’s AS Journal."
"AS Journal?"
The Psychic nodded. He took his phone out and showed Selina a news source called Aeliz Supernatural Journal. It was a newspaper only for the supernatural world and Psychic.
On the front of their webpage was a new headline.
"DESTRUCTION HITS THE LAMBSKIN ESTATE
Lambskin Mansion Decimated in High-Stakes Bounty Clash! ’BIG SISTER’ took over the case..."
Selina read the article and slowly became more and more perplexed because of how ridiculous it was.
The state of the altar building was described rather factually. But Selina was put in a very dark light. She was described as someone who was very hard to work with, had a very bad attitude, especially toward seniors like Titan of the Atlas Seven and even hit him.
Overall, it was basically a defamation case and a revenge from John Shaw.
"You know. Justin would be great at dealing with this situation." The black cat meowed.
Selina grinned widely. Her expression was rather similar to Mater when he was about to mess someone up.
"Thank you." Big Sister gave the phone back to the Psychic. The guy was pleasantly surprised. He thought that she wouldn’t give his phone back.
Selina picked her phone up.
"Justin? Yeah. I need you to deal with a defamation case... Yes. It’s legit. I’ll send you the details."
While Selina was attaching the link and sending the case toward Justin, Mater the black cat walked around the front of the factory. His golden eyes flashed red as he scanned the location.
"The Chaos of this place is much less concentrated than the mansion. But there are a lot of them..."
