Fan Ruyin sighed, could her plans really had failed? If only she’d heard about Li Jain upraising and came earlier. Sigh, so many wasted possibilities.

"Are you serious?" Fan Ruyin looks at Li Jain and asked skeptically.

"Yes." Li Jain answers simply.

"...But Sky Splitting Eagle are more valuable than Sky horse..." Fan Ruyin frowns, unsure whether she should accept or not.

"So?" Li Jain shrugs

"Not only does it have a very powerful flight capabilities, it’s also good at combat!" Fan Ruyin exclaimed

"Then do you want one of them?" Li Jain gives her a blank stare and wait patiently.

Fan Ruyin ponders it for awhile and agrees,

She had nothing to lose, it’s not like she’ll need any more money anyway. Plus, the eagle is strong and can withstand attacks from enemies. There was no harm in letting her use one as an additional strength. It’s just that... she’s well aware of her situation.

"My qualifications are not good. A Sky Splitting Eagle would not want to be raised by me." She admits reluctantly, while fidgeting her feet awkwardly.

Sky Splitting Eagle is a massive eagle with a wide wingspan. It’s feathers resemble layer of blades, the eyes are cold and the beak is hooked. It is a proud and territory beast that won’t allow anyone inferior to ride on it.

"You’re not wrong, with such a poor aptitude, you’re a cultivation waste." Liu Xiong sneered

"Pfft..." Li Zhang’s laugh

"I saw a 5th level Sky Splitting Eagle in the area between Qingyuan Town and Fengwu City. I’ll capture that for you, then you can leave." Li Jain proposes casually, ignoring Liu Xiong increasingly dark face.

Fan Ruyin’s eyes opened wide, her eyes filled with hope and excitement. She couldn’t deny her eagerness; if Li Jain is willing to get such a rare beast that’s hard to come by, she might just be able to expand her connection. Then those so-called noble ladies won’t look down on her anymore!

As for her leaving, it was only temporarily. As long as her children are here, she can still used the same excuse and come back another time.

"What is a fifth level beast doing in this area?" Liu Xiong asked with a frown.

"I have no idea, it could be something that attracted it. There are also level 3 and 4 beasts in the area." Li Jain said nonchalantly.

"For those beasts to suddenly gather here, then a treasure is about to be born.

Li Jain nodded, understanding his words: "A level fifth beast isn’t a challenge for me. I suggest we leave the treasure for now and let the flies come. But what does that have to do with what he just said? His eyes widened suddenly. When you sums it up, all that he just said came down to one word "profit".

Profit, profit. Why else would people risk everything they had just for a bit of profit?

In the framework of Seven Emotions and Six Desires, Profit belongs to the desire of the mind. The craving that is born calculation, comparison and imaginary benefits.

Why do humans go through any length for profits?

A hungry man chase profit to fill the emptiness in his belly. A poor man chase profit to survive poverty. A weak man chase profit to gain strength. A fearful man chase profit in hopes of gaining protection and shelter. A wealthy man chase profit to acquire wealth.

But all of these actions were based on a self interest. Profit was merely a tool to satisfy that hunger. To achieve that goal, profit was used to attain more benefits.

That is why humans would go to any length for profits.

Li Jain understood it all now. As he came to the final conclusion, he felt a heat rising in his sea of consciousness.

The true root of Profit is desire. The feeling of wanting more and more is the cause of all greed. All greed was born from desire.

His spiritual energy became restless as he realized this point. He slow down his breathing and concentrate on the flow of his blood and Qi.

Soon after, the burning sensation dissipated and his spiritual sense expanded. He felt like he had stepped into the world without any obstacles. His heart felt free. Everything looked brighter and clearer than before. At the same time, the qi inside his body began to surge. His qi was flowing and swirling around him. Soon after, a golden colored radiance shot forth from between his brows.

He open his eyes slowly, only to see everyone at the table looking at him in astonishment. He actually broke through two levels and is at the 9th level of Soul Palace know as the peak.

"Congratulations, on your break through." Liu Xiong said with a smile.

"Thank you, Liu Xiong." Li Jain said in return with a sincere face as he bows slightly.

"Is this how you thanked me?" Liu Xiong said with a grin as wink at Li Jain.

Li Jain thought for a moment and lean forward and give Liu Xiong a kiss on the lips lightly.

Some of the children immediately cover their eyes with their hands while others were too shocked to react.

Although Fan Ruyin felt sour in her heart, she wanted to know what happened.

"What did Liu Xiong do to make you undergo breakthrough?" She asked curiously,

"If he hadn’t pointed out my change, I wouldn’t have known that what I just said was within the Desire category of my Seven Emotions and Six Desires cultivation method, Profit. It’s this realization that led to ,y breakthrough of two levels." Li Jain explains

Fan Ruyin still didn’t understand what he meant, after all everyone knows that profit is a desire. She didn’t understand why someone would to cultivate to understand this simple logic. But when she heard him say that he broke through two levels, she was astonished.

"Two levels? How is that possible?"

He didn’t take any pills or eat any spiritual supplements. Yet he broke through two levels just by understanding what Profit means????

She didn’t know whether the world has gone crazy or she has.

"Daddy, what’s your level now?" Li Jingxuan asked.

"What? that means you’ll soon break through into the Divine Power Realm?!!!" Fan Ruyin slammed the table and stood up.
