CAT WARLOCK: This Darklord Feasts Upon Horror-Chapter 191: Gold Feathers
The Ascendant disappeared, leaving a dozen feathers where it was.
"Stay sharp." The black jaguar growled loudly.
It transformed into a ball of spike and rushed away.
The Ascendant reappeared where the black jaguar was and slammed a fiery spear down to his location.
Bash acquired his target and rushed at the Ascendant.
The fiery man raised his hand. A cloud of fire breathed at Bash’s face. Bash was able to withstand all of it and continued charging at the man.
The Ascendant flew up to air. His fiery wings released heat waves into the surrounding area.
"Very durable. For a rank-1 demon."
The Ascendant sliced his spear up from below. At the same time, the ground beneath Bash raised up and flung the Infernal Demon away.
Crow, who was still invisible, struck the Ascendant from behind with his large Broad Sword. The Broad Sword went through the Ascendant.
But he was no longer there. There was only a cloud of gold feathers left behind.
"Sneaky."
The Ascendant had appeared behind Crow. His silver eyes detected the Abyssal Abomination easily.
He plunged the spear at Crow’s back. The Abomination turned around in time and used his Broad Sword to block the attack.
Crow was sent flying straight to the ground. His invisibility was disrupted and he rolled a few times before stopping. Crow would have been killed with that attack if the Abyssal Helmet wasn’t here.
Thunder echoed in the space as Crow approached the Ascendant in the air. He ran around the Ascendant, hoping to find a weak spot.
The Ascendant let go of his spear. The spear floated to the air. He clapped his two hands together.
A forceful heat wave expanded from his palms, sending Crow away.
"Reveal your True Form, Aurora." Mater communicated with the Wight telepathically.
Aurora nodded. She transformed into the skeleton of an elk. The snow sphere between her antlers screamed as they released a snowstorm to the surrounding area.
The Ascendant felt that right away. He frowned as his power began to diminish.
"Death Ice? You lot really are a dangerous group."
The Ascendant raised his hand. Arrows of fire formed around him and shot as Aurora.
Aurora replied with her own Glacial Lances. Large and thick Death Ice Lances that collided with the fire arrows.
Her lances weren’t as powerful as the arrows even though they were bigger. A fire arrow was able to penetrate 5 to 6 lances before its power gave up.
The rest kept going and shooting straight at Aurora.
The water clone from before used the ground beneath to form an Earth Elemental Shield before Aurora. She also summoned many Glacial Coffins in front of her to block.
Aurora barely managed to survive the barrage.
Mater used this small opportunity to find a better spot. The Spike Ball flew to the air because of Omnimotion.
With this spell and the high speed of the Spike Ball, Mater literally could roll anywhere.
But he did not try to get in melee range with the Ascendant. He circled around the Ascendant’s back then opened his mouth.
"Nether Beam!" 100 Chaos Points disappeared and five separated spheres of Nether formed within Mater, each representing a beam.
He blasted all five beams one after another at the Ascendant.
The purple beam blasted onto his back, dimming his fire and spreading the dark veins.
The Ascendant frowned and turned to Mater.
"You insect!"
He grabbed the fire spear and spun it. A circle of fire formed in front of the Ascendant and disintegrated all the Nether Beams that were coming.
The other clone ran around, trying to find a good opportunity to use Chains of Shadow. But the Ascendant was burning fiercely, erasing any shadow or darkness near him.
Bash returned. He let Crow stand on his large palm and threw him at the Ascendant.
Crow turned into a lightning bolt mid-air. His large Broad Sword aimed straight at the Ascendant’s back.
"You dishonored monsters!" The Ascendant shouted.
He disappeared again, leaving a bunch of feathers in the air.
’Tch. This guy has teleportation and very thick skin. If we want to cause good damage to him, we need to restrain him.’ The jaguar thought to himself.
Crow’s Eternal Sword needed charging. Aurora’s Glacial Coffin needed the Ascendant to stand on a surface.
’Eternal Sword... Wait a minute.’ A light bulb appeared in Mater’s head. He communicated something with Aurora and Crow.
The Ascendant appeared again, this time he was next to Aurora.
"You’re an undead, huh?" The Ascendant thrust the spear at Aurora.
A pink dome appeared in front of her. It was a quadruple-layered Force Dome.
For the first time, the Ascendant’s strike was stopped. He couldn’t penetrate the spell.
"This spell is weird..." He frowned deeply.
The Ascendant fought many Warlocks before but none had such a durable Force Dome.
Aurora summoned a Glacial Coffin to trap the Ascendant. His body turned gray because of the Death Ice
"This thing can’t trap me!"
The Ascendant swirled his fire spear and cut the ice pillar in half. His body burned more fiercely, removing all the effect of Death Ice on his body.
While he was distracted, Aurora had extended her distance. Crow left a trail of lightning behind as he rushed to Aurora.
The Abomination took off his helmet and returned to his usual form. The trench coat, the fedora, and the dark face.
"You know what to do." Crow said and put the Abyssal Helmet on Aurora. She was once again the Abyssal Caster, a combination of the hell of darkness and hell of ice.
The Ascendant immediately felt threatened by this presence. There was something about her that was different and he would not let them do what they wanted.
"This game ends now."
The Ascendant raised the fire spear. The spear screeched loudly as its tip transformed into a phoenix.
He threw the phoenix spear at Aurora and Crow. The path it went past was lit on fire. A vortex of lava formed around the spear.
Mater jumped in front of Crow. He manifested as many Force Domes as he could. Each was quadruple-layered and placed right behind one another.
A suit of armor materialized and formed around the body of the elk skeleton. The Glacial Eternal Sword appeared in Aurora’s mouth.
She charged the blade.
