CEO's Contract Obsession-Chapter 320: Not Impressed

The two were panting after their vigorous baby-making exercise and Amy was so tired that she just slumped her body against Henry’s body and shoulder. Henry has this smile on his face as if he was happy that he made Amy that way... a motionless doll.

"No! Don’t you dare!" Amy retorted when she felt Henry move.

Henry laughed for he understood what Amy meant. She’s clearly thinking that he is on the move again. "Love, I am not at it again, I am just going to bring you to the stream to wash us both."

Amy was so tired that she can’t even lift her head and just agreed to Henry. And after cleaning up Amy raised her arms for Henry to carry her, "I have no energy left in me, you took it all. Plus, my knees are really wobbly, you have to carry me."

As soon as they got in the glamping tent, Amy took a small box under her pillow, something that she placed there when Henry was in the office.

She handed the small box with a ribbon on top to Henry and said, "For you, my husband."

Henry smiled and excitedly took it, "This is really for me?"

"Yes, I realized that I rarely give you gifts while you do the opposite to me. Go ahead and open it," Amy grinned as she eagerly wait for Henry to see what she bought for him.

Amy’s smile widens more when Henry’s eyes grew bigger after opening the box.

"Wow, love, I don’t know what to say. This is expensive, and you know that you don’t have to buy me expensive things right?" Henry took out the Patek Philippe Nautilus stainless steel watch from its box and wore it. He moved his wrist closer to his face to admire the watch more closely with a smile on his face.

Even though he already has a lot of luxurious things in life, nothing beats the one that Amy personally bought just for him.

"I know, I actually don’t know the price when I saw it. It just caught my attention while thinking of you. I used the earnings from my book and cafe to purchase that, so don’t lose it. I was first attracted to the design, I know it will look perfect on your strong arm," Amy chuckled at the last part of what she said and Henry did the same.

"I will take good care of it, I promise, and I could show you how strong this arm is while wearing your gift. I am still not tired you know and this gift just pumped up my adrenaline once more. I really like it, thank you, love," Henry said before leaning forward to kiss Amy while his hand that was wearing the watch landed on one of her breasts.

Amy’s eyes widen and immediately pulls up the blanket and covered herself, "Enough Henry! Control yourself! I will get dressed, my nakedness is just provoking you," Amy then stood up to look for her clothes.

Henry stopped her and grabbed her, making her sit on his lap, "Don’t wear anything, it’s a cold night let’s keep each other warm, skin to skin, I will behave."

Amy squinted her eyes at Henry but followed his suggestion anyways since she is so tired to argue with him.

Henry did behave as promised for he can see how exhausted his wife is. He offered his arm as her pillow and she quickly drifted off to sleep.

Henry cherished every moment that they have before Amy left the country since Amy scheduled her book tour the same week so she can finish it and go back to Henry and the kids as soon as possible. He even worked from home just to spend more time with her until Amy took off with Rei, Mitch, and Dave as her security details.

Amy cannot believe the reader’s warm welcome and that they really take time and come and meet her during the tour. It was overwhelming and Amy was emotional every book signing session that Mitch and Rei had to pause the session several times just so that she can compose herself.

"Amy, are you sure you are ok? You have been like this for more than a month now. I think you should see a doctor, a psychologist perhaps, maybe you are starting to have depression or something similar to that," Mitch boldly said since she is already worried about her and Amy is being stubborn.

"You are saying nonsense, Mitch. I am ok, I am just missing Henry and the kids so much. I didn’t know the tour would make me miss them so much. Even if we are video-calling each other every day, it didn’t help. It is just increasing my separation anxiety more," Amy replied.

"But we are really worried about you, especially Rei. We promised Henry we would take care of you. But we are failing at it, you don’t eat much, you are having a hard time sleeping, and you always cry during the tour. It is no longer healthy for you, I suggest you cut the tour already. I will tell Sophia," Mitch worriedly said.

"No need Mitch, just bear with me a little longer. There’s only less than two weeks before we go back home. After that, I will be back to normal once I am with my family again. And besides, I will be busy with our grand wedding so for sure I will be eating and sleeping a lot. Planning a grand wedding will definitely make me hungry and tired all the time," Amy chuckled but Mitch didn’t. She is still worried since Amy lost some weight already and Henry will definitely notice that once they get back since they haven’t told him what is going on with Amy.

Amy saw Mitch was not impressed with what she said, so she pretended to be typing something on her phone instead. She doesn’t want to receive more nagging from her anymore since she is already dizzy with all the traveling that they have been doing all day just to finish all her commitments in the tour and get it over with.

’I miss you my loves. When I come back, we will be officially family at last.’ Amy said inwardly while staring at the picture Mary took during her Mardi Gras-themed party. It’s a picture of them and the children. Henry was carrying Jena while Jayson and Beethoven are by her side. It is a perfect family picture showing how happy they are that day and she planned to have it printed on a large canvas and hang it on the mansion’s entrance hallway for everyone to see.

In the Cromwell Enterprise...

More than a month had passed and Vanessa was able to gain Dimitri’s trust a bit. She is now allowed to go back to work in her own company with her bodyguards with her. She even made an effort to go to San Francisco Petroleum Corp. every now and then to pick up Dimitri so they can go home together.

Her efforts made wonderful results money and freedom wise. Dimitri has paid her company’s debt and is showering her with expensive things, not that her things aren’t luxurious already but adding more wouldn’t hurt too.

"I will leave early today, did you book the restaurant I asked to you book last week?" Vanessa asked her secretary.

"Yes, ma’am, should I pre-order some food for you?"

"No need, I need to ask my husband first what food he prefers to eat. Forward important messages to my phone ok, I’ll leave now," Vanessa said before heading to Dimitri’s office.

She chose a restaurant that is famous for its expensive steaks and wines her goal is to make Dimitri drunk because she doesn’t want him to touch her tonight, which is what he has been doing every night since they got married.

Vanessa intentionally went to Dimitri’s office before work hours ended to make it appear like she is eager to see him. She thought that if only they are of the same age and met him before she met Henry, maybe she would have fallen in love with him. But everything he does to her right now just disgusts her for her heart only belongs to Henry.

Since everyone in San Francisco Petroleum Corp knows her, it is easy for her to go in and out of the building without any fuss even Dimitri’s secretary does not stop her anymore from going directly to his office.

She went in without knocking like she always does but Dimitri was on the phone while looking through the floor-to-ceiling glass window, so she stepped back until she heard Henry’s name.

"Are you sure Henry will be at the site tomorrow?"

She heard Dimitri and slowly stepped out of the room as she hold the door to make sure she can still hear the conversation.

"Alright, just make sure your timing is right. I want him gone this time. We can take care of the wife and uncle later, and make it happen this time, too many failures from your end and this is your last chance. Did you get that? LAST CHANCE! Before I kill you myself!"

Dimitri ended the call but did not go back to his office chair and just kept staring out of the window. 𝚏𝗿𝗲𝐞𝐰𝚎𝕓𝐧𝚘𝘃𝗲𝐥.𝐜𝚘𝕞

"Ehem, ehem..." Dimitri’s head security made his presence known after seeing Vanessa peeking through his boss’ door.

"I-I j-just..." Before Vanessa can utter some alibi, the head of security opens the door making Dimitri look at them.

"Boss, I saw your wife peeking by the door."

Vanessa pursed her lips as she glare at the guy who just busted her.
