Chapter 68: Divine Exclusion Mountain’s Information

"Whatever, your life is yours to take care of." Lilith waved her hand lazily.

Then, as if remembering something, she asked. "How are we splitting the loot when we get it? Should we split evenly?"

She proposed it because she knew that if the loot were to be split depending on their own abilities or contributions, Ignis would defo get the most since she alone was stronger than both of them.

"Sure, even split it is." James answered with a chuckle. "Speaking of which — do either of you know where Divine Exclusion Mountain is?"

Lilith knitted her eyebrows. "Divine Exclusion Mountain? Why bring that place up so suddenly?"

James smiled widely, feeling happy that at least he would finally know the location of the place his family had been looking for generations.

"Just curious, that’s all." James waved his hand while maintaining his smile... At least until Lilith said something that shocked him.

Sigh!

"That’s good. Because that place is one of the top three most dangerous forbidden places in the entire world, located in the Southwest Region. So you better not have any idea unless you want to die since there have been many cases where even top experts have never come back after entering that place." Lilith sighed and explained with a little bit of a terrified expression.

’As expected.’ James sighed in his heart.

"Alright, now our turn." Lilith smiled and glanced at the fire dragon, who was playing with a little girl on her back. "Why is someone from the Dragon Race here? We originally suspected it was for the same inheritance, but after hearing you speak, it doesn’t seem to be the case."

"There’s no particular reason." James chuckled and waved his hand casually.

Lilith and Yvonne frowned at the same time, thinking that they had been tricked once again. "What do you mean by that? We told you everything honestly, and yet, you still dare to lie blatantly like this?"

James put his palm on his face and shook his head helplessly, as he had expected this.

"As I told you, there’s literally no particular reason for her to be here. Or maybe you could say she’s here because of me?" James shrugged.

Before they could respond, James chuckled. "If you doubt me, just ask her."

Lilith gritted her teeth and looked at Ignis in annoyance. "Is what he said the truth?"

Ignis tilted her head and snorted. "Hmmph! Of course. What do you take us for? Like you two?"

Lilith’s eyes twitched.

"Anyway, that’s enough for today." James clapped once and looked at the west. "The sun is about to set, let’s go back and have a proper rest."

"Little girl, get down now. We’re returning to Azure Crest Pavilion." James looked at Elara, who was running around excitedly on Ignis’ back.

"What? Already?" Elara stopped and looked at James with a disappointed expression.

Then, she asked pitifully. "Can I play with Sister Ignis for a little bit longer?"

"No!" James shook his head with a firm attitude.

"Tch." Elara clicked her tongue and stomped her foot on Ignis’ back cutely.

Ignis lowered her body to the ground, and when she was about to help Elara get down to the ground, Elara suddenly jumped with a wide arm at James. "Brother, catch me!"

James shook his head helplessly, thinking that this little girl was truly fearless. He directly jumped and caught Elara midair.

Right after he landed on the ground, he flicked Elara’s forehead softly. "Don’t do something dangerous like that again."

Elara only giggled. "Elara knew that you would catch her anyway."

Subsequently, they headed back to Azure Crest Pavilion together, and because James had taken the best suite, Lilith and Yvonne insisted on staying with them for some reason.

Naturally, James disagreed at first, but then, after thinking about the benefit Yvonne had given to them, he agreed to the request since there were four bedrooms anyway.

Just as they stepped onto the tenth floor, a long aisle stretched before them, illuminated by floating droplets of water that emitted a soft blue glow. Each droplet drifted lazily through the air like a tiny, sentient lantern.

At the very end of the aisle stood a pair of giant doors, crafted from polished azurewood. Intricate wave patterns and flowing mana runes covered the surface, shifting subtly as if alive.

The receptionist stepped forward, pressing her hand onto the mana-seal. With a soft resonant clunk sound, the runes lit up, and the doors opened smoothly.

A cool breeze swept past them as the doors opened, and the moment they stepped inside, the suite revealed itself like a hidden noble estate.

The living area was enormous, as it was definitely far larger than an average noble family’s entire living area.

Floating water orbs drifted overhead, glowing softly like suspended stars. Wave-pattern carpets covered the floor, each step releasing faint ripples of light. Elegant couches formed from enchanted waveglass curved gently around a central table shaped like a spiral seashell.

The receptionist led them to the left wing and said. "There are three guest rooms. Each with their own private enchantments."

She then opened the first door. Inside was a spacious bedroom draped in pale blue silks. Soft cooling arrays were carved into the walls, keeping the air refreshing. The bed was large enough for two adults, the mattress glowing faintly with comfort enchantments.

The next two guest rooms were equally luxurious, each decorated with their own style. One with crystal lamps resembling floating lotus petals, and another with a wall of enchanted glass overlooking the city.

Elara hopped inside each room, inspecting the beds with her little legs dangling. "I like this one! Actually... no, this one! Wait—"

James shook his head. "You can choose one, but you will sleep with Ignis or with me in the master bedroom."

"I’ll sleep with Brother James then." Elara giggled as she climbed on James’ body and positioned herself on his back. 𝐟𝕣𝗲𝕖𝕨𝗲𝐛𝗻𝗼𝐯𝗲𝚕.𝗰𝚘𝐦

As the other smiled, looking at the little girl, Yvonne said with a gentle voice. "Elara, do you want to sleep with me? I’ll—"

"No!" Elara shook her head with a serious expression.

"Why?" Yvonne asked disappointedly.

"Mom told me to always sleep with Brother James by her side." Elara replied.

James smiled faintly and continued inspecting the suite as they moved toward the right wing.

"This..." she said with a hint of pride, "is the master suite."

When she opened the door, even James was momentarily stunned.

The master bedroom was massive, easily the size of a banquet hall.

A king-sized mana-bed lay at the center, draped in flowing azure silk and supported by carved pillars shaped like rising waves. A soft breeze blew from an unseen enchantment, causing the curtains to sway gently.

To the side was a balcony with transparent man-made glass, offering a full ocean view.

Elara immediately ran straight toward the bed and threw herself onto it without hesitation. "Brother! It’s so bouncy!"

"I want something like this in my bedroom!" Elara declared.

Every time Elara went out with Cassian, she always requested things that intrigued her. Naturally Cassian would satisfy her demand since they were just trivial things.

"Okay... I’ll ask someone to look for it later." James replied with a smile.

Just as James finished talking with the receptionist to contact the Steelheart Family’s head butler regarding the bed, Elara had already rolled across the giant silk blanket like a happy cat.

Subsequently, the receptionist then guided them to another corner of the suite. "This is the private bath."

A round pool of glowing water could be seen with steam rising gently. The tiles were carved with runes for purification, relaxation, and mild healing that was perfect after a long day of travel.

Then, she opened another door and said, "This is the training chamber, reinforced with water-attribute arrays."

Inside was an empty but spacious chamber, walls lined with layered enchantments capable of absorbing both sword strikes and spells to a certain level.

The receptionist stepped back and bowed. "If you require anything, don’t hesitate to call the staff."

After she left, the entire tenth floor fell into a silence for a moment.

Elara lifted her hands high, spinning in the middle of the living area.

"Brother James! This whole place is ours!"

James shook his head for a moment, then looked at Ignis. "Ignis, you choose one room."

"You two will choose another one." James glanced at Lilith and Yvonne before looking at Guardian Lu. "You will have another room."

"As for you, you can just stay with us—" James smiled faintly at Nyxrael.

The old man cut James off with a chuckle. "Just let him use the other room. Old people like me are not used to sleeping. I’ll just enjoy the ocean scenery from the balcony, as it’s been more than two hundred years since I’ve enjoyed such a scene."

However, Nyxrael directly waved his hand and refused. "There’s no need for that, sir—"

"Whatever, I’m going to stay on the balcony anyway." The old man shrugged and walked toward the balcony.

James’ eyes lit up, as an idea suddenly popped out in his mind. "Then allow me to accompany you for a while, Old Lu."

Guardian Lu ignored him as he sat on a balcony and looked at the ocean with a calm expression.

James smiled and sat down, taking out the wine from Nyxrael before.

"Let’s enjoy the scenery together while drinking to our hearts’ content, Old Lu." James said, taking out two small cups, and poured the wine into one. "Let this junior pour it for you as a small token of respect."

Then, he slides the cup in front of the old man before pouring another one for himself.
