Creating A Succubus Army In A Fantasy World!-Chapter 109: Trial Phase 1! (4)
Chapter 109: Trial Phase 1! (4)
Creed stared at the holographic notification floating in front of him.
Alan Snow.
Who the hell was that?
For someone to defeat a Peak Stage 5 Treeman Chieftain this early into the trial, they had to be a true monster.
That kind of battle power wasn’t just strong; it was borderline genius!
Creed’s mind raced.
The Treeman Chieftains weren’t weaklings. At Peak Stage 5, they were almost touching the Silver Level.
If Alan Snow could take one down alone, that meant his combat power had to be on the verge of Silver Level as well, if not silver level!
And the worst part?
Alan Snow was also his age!
Creed sighed. The world really was unfair.
Could he do the same?
He frowned.
He was also strong; extremely strong. His physical strength, technique, and speed were already far beyond normal Bronze Level Awakened.
But even he wasn’t sure if he could kill a Peak Stage 5 Treeman Chieftain... yet.
The biggest reason?
His Domain.
He had never unleashed it before. He had no idea how much it would boost his power. It could make him unstoppable, but the extent was still unknown.
Until he used it in a real fight, he wouldn’t know. Which meant... he couldn’t risk it.
Not yet.
"Alan Snow?" Amara suddenly spoke, snapping him from his thoughts. "He’s one of the prodigies of the Great Snow Family."
Creed blinked. That made perfect sense. Of course, he was from one of the Great Four Families.
The top families in the world dominated everything. Their resources, training methods, and inheritances were leagues ahead of everyone else.
It was unfair, but it was reality.
Still, even for a top family genius, killing a Peak Stage 5 Treeman Chieftain alone was very good.
He was about to comment when—
DING!
Another notification appeared.
Then another.
And another.
[Gareth Zyke has defeated a Peak Stage 5 Treeman Chieftain!]
[Marshall Goliath has defeated a Peak Stage 5 Treeman Chieftain!]
[Ashley Zyke has defeated a Peak Stage 5 Treeman Chieftain!]
[Lionel Zyke has defeated a Peak Stage 5 Treeman Chieftain!]
[Bryan Griffith has defeated a Peak Stage 5 Treeman Chieftain!]
[Fred Goliath has defeated a Peak Stage 5 Treeman Chieftain!]
[Gav Snow has defeated a Peak Stage 5 Treeman Chieftain!]
Creed’s eye twitched.
What the hell was happening?!
Within the span of five minutes, nearly a dozen names had appeared.
Each one had crushed a Peak Stage 5 Treeman Chieftain and qualified instantly!
And the craziest part?
They were all from the Great Four Families.
The Zyke Family.
The Snow Family.
The Goliath Family.
The Griffith Family.
Creed took a deep breath.
He wasn’t shocked, this was expected. The greatest geniuses would obviously come from the most powerful bloodlines.
But still. This level of dominance was insane.
Then—
DING!
New names popped up.
[Xin Xue has defeated a Peak Stage 5 Treeman Chieftain!]
[Sogbetun Sultan has defeated a Peak Stage 5 Treeman Chieftain!]
[Martinez Cardoz has defeated a Peak Stage 5 Treeman Chieftain!]
Creed’s breath hitched.
Wait.
Those weren’t Great Family names. They were outsiders. And yet, they were just as powerful.
Creed’s mind spun. There were so many monsters here!
How many of them had Silver Level combat power while still being in the Bronze Level?
And just when he thought it couldn’t get crazier...
DING!
A final notification appeared.
[Congratulations! Nicholas Grey has defeated a Stage 2 Silver Level Treeman Ancestor!]
[He has triggered the conditions for automatic qualification and has been removed from the trial.]
Creed froze.
A Stage 2 Silver Level Treeman Ancestor. Not a Peak Stage 5 Chieftain. A full Silver Level Treeman.
Nicholas Grey had fought something even stronger than the rest and he still won!
That meant only one thing. He wasn’t just a genius. He was a hope.
The absolute pinnacle of their generation.
Creed’s fingers tightened into a fist.
A Bronze Level killing a Silver Level? That was ridiculous!
His mind ran a thousand calculations. How strong would he be if he unleashed his Domain? Could he reach that level? Could he defeat a Silver Level enemy?
He didn’t know. And that frustrated him.
"You look shocked," Amara said, her tone teasing.
Creed glanced at her and ignored her.
She smirked. "Now you understand what a true genius looks like, huh?"
Creed’s eye twitched. Did she enjoy mocking him? Instead of answering, he kept walking. There was no point in letting her get under his skin.
The old him would have been reckless.
He would’ve immediately sought out a Peak Stage 5 Chieftain just to prove himself.
But not anymore. Now, he was more cautious.
He didn’t know his full combat power yet. He had too many unknowns. He needed to gather data before making his next move.
Then, a voice echoed in his mind.
"Creed! There are hundreds of Treemen up ahead!"
It was Tierra. Creed’s expression darkened.
Hundreds? This wasn’t just a small hunting party. It was an entire force!
And they were standing right in his path.
Creed froze mid-step.
Without hesitation, he crouched low, his entire body tensed like a coiled spring. His breathing slowed, his heartbeat steadied, and his mind sharpened as if someone had doused his brain in ice water.
If they were caught in the middle of that group of treemen, it would be a bloody battle for survival at the least.
Even for someone like him, even for someone with Amara as backup, facing that many high-stage Treemen head-on was very risky.
And he had no plans on dying today, so he needed a way around them.
Amara, noticing his sudden stop, frowned and whispered, "What’s wrong?"
Creed didn’t look at her. His eyes remained sharp, locked on the direction where the Treemen were located. "We have a problem."
She raised an eyebrow. "Define ’problem.’"
He exhaled. "Tierra just warned me; there’s a Treeman force ahead." He paused. "Not a small patrol. Not a hunting squad. A full army."
Amara’s confident smirk immediately vanished. "How many?"
Creed’s lips pressed into a tight line. "Hundreds."
Her body visibly tensed. "...How strong are they?"
Creed narrowed his eyes. "Tierra and Lilith are scouting, but from what they’ve sensed so far... there are at least two Stage 5 Treemen among them."
Amara took a deep breath. She didn’t panic, but she definitely didn’t look as relaxed anymore.
A Peak Stage 5 Treeman was already at the edge of Silver Level. If there were two of them leading an entire army, then getting caught wouldn’t be pretty.
"We’re not fighting them," Creed said firmly.
"No shit," Amara muttered.
With his summons acting as scouts, Creed slowly changed direction, using their guidance to maneuver around the massive enemy force.
Step by step. Minute by minute. They moved in complete silence, keeping their presence low.
But just as they were starting to breathe easy...
Tierra’s voice suddenly echoed in his mind again.
"Creed! Another group ahead! Hundreds of them! And this time... there are four Stage 5 Treemen leading them!"
Creed’s entire body stiffened.
Four?!
His mind instantly went into overdrive. What kind of insane forest was this?! The difficulty of this trial wasn’t just high; it was completely unreasonable!
Even Amara, who had been calm this whole time, finally lost her composure. "What is this trial? A joke?! This is a Bronze Level test, right?"
Creed had a very funny thought that maybe whoever designed this trial secretly hated young geniuses and wanted them all dead.
That thought became even more serious when Tierra’s voice echoed again.
"Creed... there’s another wave to the west too. Hundreds more."
Creed’s face twitched violently.
"...You’re joking."
"I wish I was."
Creed took a deep breath.
South? Blocked.
North? Blocked.
West? Blocked.
If he turned east, he had no doubt he’d run into another army of wooden freaks.
Slowly... painfully... the truth settled in. He and Amara were surrounded.
Completely.
Amara also realized this, and for the first time since they met, she looked at Creed with genuine seriousness. "We can’t keep dodging."
Creed nodded grimly. "If we keep running in circles, they’ll just box us in completely."
They weren’t being hunted. They were being corralled.
If they waited too long, all the groups would converge and then it wouldn’t be hundreds of Treemen surrounding them.
It would be thousands!
Creed exhaled through his nose. "We need to break through."
Amara nodded in agreement. "But which side?"
Creed quickly ran through the information.
South had two Stage 5 Treemen.
West had four Stage 5 Treemen.
North and East were unknown but just as dangerous.
The answer was clear.
"We charge south," Creed decided.
Amara nodded. "Fewer Stage 5s."
"Exactly," Creed said. "We hit fast and we keep moving. If we slow down, we’re cooked."
Amara sighed heavily. "This is going to be a tough one."
Creed cracked his neck and grinned. "Then let’s wake up."
With a deep breath, they both tensed, and then, they charged.
