Chapter 392: Chapter 392: A Clue

Deep in the wilderness, the air was cold as a group of powerful men moved through the forest with terrifying speed.

At the front, the sleek white fox, Rong Ye, was sprinting like a bolt of lightning.

On his back sat Bo Jian. Usually, the Orca merman was calm and silent, but suddenly, his face turned deathly pale.

He let out a sharp gasp and clutched his chest, his fingers digging into his clothes as he leaned forward in agony.

Rong Ye immediately slowed his pace, sensing the distress of his companion. "Bo Jian? What happened? Are you alright?"

Xuan Long, Han Jue, and Hu Yan all came to a sudden halt. Their eyes were sharp and filled with immediate alarm.

In this dangerous world, a sudden pain in the chest usually meant only one thing: their mate was in trouble.

Xuan Long’s face was like ice. He and the others immediately checked the marks on their bodies, searching for any sign of pain or fading light that would mean Su Qinglan was in danger. But after a second, they realized their marks were stable. Su Qinglan was safe.

"It’s not Qinglan," Han Jue muttered, his voice tense.

All eyes turned to Bo Jian. He was breathing heavily, sweat beading on his forehead. "I felt it..." he choked out. "I felt Lan Yue. She was in pain. Very much pain. It was sharp and tearing."

The atmosphere turned frozen. If Lan Yue was in that much pain, something major was happening.

But then, Bo Jian’s expression shifted. The agonizing pain he had felt just moments ago suddenly vanished, replaced by a strange, warm thrumming in his heart.

His eyes widened, and he looked at his hands as if he could see a thread of fate connecting him to something far away.

"The pain is gone," Bo Jian whispered, his voice trembling with shock and pure joy. "I feel it now... a connection. A new bloodline has appeared. My child... my child has been born."

The group was stunned into silence for a heartbeat before realization dawned on them.

"She gave birth?" Han Jue asked, his eyes wide.

Bo Jian nodded firmly. He sat up straighter, his eyes glowing with a newfound intensity.

"She must be in the sea. If she was on land, the birth would never be this smooth. She would have been in constant agony, and the child would never come out."

"It seems they have already taken refuge in a sea tribe," Bo Jian muttered, his eyes shining with new hope and a clue.

The news changed everything. They had been searching blindly, but now they had a direction.

"Go toward the nearest sea," Bo Jian said, his voice no longer weak but full of the authority of an Orca King.

"I am limited on land, but once we reach the water, none will dare to cross me. I can contact many species and the wandering sea tribes. I will find them in an instant."

Xuan Long gave a sharp nod, his jade green eyes flashing. "Then we do not stop. If Lan Yue is there, Qinglan is definitely with her."

With a roar of determination, the group resumed their journey. They did not care about the distance or the fatigue.

Their mate was close, a new life had begun, and the Orca was ready to reclaim his family from the waves. 𝑓𝑟ℯ𝘦𝓌𝘦𝘣𝑛𝑜𝓋𝑒𝓁.𝑐ℴ𝓂

The roar of the crashing waves grew louder as the group finally broke through the dense forest line after a half day of intense running.

The air immediately turned salty, stinging their nostrils, but no one complained. They had finally reached the edge of the great blue expanse.

Before anyone could even coordinate a plan, Bo Jian did not hesitate. He sprinted toward the cliff’s edge and launched himself into the air.

SPLASH!

A massive geyser of seawater erupted, reaching dozens of feet into the air.

The sheer force of the impact sent a wall of water crashing back onto the shore, drenching Rong Ye, Han Jue, and Hu Yan from head to toe.

"What the...!" Rong Ye sputtered, wiping salt water from his eyes and shaking his fur in frustration. He looked out at the water, and his jaw dropped.

"How did that skinny man become such a giant fish?"

The three of them stared in pure shock. They were land beasts through and through; their contact with the sea tribes was almost nonexistent.

In their minds, fish were small things you caught in a stream.

They had no idea they were looking at an Orca, the legendary Killer Whale and the undisputed king of the ocean depths.

They could not believe that a fish could be this huge. If not for the urgency, they would have definitely asked him what he actually ate to grow so big.

Only Xuan Long remained silent. His green eyes narrowed as he watched the dark, powerful shape of Bo Jian gliding through the waves.

As a snake, he was not afraid of the water.

Without a word, he stepped into the surf, his massive body shifting and sliding into the deep blue with a grace that matched the merman.

The ocean seemed to welcome him.

The snake swam forward, circling once before positioning himself near the gigantic Orca.

On the shore, Hu Yan, Han Jue, and Rong Ye exchanged glances.

"So we are the only ones who cannot swim properly," Han Jue muttered dryly.

Bo Jian’s head broke the surface, his blowhole spraying a mist of water into the air. His voice carried over the sound of the tide, sounding deeper and more resonant now that he was in his true element.

"Do not just stand there," Bo Jian commanded, his large dorsal fin cutting through the water like a blade. "Climb on. We will shoot straight for their location. I can feel the bloodline connection clearly now. We are definitely closer to them."

The others looked at each other, still a bit hesitant to step into the vast, churning belly of the ocean. But as they stood in the shallow surf, they also realized something.

On land, Su Qinglan’s scent had been faint, scrambled by the winds and the thick forest.

But here, with the damp sea air and the spiritual resonance of the water, they could actually feel her. It was a faint, warm tugging at their marks, a sign that they were finally, truly, going in the right direction.

"He is right," Hu Yan said, his expression turning sharp. "I can feel her. She is out there."

"Fine," Hu Yan grumbled, though his eyes were bright with anticipation. "I have never ridden a fish before, but if it gets me to my mate, I will ride a sea monster to the end of the world."

One by one, the powerful land beasts climbed onto the broad, slick back of the Orca. Bo Jian waited until they were secure, then let out a low, thrumming vibration that shook the water around them.

"Hold on tight," Bo Jian warned. "We are going to move fast."

With a powerful thrust of his massive tail, the Orca surged forward, cutting through the waves like a black and white arrow.

Behind them, the shore disappeared into a blur as they raced toward the sea tribe, guided by the bond of a father to his son and the desperate love of husbands for their female.
