Seeing the sudden appearance of a rank 7 beast and three of the four barriers breaking in a very short span of time, all the elders became flustered. Then all of them looked at each other with grim faces and made some kind of decision. After that one of the elders stopped supporting the barrier while the other elders increased their workload.

The newly appeared blood river suddenly started to take the disciples present in the area inside it and as soon as those disciples came in contact with the blood river, their bodies also turned into blood and got mixed into the blood river.

This technique had a huge flaw and it allowed someone with higher cultivation to absorb a person with a lower cultivation to get various boosts. So it looked like currently this elder was doing the same to the disciples present in the area.

One by one, all the disciples started melting and their body slowly turned into blood. Then that blood was unable to withstand the suction force and got absorbed into the large ball of blood. This way, in less then a few minutes, all the disciples present in the battlefield completely disappeared.

Witnessing this whole scene, Li Feng was extremely grateful that he was cautious enough to not be in the battlefield. If he was there then he would have been immune to the blood sucking technique which would have uncovered his secrets. That would have been extremely troublesome. But fortunately Li Feng was not there and had nothing to worry about.

After absorbing all the disciples, the large ball of blood again changed its shape and took on the form of a human. Then the blood transformed into bones, flesh, skin and organs. Just like that, the elder who had turned into the blood river reappeared again.

Before devouring the disciples, he was at the 3rd level of Foundation Establishment Realm. But after the massacre, he had managed to reach the late stage at level 7. So technically now he was at the same realm as the bear demon beast. But with his unstable his realm looked, Li Feng guessed that his late stage cultivation realm was just temporary and after not long, he would fall back to become a mid stage foundation establishment realm cultivator.

So it looked like even with one of them reaching the late stages, they would not be able to protect themselves by just defending non stop. Sooner or later, all the barriers would be broken before the reinforcement could come and by that time all the elders would be without any spiritual energy.

So as now there were no disciples that they needed to protect, they decided to abandon the large scale barrier. Instead, all the elders went to a special building that was located at the centre of this mine and was used as a central hub. That place had an even stronger barrier and the elders use that to buy enough time till the arrival of the Golden Core realm powerhouse.

There were still several hundreds of disciples who had managed to escape from the massacre and were hiding in various parts of the mine. This step immediately put all of them in insane danger but the elders did not care about that at all.

After a few moments since the elders abandoned the large scale barrier, the attack of the bear finally broke through the last one. As soon as that happened, all the other demon beasts immediately entered the mine and started searching for prey with their superior senses.

In no time, several more disciples were killed by the demon beasts. The elders did feel a little bad about not getting the chance to absorb these disciples but as most of the remaining disciples now were mostly at the early stage of Qi gathering relam, they did not really mind this loss too much.

As more and more demon beasts started to roam the mine, some also came near the area where Li Feng was hiding. But as all the demon beasts above the fourth rank were surrounding the building where the elders were hiding, only the weak beasts came toward the location where Li Feng and Yue were hiding.

As all those demon beasts were one major realm below Li Feng so they were unable to resist this technique at all. That was not all.
