CEO's Contract Obsession-Chapter 235: Her Bravery
The sight of Amy crying in Henry’s arms with bruised arms and face, her hair disheveled, and with rumpled clothing, evoked a mixture of emotions in the onlookers. They were filled with sadness and joy at the same time for she had to fight by herself a while ago but was amazed with the skills and courage she had displayed during the incident.
Witnesses, including the shop staff and customers, as well as pedestrians nearby, had observed the events unfold. However, they remained frozen in shock, not out of fear, but due to awe and astonishment at Amy’s exceptional fighting skills.
The security guard and male staff members of the mall had been prepared to intervene, but they found themselves paralyzed by the sight of Amy single-handedly handling the situation with remarkable competence. Almost everyone who witnessed the fight marveled at her abilities, realizing that they themselves could not have fought as skillfully as she did.
Ava quickly noticed the crowd capturing photos and videos of Amy’s ordeal and immediately directed her team to intervene and prevent further dissemination on social media.
She instructed them to approach the individuals and request that they delete any pictures or videos taken, while, Rei and Trevor were engaged with the police, providing them with the necessary information.
However, their efforts to disperse the crowd and control the situation were interrupted by the arrival of the media. The reporters began filming the scene, broadcasting it live on the news before Ava’s team could effectively address the issue of unauthorized recordings.
Ava hurriedly approached Henry and Amy, intending to warn them about the presence of the press and guide them to the car for safety. However, Rei acted swiftly and reached Henry before Ava could. She noticed Rei whispering something to Henry before he left Amy in the care of the attending medics.
Upon Rei’s instructions, Henry understood the reason why they need to get in the car and that is to avoid the media frenzy. However, before doing so, he felt the need to do something important that would help him calm down.
He took a deep breath, turned his attention back to Amy, and gently held her hand, "Stay here love. Give me a few minutes," Henry said before giving Amy a soft kiss on the forehead.
"Where are you going?" Rei asked, concern evident in his voice as Henry walked away from the ambulance and headed towards the opposite side of their car. He couldn’t let him go alone, knowing the emotions running high within him.
"Don’t f*cking get in my way," Henry growled, his tone reflecting his anger. But that didn’t stop Rei from following him for he has a very good guess where he is going.
While the police were occupied with their duties, Henry walked toward one of the parked police cars. With a swift motion, he forcefully opened the rear door and reached inside. Grabbing hold of Alex’s shirt, he yanked him out of the car and forcefully threw him onto the ground. Alex landed with a heavy thud, his body impacting the pavement chest-first.
Henry, consumed by anger, gripped Alex’s hair tightly and forcefully turned his head to face him. Fueled by his pent-up rage, he unleashed a series of furious punches, repeatedly striking Alex’s face while cursing him with every blow.
"I f*cking know you! I’ve seen your face before!" Henry’s voice echoed with a mixture of fury and realization as he continued to beat Alex. Ava and Dave, alarmed by Henry’s intense assault, were about to intervene when they noticed Rei’s team standing by, watching without taking action.
But before they could approach Henry, Rei swiftly raised his hand gesturing them to stop, halting Ava and Dave in their tracks. "Do you want to be next?" Rei warned them sternly. "Let the police handle him. They will surely intervene."
And when the police, who had been preoccupied with the media and witnesses, finally noticed Henry’s actions toward their suspect, they swiftly reacted and rushed to restrain him and managed to bring the situation under control.
"Mr. Welsh, that’s enough. Do you really want to end up in jail as well?" One of the officers seriously warned.
"Damn right, I do! Send me there together with this motherf*cker so I can finish him off! I will kill him!" Henry shouted, his breath ragged from the relentless punches he had delivered, leaving Alex’s face beyond recognition.
"Mr. Blair! Please escort Mr. Welsh away from here!" The police chief commanded Rei, and without hesitation, he and his team swiftly obeyed the order.
"Did you get it?" Henry whispered to Rei.
"Of course, I did. Do you think so little of me?" Rei replied with a smirk, causing Henry to smile as well.
Ava and Dave who witnessed everything frowned, totally confused about what was happening. Amy saw the whole thing unfold as well but she was not surprised as she saw Rei pick up something not once but twice.
’What are those two up to?’ Amy thought.
The medic handed a wet towel to Henry as soon as he reached Amy and the ambulance. Henry took the towel and used it to wipe off the blood from Alex’s face that had splattered onto his own fist.
"What was that about?" Amy couldn’t help but ask.
"I’ll explain everything in the car. Come on, let’s get you to the hospital so they can complete all the necessary procedures for filing the case. Our lawyer will take care of the rest," Henry said to Amy. She nodded in agreement and stood up, ready to leave.
Amy winced as soon as her feet touched the floor. Her entire body was in pain, and walking in her stiletto heels will be a challenge.
Henry noticed Amy’s struggle and quickly lifted her off the ground, carrying her in his arms towards the car. Amy wrapped her arms around his neck, finding comfort in his strong embrace as she lay her head on his broad chest.
The next thing that they heard was people clapping their hands and cheering not only for her bravery but they were also for the tender display of affection between them.
