Chapter 107: Control Law (Unedited)

"Even if we are going to submit, you have to return back our sacred wall," he said, his tone irrefutable, seemingly not welling to back down even an inch in this matter.

Not to mention, the elder despite not being adept at fighting, still had enough strength to asses the situation.

And while the young man in front of him, give a dangerous feeling, he also seemed not to be too strong himself.

A contradictory feeling, yes, but, it should still be manageable... were the elder thoughts, until suddenly a change occurred in the situation.

The arrogant young man in front of him, didn’t make any move, but, someone else came, after all.

And looking at the calm, but unfathomable blue eyes of her... the elder seemed to need to reassess his situation.

He was going to take a step back for now, because at least the new group, didn’t start attacking indiscriminately from the start.

He was going to take a step back, and see the situation, discuss what kind of measure they could take with others... but.

While the elder, had enough patient and awareness to see the bigger picture, the other members behind him didn’t hold the same qualities.

They didn’t seem to understand how dangerous of a person the one that arrived is, and simply hurled themselves at the enemies in front of them.

To not give up, their treasure the sacred wall and try to retrieve it. 𝐟𝚛𝕖𝚎𝕨𝗲𝐛𝚗𝐨𝐯𝐞𝕝.𝐜𝗼𝗺

To defend their land and their home.

Their intentions were noble enough.

But. In front of absolute power?

It turned out to be useless... as Nadine, simple waved her hand.

And Countless small balls of water, the size of bullets appeared around her, before launching on them.

And that’s it.

Every ball of water, penetrated the skull of every native members that directed killing intent at them and tried to act on it.

It was all on their forehead, the action done so neatly.

That the elder, seeing all those who came with him, fall down to the ground motionless, in this simple instant, before he could even yell at them to stop... stood frozen there.

Once again, he seemed to be questioning his reality... and his assessment, if it was fucking correct.

The group thought to be more merciful that the last, turned out to be more merciless when needed too, after all.

The elder stood there still reeling in his shock at the sudden turn of events, before he exhaled slowly.

In the depth of his eyes immense killing intent seemed to be swirling there, but, he simply concealed it there, as he said, "can you give us some time to understand the situation...and give you a reply if we are going to surrender."

’No, you don’t have time, and there’s no choice for you other that submitting in the end...’ was what noel, going to say at first.

But, then, he changed his mind, and said, "Okay, just be quick, and in the mean time, I will tour this place... if anyone, try to stand in my way, their fate will not be any better that those who died now, just so, you know."

The elder clenched his hands at these words, but still nodded respectfully, before walking away.

And left behind on their own, Nadine couldn’t help but open her mouth and say, "Was there really a need to listen o them?"

Nadine expressed her doubt, and Noel smiled as he said, "Well, you know, that there was an apex relic here, and Clarissa took it, right?"

"Yes..." Nadine said, other words still left in her mind like... why did he not take it for himself?

Not knowing them though, Noel, simply continued on his own topic, " Well, it’s simply there should be something even more precious or special than the apex relic, in this dimension."

"So, we are going to search for that."

"As for the natives? I don’t think they will ever cooperate, so, we can do an initial search on our own, and if we still don’t find it, we can hen use other means."

"For now, let them be, no matter what kind of decision they arrive at in the end, that will not change any thing."

Nadine’s expression, didn’t change as she heard Noel’s words, but, internally she couldn’t help but think... what is there more precious than an Apex relic? An Imperial relic? Like the one you got before and turned out to be parasitic one?

Her thoughts couldn’t help but turn negative, even if just for a moment.

"Anyway, what about Hilda?" Noel interrupted Nadine’s thoughts and asked.

"She is staying at the entrance." Nadine replied, before she started explaining.

"With her power, and her being more suitable to battle than protecting and other tasks, we decided that it’s better if she stayed there."

"While I, suited more to support, came to your side, so, she stayed there guarding the dimension from others if they tried to enter, and I came."

Noel nodded at her, thinking that it was better with this arrangement, before, he sat there on the ground and said, "I have some insight into the Laws, as I saw Clarissa subdue the apex relic, so, I’m going to consolidate them."

"When, I’m done, then we are departing."

Noel didn’t wait for the reply, as he immediately closed his eyes after he said what was needed.

He had already been delayed long enough, after all.

And he didn’t want to spend more time, while feeling what he felt about the Control just moments ago, slip away for him.

It was not every time, he can get the chance to see Clarissa use her Law to that extent too.

So, this precious opportunity, he was going to use the best of it!

..........

Control Law... what was it about?

Noel first asked himself, this question, as he entered a concentrated state.

And his answer was like this...

If he were to go by the most simple utilization, then Control Law can simply be telekinesis.

Using it to manipulate items, be it during attacks, defense, or during other times.

Then, if one were to make a step further... then, it could even effect people.

It could start from controlling their physical states, like externally as in their movement, to more deep things... like there emotions.

And if one were to even to go one step further?

Then, it even could also effect the world around the Law user.

From small changes... to enormous ones.

Control Law could do all of that.

Naturally there’s a catch, to make all these changes with the Control Law, then, one had to have a vast amount of Law Power first, and a strong soul second.

He as some one the third rank of the transcendent path for example, can also never control someone on the fourth rank.

Resisting the Control Law when the strength of its user was similar to the opponent, is easy... so, Selena for example, would never use it one people, but more one items, or small changes to her surrounding.

So, the Control Law was famous for its utility.

But, what Clarissa did was not naturally not as simple as that.

Her match, with the Apex relic, was purely a head one battle.

And she showed him, that Control Law... can really control.

This simple, obvious fact... was what she showed him, and Noel was inspired by it.

One doesn’t always need to search for clever ways to use their Laws... when they were strong enough... all these tricks became unnecessary.

One, can simple DOMINATE!

Noel seemed to enter a special state, as he arrived at this point.

And around his body, golden aura, expressing Control Law seemed to appear.

Nadine standing in front of him, guarding him, as he was pretty defenseless at this moment, couldn’t help but marvel at the scene.

Noel... was really still Noel.

That all she could think about.

Time passed like that, and when Noel

Noel immersed himself in that feeling, forgetting time, and when, he finally opened his eyes?

A smile seemed to be itched on his face.

He now, can also express the Control Law outside of his body, after all.

He had also made a huge progress in the Control Law mastery.

Had he not gotten, the memory of the last simulation, that would have been difficult.

But, with memory alone, without this opportunity, he would still have spent a longer time, until he arrived at this point.

Shaking his head, as other business still awaited him.

Noel, turned his attention to Nadine still standing in front of him, in the same place, and asked, "How much time have passed?"

Being inside a dimension... a world shard, understanding the passage of time, was more difficult after all.

So, he couldn’t tell.

"It’s ten hours, congratulations on your progress." Nadine said.

And Noel simply nodded, after thanking her, while thinking that it took more time that he thought, but he didn’t dwell o that, and said, "Well, then let’s start our search."
