CEO's Reborn Wife-Chapter 1530 - 1538: Someone Who Has Been Through It
So, following up with the previous thought, James Black originally wanted to say, "Call me if there’s anything."
Later, he crossed it out and changed it to, "Call me every night after dinner."
The last line was his signature.
— James Black.
After reading it, Jane Sampson carefully folded the note, thought for a moment, then ran barefoot to the cloakroom to retrieve her iron box from that anime suitcase.
Once she placed the note inside, Jane Sampson deliberated for two minutes, finally hugging the iron box and heading straight to James Black’s study.
She just didn’t believe it—if she changed the hiding spot, there was no way James Black could find it again!
After hiding the stuff, Jane Sampson returned Rock Bell’s call.
As soon as Rock Bell picked up, Jane Sampson quickly said, "Sister Tin, I’m so sorry, my mobile phone was on silent mode. I slept until now and didn’t hear your call."
"It’s alright. When I couldn’t reach you, I called James Black instead. He said you were still sleeping. It wasn’t anything major. I was only worried something had happened when you didn’t pick up at first." Rock Bell spoke as she teased Jane Sampson, "Sleeping until this late—did you two indulge in some over-the-top fun until dawn last night?"
"Cough, cough, cough~" Jane Sampson almost choked on her own saliva. "No~ Way~ I was just lazy and love sleeping in."
"No worries. I’ve been there, I get it." Rock Bell openly laughed on the phone, her tone carrying a mischievous flair. After laughing enough, she suddenly said one more thing to Jane Sampson.
"Little Jane, I’ve always thought you’re an exceptionally lucky person, and now it’s proven I wasn’t wrong." She sounded excited. "Little Jane, congratulations—you’ve landed the CH brand’s new annual endorsement! CH has invited you to attend their fashion show as well, and you’re the only artist from our country invited to walk the CH show this year."
"What?" Jane Sampson was utterly stunned. "CH brand?"
"Yes, you heard me right—CH brand." Rock Bell couldn’t help but clap for Jane Sampson. "I received the call at nine o’clock this morning and agreed on your behalf. CH’s official Twitter has already announced it. CH is giving D brand a major slap in the face by choosing you."
That wasn’t even the most exciting part. Rock Bell spoke with growing enthusiasm, "One of CH’s designers really likes you. This year, they’re going to design a national-style, classical outfit inspired by you and present it on the show."
CH’s history is no weaker than D brand. The key difference is CH’s brand value is markedly higher than D’s.
D brand invites two nationals every year to participate in their new product launch walk, but CH brand? To date, the number of artists from our country who have graced CH’s runway can be counted on one hand.
The last time a national artist walked CH’s runway was three years ago—a legendary movie queen who has since semi-retired. For the past three years, no artist from our country had made it onto CH’s runway, but now, the next one is Jane Sampson.
"Why does this all feel so unreal?" Jane Sampson was starting to feel light-headed just hearing it.
"I’m feeling so happy for you!" Rock Bell laughed. "The person in charge of CH contacted me this morning and told me they saw your Twitter post from yesterday and thought you seemed particularly unique. They had already been paying attention to you for some time, but after seeing your Twitter, several of their senior executives discussed it and decided to send you the invitation."
"Hurry up and check Twitter—CH is absolutely one of the most interesting brands." Rock Bell figured there was too much to explain over the phone, so she simply urged Jane Sampson to see for herself on Twitter.
