Clinging to Devoted Fiancé, Heiress Slays the World!-Chapter 834: You Can Hide It for a While, But Not Forever
Ji Wei waited anxiously, with her palms covered in fine sweat.
Behind the curtain, Shi Ye asked Mo Qian to unbutton his shirt for a thorough examination.
Putting away the examination tools, Shi Ye had a somewhat grave expression.
Since Ji Wei was standing behind the curtain, Shi Ye took the medical record and wrote a sentence on a blank page: "Your health condition is not good. You can’t continue taking that medicine, or it will lead to serious consequences."
He tore off the page and handed it to Mo Qian to read.
Mo Qian lowered his eyes, his expression all hidden in his gaze. He silently finished reading and then took the pen from Shi Ye’s hand and wrote a reply on the paper: "Don’t tell Ji Wei about this, she’ll worry."
Shi Ye paused, stared at his pale face for a moment, then picked up another pen and swiftly wrote: "You can hide it for a while, but not forever."
After Mo Qian finished reading, his expression grew darker, and he silently shook his head.
Shi Ye sighed silently, put the medical record back, and returned the pen to the pocket on the front of his lab coat.
"The examination is done, you can get dressed."
Behind the curtain, Shi Ye’s voice came through, calm and unperturbed.
Soon after, Ji Wei saw him pull back the curtain and walk out, his steps steady as always.
"Doctor Shi, how is Mo Qian’s health?" Ji Wei immediately approached him with concern to ask.
Shi Ye sat down, his hands continuously tapping on the keyboard, spoke with a bland expression: "The situation is optimistic." 𝒇𝓻𝓮𝓮𝙬𝙚𝒃𝒏𝓸𝙫𝒆𝙡.𝓬𝓸𝒎
Ji Wei immediately relaxed upon hearing this.
Shortly after, the diagnostic report was printed out. He walked over, picked it up, and handed it to Ji Wei, "Take a look."
Cerebrovascular disease?
Ji Wei looked at the words on the diagnostic result, blinked in confusion, and looked at Shi Ye.
Mo Qian has this disease?
As if understanding her confusion, Shi Ye took the initiative to explain: "This disease may compress the nerves, so it comes with convulsive symptoms."
"Does this disease require sedatives?" Ji Wei recalled seeing some medicine and asked.
"Generally, it’s not needed. If the condition is severe, taking them can temporarily alleviate the symptoms."
"Is it easy to treat?"
"It’s a common disease, not difficult." Shi Ye finished, sat back in his chair, "I’ll prescribe some medicine for him to take regularly."
Soon, Mo Qian also came out from behind the curtain, already dressed.
After thanking Shi Ye, the two walked out.
However, after just a few steps, Ji Wei suddenly paused and said to Mo Qian: "I think I left my phone in the consulting room, wait for me."
With that, Ji Wei quickly walked back to the consulting room.
Mo Qian stood where he was, watching as she casually closed the door, his deep gaze momentarily halted.
Shi Ye, hearing the commotion, looked up, and saw Ji Wei leaning against the door, looking at him with a serious expression.
"Is there something else?" he asked, puzzled.
Ji Wei walked over and placed the report back in front of Shi Ye on the desk, "This diagnosis on here is fabricated, isn’t it? You’re deceiving me."
Shi Ye didn’t expect Ji Wei to see through their act, a ripple appearing in his otherwise calm eyes.
Seeing Shi Ye silent, Ji Wei continued: "Stop hiding it, tell me the truth, what illness does Mo Qian have?"
Since Shi Ye’s first reaction upon seeing Mo Qian, Ji Wei had become suspicious. His reaction was too calm, as if he already knew Mo Qian was coming.
And the two spent quite some time behind the curtain, yet spoke very little, leaving her feeling something was amiss.
