Chapter 85: Chapter 85: Summer Lancaster Is Missing

Dominic Thorne swaggered into the room and sat down on the sofa, taking a careful look around her home. Everything was predominantly pink—a pink sofa, pink furniture. ’Who would have thought such a fierce woman would have the heart of a princess?’

When Melody Donovan finished washing up, changed her clothes, and came out to the living room, she jumped in surprise. "What are you still doing here?"

"The door wasn’t closed, so I let myself in..." Dominic Thorne said as if it were the most natural thing in the world.

"But I’m sure I closed it..."

Dominic Thorne suddenly leaned in close to her. She had the faint, sweet scent of roses about her. Though she wore no makeup, her beauty was enough to topple nations.

Melody Donovan reached out to push him away.

"Did you think I’d fall for the same trick twice? Hmm?"

Melody Donovan put on an aggrieved expression, then broke into a smile. "You will!" ’He’s only got my hands pinned. Can’t I still use my legs?’

Melody Donovan raised her knee to deliver a fatal blow, but Dominic Thorne cleverly spun behind her. Losing her balance, Melody fell onto the sofa. She tried to grab Dominic Thorne to steady herself, but he ended up tumbling down with her.

They remained in that position for ten seconds, the man on top of the woman. They were so close. Her eyelashes were so long that they brushed against his cheek every time she blinked. Melody Donovan was stunned, too, momentarily forgetting to resist.

Dominic Thorne lifted his head to look at her. Her flushed, rosy cheeks were undeniably alluring. As they stared into each other’s eyes, Dominic could clearly hear a heartbeat—his, not hers.

Without hesitation, Dominic Thorne kissed her. Her lips had the fresh scent of mint. This ultimate temptation made Dominic lose all reason. He forgot his original purpose for coming here; all he wanted was to surrender to her charms.

At first, she passively received his kiss. Gradually, she began to respond. But her kisses were clumsy and artless as she shyly wrapped her arms around his neck, letting him take what he wanted.

His kisses trailed from her lips to her collarbone. Then, without any warning, he ripped open the clothes she had just changed into. The soft, snow-white flesh was exposed before his eyes, and he kissed it eagerly...

When Kenneth Yates arrived at the Lancaster Family’s home, only Gregory Lancaster and Audrey Adler were there. Audrey Adler said that Summer Lancaster hadn’t come home. Gregory Lancaster looked like he wanted to say something but stopped himself several times. ’If Kenneth knew what happened to Summer yesterday, he would probably tear this place apart.’

Impatient, Kenneth Yates drove away from the Lancaster residence and pulled out his phone to call Dominic Thorne.

Meanwhile, just as things were heating up between Dominic Thorne and Melody Donovan, a phone rang at the most inopportune moment. Dominic pulled out his phone, about to hang up, but seeing the name "Boss" on the screen instantly sobered him up. Only then did he remember the purpose of his visit.

"Dominic, is she at Melody Donovan’s place?"

"No!"

"Search the entire city immediately. We have to find her today!"

"Right!"

After he hung up, Melody Donovan sat up on the sofa, her face flushed red. She clutched her torn clothes to cover her exposed body. "Is something wrong?" Melody asked, seeing Dominic Thorne’s unusually solemn expression.

"Summer Lancaster is missing! Melody, we’ll have to pick this up another time. I have to go find her!"

"I’m going with you!" Melody Donovan’s eyes were filled with determination. Summer Lancaster was her best friend; she wouldn’t allow anything to happen to her.

"Alright, but get dressed first." Unconcerned with whether he was watching, Melody changed her clothes right in front of him, and they rushed out the door together.

Neither of them spoke in the car. Melody Donovan kept her head down. On one hand, she was worried about Summer; on the other, she didn’t want Dominic Thorne to get the wrong idea. ’What just happened doesn’t mean anything.’
