Comrade: Almost a Cat-astrophic Love Story-Chapter 6: Damn, I Really Am Good-Looking
The inside of Fu Sichen’s home was simple.
It completely reflected his cold nature.
Pei Zhen used his starving cat body to pry open the refrigerator door.
It was completely empty.
With such a hectic filming schedule, it wasn’t surprising that Fu Sichen didn’t keep food in his refrigerator.
“Ah… why is everything so annoying?” Pei Zhen clutched his head between his paws, feeling frustrated. “I’ve only done good things in my life, but I still ended up becoming a cat! Why?!”
If he had known that things would end up like this, he wouldn’t have jumped out to rescue that cat no matter what!
Pei Zhen landed on all fours after shutting the refrigerator door sullenly. Then, he immediately jumped agilely onto the kitchen counter. Sniffing around, he could only smell cat food.
It was really hopeless.
Swallowing whatever was left of his pride, egotistic superstar Pei Zhen refused to give in to temptation just yet. Nimbly jumping off of the high countertop, he walked towards Fu Sichen’s bedroom.
Fu Sichen’s room was decorated simply, just like the living room had been.
White walls, grey sheets, and a desk that had an Apple laptop on it.
He wasn’t in the mood to make sarcastic comments about how cold Fu Sichen was, so he simply landed on the desk in one clean jump. He wanted to place an order for delivery.
From the time of the accident last night until now, he had been hungry for a little over a day. If he didn’t eat something soon, then he would really feel like life was hopeless.
Although he had found a computer, he didn’t have the password to access it!
“Damn it! Damn it! Damn it!” Pei Zhen couldn’t help but curse under his breath as he struck the keyboard almost fanatically.
Suddenly, the computer unlocked with a ding. Just like that, Pei Zhen had managed to gain access to Fu Sichen’s computer.
Huh?
Huh?!
Pei Zhen frowned slightly as he tried to remember what had just happened. If he wasn’t mistaken, then the password he had randomly entered just now was his birthday.
Fu Sichen, his rival, had set his, Pei Zhen’s, birthday as his computer password!
Even more bizarre, Fu Sichen had used his, Pei Zhen’s, picture as the wallpaper for his home screen!
What kind of strange development was this?
“I really am handsome.” Staring at his own photograph, Pei Zhen forgot his hunger for a moment. He rested his cheeks on his paws and sighed. He couldn’t help but remark, “Damn, I really am good-looking.”
Maybe that was the reason?
His unbelievable good-looks were so powerful that they had even charmed the enemy?
With this thought in mind, everything made sense to Pei Zhen now. Moving his paws a few times, he brought up the food delivery website. He couldn’t help but think to himself, “How did I turn out this perfect?”
Fu Sichen hadn’t logged out of his account. Not caring whether Fu Sichen would find out, Pei Zhen went straight for a seafood restaurant.
Fresh fish, fatty prawns, and fragrant clams… Pei Zhen could already imagine the how delicious the seafood was just by looking at the pictures. Clicking away with his paws, he placed a stack of orders.
Confirm. Pay.
Probably for convenience, Fu Sichen had enabled payment without the need for secured verification. Of course, this worked well for Pei Zhen.
After placing the order, Pei Zhen accessed Weibo. As expected, he was all over the headlines.
“Pei Zhen Car Accident”
Compared to the news that Pei Zhen has seen on the television, the discussion on Weibo was much milder.
None of the horrible rumors like “Runner-up Pei Zhen Disheartened”, or “Pei Zhen is Dead” were trending. The most popular article even gave an accurate account of the situation.
“Pei Zhen had an accident because he was trying to save a cat. What a touching and noble act! All creatures are equal in Pei Zhen’s eyes! From now on, I’m a fan. Let’s learn from Pei Zhen and protect the animals! Let’s pray for Pei Zhen’s speedy recovery. A good person will have good karma!”
Pei Zhen was left speechless.
