Contract Marriage: Abusive Love with Mr.CEO-Chapter 691 - 359: Extra: The Agreement (Part 2)
Christine Quinn turned her head in confusion, her eyes suddenly shooting out a look of disgust.
The service staff was taken aback.
In the next second, the man carrying Christine Quinn’s bag had already grabbed her slender wrist, dragging her away from the security checkpoint.
"Hey... Skyler Jones... what are you crazy about..."
Christine Quinn kept cursing incessantly, struggling to fling her hand away, but in vain, as he held her tightly, only resulting in a painful wrist.
"You’re hurting me, bastard..."
The car door opened, and Skyler Jones opened it directly, then shoved Christine Quinn inside, locked the car door, and then walked over to the driver’s seat and got in.
Christine Quinn tried with all her might to open the car door, but since it was locked, she ended up angrily pounding on the window a few times before glaring fiercely at him, "What are you doing?"
Skyler Jones casually helped Christine Quinn fasten her seatbelt, and then slowly uttered, "What do you mean by checking out?"
"What does it matter to you if I check out or not? If you’re afraid Marie will find out, we can agree on a time to go home together. Now you live your life, I live mine, what’s the big deal?"
Skyler Jones narrowed his eyes mischievously, his interested gaze falling on Christine Quinn’s beautiful, pale, angry face, "I forgot to tell you, the honeymoon suite was booked by our daughter. When she booked it, she already told me that if she misses us, she might want to video chat... What do you think she’d think if one night she calls us for a video chat and neither of us is in the room?"
"Wouldn’t she start imagining things if she found me alone in the room?"
"You could just lie to her that I’m in the shower, then call me on the phone."
Christine Quinn sneered, "Disgusting."
Skyler Jones placed his hand leisurely on the steering wheel and looked at Christine Quinn, "Are you saying I’m disgusting when I shower?"
Christine Quinn retorted irritably, "I’m saying it’s disgusting how you mess around with shady women and still want me to play along with you!!"
Skyler Jones started the engine, smiling as he replied, "I’ve always been entangled with shady women, haven’t I?"
"Skyler Jones!!" His words pierced her heart like a sharp sword, triggering that long-lost intense pain.
Skyler Jones looked at Christine Quinn’s pale face reflected in the windshield, smirking disdainfully, and then stepped on the gas.
Christine Quinn clearly saw the mocking curve at the corner of Skyler Jones’s mouth, just like before, full of ridicule and contempt.
Suddenly, Christine Quinn lost the desire to continue arguing with Skyler Jones...
She took a deep breath and turned her head towards the car window.
Outside the window was the HN coastal highway, very quiet at night.
In the silent car, Skyler Jones noticed Christine Quinn hadn’t spoken for a long time and suddenly asked, "What, mad at me?"
Christine Quinn didn’t respond.
Skyler Jones tugged lightly at the corner of his mouth, "We know each other well, so don’t pretend to be aggrieved. People who don’t know would really think I bullied you."
Christine Quinn turned her face, glaring fiercely at Skyler Jones.
Skyler Jones showed no trace of guilt on his face.
Christine Quinn kept staring at Skyler Jones until her eyes started to sting with burning pain, then she bit her lip lightly, looking out the window again.
You can’t appear weak in front of him, Christine Quinn, you can’t!!
No matter what he says, you have no obligation to explain yourself to him. Those who understand you always will, those who don’t, never will. Your lives are two parallel lines destined never to intersect. You go your way, he goes his. Why should you care how he sees you?
Christine Quinn suddenly said, "My luggage is still at the airport."
Skyler Jones replied, "If there’s nothing important, forget it."
"I’m not as wealthy as you."
Skyler Jones smiled thinly, "I still have money to buy you some clothes."
"I don’t need it."
"Suit yourself."
Skyler Jones and Christine Quinn walked into the hotel one after the other.
It was already past two in the morning, and the hotel was very quiet.
Christine Quinn pressed the elevator button to open the door, only to realize Skyler Jones was still beside her.
She glared at him with annoyance, "What do you want now?"
Skyler Jones looked at the elevator display and flatly said, "Sleep."
Christine Quinn furrowed her brows in displeasure, "Your room isn’t here!!"
The elevator door opened with a "ding," and Skyler Jones pulled Christine Quinn straight into the elevator.
Christine Quinn broke away from him with disgust and continued to glare at him, "What do you actually want to do?"
Skyler Jones casually explained, "Our daughter called me just after midnight saying she couldn’t sleep and wanted to chat with you. I made some excuse to brush her off... I was worried she’d call again in the morning."
Christine Quinn finally made an "oh" sound, realizing why he suddenly found out she had checked out.
It turned out Marie had called to "supervise" the parents, forcing him to be cautious and come looking for her, only to find she had checked out.
Naturally, Christine Quinn didn’t want Marie to notice anything amiss either, so she suggested, "You can book a room next door; if anything happens, I’ll call you."
"I don’t want to be that troublesome."
With an impatient remark, Skyler Jones walked straight out of the elevator.
Using the magnetic key, Skyler Jones opened the door without entering first, instead standing outside monitoring Christine Quinn.
Christine Quinn helplessly walked into the room, seeing the romantic honeymoon suite, only to feel her standing there with Skyler Jones suddenly became awkward.
Skyler Jones, however, seemed unaffected by the honeymoon suite, acting like he was at home sharing a room with her, he did his thing, she did hers.
Christine Quinn, exhausted and menstruating, had a sticky, clammy body and just wanted a shower then sleep, but Skyler Jones went into the bathroom first, leaving her no choice but to lie on the bed and wait for him to finish.
Unexpectedly, Skyler Jones came out of the bathroom after just a few seconds, seeing her lying on the bed. He said softly, "I’ve run the bath for you, you should soak for a while, it will help ease the pain."
Christine Quinn paused for a moment, sitting up, somewhat disbelieving as she looked at him.
"Don’t overthink it, I just don’t want our daughter to scold me for not taking care of you after we get back home."
"Don’t worry, I won’t overthink... Thank you." With that, Christine Quinn stroked her slightly aching abdomen, got up, and walked into the bathroom.
"Uh..." Christine Quinn turned around suddenly, awkwardly telling him, "I... my pajamas are in that suitcase."
