CEO's Contract Obsession-Chapter 346: The Mastermind

Henry fumed with anger, he was confused about what was happening. A multitude of questions swirled in his mind, and if the nurse’s claim of three years passing was correct, he couldn’t help but wonder about the whereabouts of his family.

His greatest fear was that something bad had happened to Amy and the children during those three years. It’s a long time and he is sure that Amy is not the one who instructed the men to restrain him to the bed.

He waited patiently for someone to arrive since he knew that it would be a waste of his energy to try to remove the cuffs since he was still weak. It was at that moment when memories of the mastermind behind their plane crash and Amy’s kidnapping flooded his thoughts. He had become increasingly convinced that this person was the one responsible for both the explosion and his current situation.

However, if the intent was truly to kill him, why postpone the act until he wakes up? Henry’s thoughts were filled with worries, yet he found himself with no alternative but to wait for whoever was responsible for this atrocity. 𝚏𝗿𝗲𝐞𝐰𝚎𝕓𝐧𝚘𝘃𝗲𝐥.𝐜𝚘𝕞

Hours dragged on, and the nurse had already served him two meals, so he guessed that it was already evening based on the food that he was served. He refrained from inquiring with the nurse, for he knew that she would either not say anything or she just simply didn’t know the answer.

Henry had already fallen asleep when an unexpected visitor entered, instantly rousing him from his sleep.

"You! I should’ve realized it was you behind all of this! We foolishly dismissed the idea that you could be the mastermind, but we are just so wrong! You are not a dumb blonde at all! You are a devil in disguise! Where’s Amy? Where am I? I swear, you’ll pay for this, you bitch!" Henry yelled with fierce intensity, straining against his restraints in a desperate attempt to get to Vanessa.

Upon hearing Henry’s outburst, Vanessa was overcome with tears. She was heavily pregnant and had almost lost hope that Henry would ever wake up. Yet, here he was, alive and awake, but his anger was directed at her.

"It wasn’t me, Henry, I swear. It was Dimitri. I’m the one who saved you. Please, don’t treat me like this. I love you, and I ensured you received proper care while you were in a coma. Please, Henry, don’t be angry with me. Please, calm down; you’re still recovering," Vanessa implored, slowly inching closer to Henry’s bedside.

"To hell with you, Vanessa! Don’t act innocent when you’re the one who’s kept me here! Three damn years, Vanessa! That’s not saving, that’s abduction! Does my family even know I’m alive?" Henry remained far from calm; her explanations only fueled his anger further.

Vanessa didn’t respond; she simply hung her head and continued to cry.

"I’m demanding an answer, Vanessa. Does my family know I’m still alive?" Henry shouted once again.

"So much noise and drama! Vanessa, control this pet of yours. I was watching football, and all I hear is yelling and screaming," Francis remarked as he walked in through the door.

"And who the hell are you?" Henry growled, his rage so intense that he was certain he could harm the two of them if only he weren’t bound to the bed.

"I am your savior," Francis replied with a bow and a smirk. "I’ll answer your question. Your family believes you’re dead and holds a funeral in your honor. Your wife, or rather, your ex-wife, is now married to her best friend Ash and has completely moved on from you. They even have three children together."

He then seized Vanessa’s arm and pulled her to his side. "So, it’s your call whether you want to deal with this foolish woman here or not. Just let her give birth to my child first, and then she’s all yours. I couldn’t care less about what you do with her."

Vanessa slowly reached out to touch Henry’s arm, but he swiftly evaded her touch. "Just forget Amy, Henry. Let’s go somewhere far. I will hire the best plastic surgeon to fix your face. You can start anew, assume a different identity, and live a new life with me. Amy has moved on, and you know her – she won’t abandon her family for anything. They now have three children, and she wouldn’t leave them just to go back to you."

"FUCK YOU, YOU CRAZY BITCH! GO STRAIGHT TO HELL! I WILL KILL YOU, VANESSA!" Henry’s voice thundered throughout the basement of the Turner mansion. He does not want to accept Vanessa’s words, but the reality just seems so real and true

If what Vanessa and Francis were saying held any truth, he wouldn’t dare destroy Amy’s newfound family. She must have experienced deep sorrow when she believed him to be dead. And all he wants is her happiness. He knew that having children and a loving family brought her joy. If she managed to move on and find happiness during his absence, he wouldn’t want to ruin what she had built with Ash.

Tears flowed from his eyes and when Vanessa saw this she grabbed some tissue to wipe his tears. And without thinking, he harshly spat on Vanessa’s face, leaving her in shock.

"Hahaha!" Francis’ laughter roared in the room, "This is epic! You should have seen your face, Vanessa, it’s a monumental moment. Serves you right for being greedy."

Francis then left the room and banged the door startling Vanessa. She quickly wiped her face and faced Henry.

"Please calm down. I promise to remove those cuffs once you are not angry anymore. Please stop forcing your hands out of the restraints, you will only hurt yourself. I will go and the nurse will take care of you while I am gone. Please eat so you can gain your strength back." Vanessa pushed the button and then the nurse went it.

"Please make sure he gets what he needs and call me tomorrow once the doctor arrives," Vanessa instructed the nurse before leaving.

"DAMNIT VANESSA!!!" Henry could only scream out his frustrations as his tears fell once more. He doesn’t know what will happen to him or if he will ever get out of there.
