Chapter 124: Chapter 121: Come Back With Me

Naomi Shaw pushed him away, stunned. She stared at him, dazed. ’His turn to pursue her for six years? Does he really intend to start over with me?’ She’d seen his intentions clearly these past few days, but she didn’t trust him. She didn’t believe he loved her.

And yet, his sweet talk was so compelling, his affection so seemingly genuine.

He didn’t press her further. Instead, he let her go and leaned back on his side of the seat.

"Do what you want with the ring. In any case, I don’t intend to take back something I’ve given away."

’I can’t push her too hard. What if I really drive her into Sean Donovan’s arms?’

’So, the ring... If she wants to wear it, fine. If not, I won’t force her. One day, she’ll put it on of her own free will.’

Of course, he never expected his own darling children would come to his aid. Just as Naomi Shaw lowered her head to take off the ring, Dylan suddenly spoke up.

"Mommy, the ring is so pretty. Why don’t you wear it?"

Naomi Shaw looked at Dylan, a little embarrassed and unsure how to answer. Dylan then turned to Joy.

"Don’t you agree, Joy? It looks so pretty on Mommy, right?"

To her surprise, Joy looked at her and nodded. Now Naomi was in a bind, not knowing whether to take it off or leave it on. Dylan cajoled her.

"Oh, come on, Mommy, just wear it! Joy and I picked it out, you know!"

Joy’s eyes were also full of anticipation as she looked at her. Unable to refuse her two children, Naomi gave up on taking it off.

"Alright..."

’I’ll just wear it for now,’ she thought. ’I can always take it off later when the children aren’t looking.’ Julian Donovan remained silent, but the slight curve of his lips was impossible to miss.

「Qindale Airport.」

Lara Nash, Arnold, Tyson, and Mrs. Sommers were all waiting to greet her. The moment they saw her walk out beside Julian Donovan, Mrs. Sommers burst into tears. Lara, having seen her before, was relatively composed. Arnold’s eyes welled up. As for Tyson, his expression was another story entirely—a mixture of longing, surprise, guilt, and anguish warring on his dark-complexioned face.

Naomi Shaw threw herself into Mrs. Sommers’s arms, breaking down in tears. Mrs. Sommers hugged her tightly, sobbing uncontrollably.

"My poor, dear child, you’re finally back. Otherwise, I don’t know how I could ever have faced your father when I die!"

"I’m so sorry, I’m so sorry..."

Naomi could only repeat the words through her tears. It was all her fault. She had been too afraid to face anything that reminded her of him, so she’d never contacted any of them.

Lara Nash shot Julian Donovan a venomous glare before turning away to wipe her own tears. Arnold walked over and opened his arms to Naomi.

"Miss Naomi, I’ve missed you so much..."

Through her tears, Naomi smiled at Arnold, who had grown into a handsome young man.

"I missed you too!"

Lastly, she turned to Tyson.

"Tyson..."

Standing before the tall man, she choked up the moment she spoke his name. Of everyone, she felt she owed Tyson the biggest apology. She had let him suffer from guilt and self-blame for three years.

Tyson looked haggard. In the three years since her accident, he hadn’t had a single peaceful night’s sleep. Nearly every night, he would dream of her gentle face, only to wake in the dark and lie sleepless until dawn. On the rare occasions he did manage to fall asleep, he would be jolted awake by visions of her struggling in the sea.

He didn’t speak, his gaze fixed intently on her. The love in his eyes was raw and unconcealed. He had never before dared to display his feelings for her so openly in front of others. It was only because SARA hadn’t come that he could be so brazen.

He loved her, yes, but he would never hurt his own wife and child the way Julian Donovan had.

"As long as you’re alive..."

Unlike the others, Tyson didn’t reach out to hug her. He just stared at her for a long moment before muttering those words, then turned and fled. He hid alone in his car, crying like a child.

He could finally be at peace.

Naomi stood frozen, tears streaming down her face as she watched Tyson’s retreating figure. Lara started to go to her but stopped when she saw Julian walk over instead. She turned and hugged Joy. Mrs. Sommers, having already heard about Joy’s identity from Lara, stepped forward and lovingly swept the little girl into her arms.

Julian walked over and pulled the heartbroken, crying Naomi into his arms, murmuring softly.

"Let’s go home for now."

In truth, watching this scene unfold, he was the one who felt the most pain. If he hadn’t been so cold and hurtful to her back then, she wouldn’t have been so determined to leave him, and that horrific disaster at sea would never have happened.

She was alive and well now, but a chill ran down his spine whenever he thought about what might have happened if she hadn’t been found by Sean Donovan.
