They only stopped when they slammed into the wall on the opposite end of the main hall.

His body was halfway into the air before the old Daoist Priest changed his palms into claws.

The old Daoist Priest grabbed onto the ankle of Eunuch Xin and slammed him into the ground.

Dust on the ground stirred when Eunuch Xin’s body landed.

Eunuch Xin quickly took out another talisman and it burnt.

Dark glow came out from the talisman that was burning and enveloped his body.

The old Daoist Priest tried to throw a punch at Eunuch Xin’s head but Eunuch Xin disappeared into the dark glow before he could do so.

"Where are you!" The old Daoist Priest glanced around into the surroundings trying to see where Eunuch Xin was.

Dark glow appeared at the door to the left side of the altar and he pointed in the direction.

"Get him!" The old Daoist Priest pointed at the dark glow.

His two disciples, who were back on their feet now, saw the dark glow and they lunged at it with their swords.

Eunuch Xin cursed when the first thing he saw after he appeared again was the tips of their swords coming at him.

A bright glow shot out from the pointed tips and came at his body.

Splatter.

The bright glow hit onto his shoulders and blood splattered into the air.

Eunuch Xin ignored the pain and tried to get to the door.

He reached into his sleeve pocket and hurled more talismans into the air.

This time, the talismans gave out a blue flash and chills could be felt immediately.

Ice engulfed the bodies of the two Daoist Priests that were coming at him and they froze.

The old Daoist Priest gave out a roar and fire engulfed his body.

His figure turned into a shimmer and he destroyed the talismans that were in the air.

One by one the talismans were destroyed.

But when the old Daoist Priest was done, he saw that Eunuch Xin was no longer at the door and he gave out a roar.

Eunuch Xin stepped through the door and the familiar bright flash engulfed him and blinded his eyes.

When the bright flash went away, Eunuch Xin saw that he was standing in a grass plain.

There were however lots of bumps and depressions in the ground.

And not too far away he saw a familiar figure.

It was the Dark Lord trying to get back onto the ground.

The body of Lin Fan was in front of him and dissipated while he did so.

"Hehehehe... Dark Lord, I found this on the other side." Eunuch Xin bowed at the Dark Lord with the key in his hand.

The Dark Lord nodded his head and took the key from Eunuch Xin.

He slowly walked towards the wooden chest with Eunuch Xin by his side.

Eunuch Xin looked on with curiosity when the Dark Lord put the key into the lock and turned it.

The key did its job and unlocked the lock.

The Dark Lord got the lock out from the latch and opened the wooden chest.

Out of nowhere, a gust of wind started blowing in the surroundings, making their robes flap in the air.

Eunuch Xin had to narrow his eyes to see what was inside the wooden chest.

And the Dark Lord reached into the wooden chest with his hands.

When the Dark Lord pulled out his hands, the gust of wind stopped.

The Dark Lord stood up and held up his hands.

In his hands was a red lump of flesh that was throbbing.

It was in a form that looked like some organ but wasn’t anything anyone had seen before.

Eunuch Xin frowned when he saw the Dark Lord open his mouth and bring the lump of flesh closer to it.

He couldn’t help but flinch when he saw the Dark Lord taking a bite out of it.

The lump of flesh wriggled and squirmed as if it was in fear.

But it was in vain.

The Dark Lord continued and when he was done, his mouth was smudged with blood that had spurted out from the lump of flesh.

Eunuch Xin didn’t know what to make of it but there wasn’t time for him to reflect on it.

The ground shook and everything began to crumble.

Even the sky was falling apart.

"Dark Lord, what should we do now?" Eunuch Xin asked while he tried to stay on his feet.

The Dark Lord closed his eyes and stretched out his hands.

Dark glow engulfed his body and extended out towards the surroundings.

It touched everything, even Eunuch Xin, and everything was soon enveloped by it.

Eunuch Xin’s vision turned dark and he lost consciousness after that.

He didn’t know how long he was unconscious before he heard the Dark Lord’s voice again.

Eunuch Xin stirred from his slumber and opened his eyes.

When his vision cleared from being blurry, he sat up and saw that he was back in the mountains next to the lake.

"Dark Lord." He glanced around and saw the Dark Lord.

But the Dark Lord was sitting in lotus position with his eyes closed.

Eunuch Xin quickly got near to the Dark Lord to check on him.

Fortunately, the Dark Lord moved his mouth and spoke, "I need time to digest what I’ve gotten back from the secret realm."

"Hehehe. Yes, Dark Lord. I know what to do for now." Eunuch Xin bowed at the Dark Lord and he sat next to him, ready to protect the Dark Lord if there was any danger.
