Damned Healer-Chapter 527: Drastic Measures

After the Risen Lord's defeat, Enfield Academy was quickly taken, and the galaxy's inscription reactivated. But even after they managed to reclaim the third galaxy, everyone's work didn't stop.

The Celestial Shadow had already shown it could move its will through the Risen, and that was what destroyed the Academy before. Darian couldn't feel even a bit of safety while any Risen still existed inside the galaxy. So, with the inscription activated and everyone trapped inside, with no chance of calling for reinforcements, they started clearing everything as fast as they could.

Unfortunately, Darian couldn't waste time or risk the enemy doing something, even if he thought it was unlikely.

So he divided the entire army in the most efficient way possible, and they started attacking the planets. Darian and Niara took the higher-level planets, which weren't even 0.01% of all planets.

Because of that, the Merit Points he received were pretty limited, and everything had to be divided among everyone.

A galaxy was something absurdly huge, and a medium-sized one like this had around 300 billion rocky planets. In Earth's universe, where there was almost no life, being rocky didn't mean much. But in universes with some power, pretty much all planets of that type had complex lifeforms.

With the time it took to clear one planet and move to the next, it wasn't going to be fast; but now they didn't need to worry about time in this universe.

Days passed in the blink of an eye. After a little more than three years, they finally finished everything.

Darian moved slowly through the central planet while holding little Alear's hand, who was looking around with bright eyes. She had now completed 4 years of life, but looked like an 8 or 9-year-old compared to a normal human. It was only her physical appearance; mentally, she had a mind compatible with her age.

This was the first time she came to this place, because now it was truly safe. During the years, Darian and everyone else returned to Shadows of Heaven Academy often and spent a month with her, even if that made things take a bit longer. Because of that, she didn't feel big changes, only that she wasn't on Earth.

Under Howlyn's command, several races had moved to this place and were working on building everything.

"My Lord, I finally received the full report." Howlyn said, approaching them and handing a Jade Slip to Darian.

He thanked her and kept showing the place to Alear. There wasn't much to see at the moment, but that would change soon.

During those years, Planet Shadowheart, where the Divine Dragon Academy stood, finally showed signs of life. Thanks to the Dragon Vein, the planet's Gaia was reborn.

In a few years, when Gaia stabilized and fully lived again, Howlyn would be able to use the Life Seed on the planet. That way, natural life would start growing again, not something implanted or forced by some external means.

The Divine Pulse was also working actively. In the place where they wanted a sun to be born, there was already a huge amount of gas and cosmic dust accumulated, forming something close to a massive cloud.

It would still take hundreds of years for the sun to be born 'naturally' but Darian had the power of chaos and his elemental domain, and felt he could speed that up. But he needed to wait a few more years for more accumulation.

In short, since one day on Earth lasted almost a year in this universe, in a short time on the other side, everything would already be ready. This time difference was something good: in a few dozens of years living on Earth, the two reclaimed galaxies would already be completely reborn.

After Alear was satisfied, they returned to the Academy building. Darian took a deep breath and moved all the Merit Power accumulated over the years into his rings at once.

*Crack!*

His six rings trembled and shattered. A few minutes later, a seventh ring appeared, along with a violet aura.

After a short while... everything was done.

"After helping purify the galaxy alongside everyone... I reached 50% of the seven rings. Not bad." Darian murmured pragmatically.

How many galaxies existed in this entire universe? Possibly between 100 and 200 billion. Of course, not all of them were large or had many Risen in them. But it should already be more than enough.

The problem was that the enemies weren't going to sit still while he attacked and reclaimed everything. The galaxies with academies, for example, would start being heavily guarded, with traps prepared for him.

"I need to evolve fast, but without rushing. When the two galaxies are alive again, I'll reclaim another one. That way, everyone will have time to multiply and create new soldiers to fight, making everything faster and more efficient in the next moves."

Darian was being cautious because he knew nothing in his life was ever that easy.

After that, Darian read the Jade Slip he had received. Inside it were detailed reports of all the main events in this universe, inside Celestia Academy, during those thousand years.

As he read... Darian sighed.

They managed to overcome all difficulties because a heroic figure rose and led all the Spiritual Guardians. He made it his main focus to protect ordinary Mannaz, as well as work together with the Academy's leaders to watch over and eliminate the traitors.

In the end, he led everyone in an organized way to keep that galaxy safe, as well as take everyone to that Array, so they could get stronger without compromising anything. His name...

"Vanh..."

Darian didn't know if the Wube family was, in this universe, allied with the Risen Lords. Maybe yes, because of the advantages; but it could also be no, because they were too arrogant to submit to other leaders.

If Vanh had been a traitor in the past but chose to completely change, he'd have a huge advantage in knowing the traitors. Another important point was that he was surrounded by many allies of his family, and all of them had the Spiritual Technique that gave them a massive advantage in fights. But that didn't diminish his merits in any way.

Darian sighed, "...if I hadn't participated in that Tournament and said those things, he would still be a bastard Young Master to this day. So, now I wouldn't hesitate at all to kill him and destroy the entire family."

In the end, he could only lament their fate... or the karma that the family created.

Vanh definitely became a decent person. But Darian would have to destroy that family and kill him one day.

Darian left everything in Howlyn's hands, then gathered with everyone. After that, Niara opened the portal back home.

When they arrived, less than four days had passed. And even in that short time... everyone in the Alliance with less than nine rings leveled up. Some even more than once.

Darian didn't bother trying to hide it; after all, it was impossible. He had to do it and improve himself no matter what.

The news in that universe, that another galaxy had been completely recovered and cleansed, couldn't be hidden. And adding the massive and fast evolution of this army... it'd be obvious what was happening to the enemies.

It didn't take long for the consequences to appear.

Days later, Camille met with Darian, speaking in a tense voice:

"Darian, the Wube family on other planets is growing explosively in resources. This is really suspicious; possibly the enemy Spiritual Sovereigns are acting to favor them. That way, Vanh can move all profits and resources to Earth."

Darian nodded. He had no way to accuse that of being outside interference on Earth. After all, the Wube family had businesses throughout the entire universe; it'd be unfair to demand they couldn't use their profits however they wished.

"They're finally scared of our evolution. And also of our ability to create valuable resources. Everyone who was prevented from buying our stuff at the auction is desperate and pressuring them." Darian said with an expressionless face.

"They'll give the Wube family as much support as they possibly can; that way, they'll have resources to try to pressure us and buy time. Of course, it won't be enough, so they'll start taking more and more drastic measures. Tell Caliris to triple the surveillance and stay alert to even the smallest detail, not only on the powerful planets. There's no way they won't leave traces of their plans. Having information on that is essential."

Camille nodded, took a deep breath, and then left to send the message.

A month later.

A strange report was received by Camille. At the end of the report, Caliris demanded a personal meeting with Darian in a secret place.

She ran to Darian, explaining seriously:

"There's been a big change in the weaker planets of the universe, the ones allied with the enemies. As you know, every year, one or more planets end up receiving the blessing of Heaven's Will. Since there are many planets, sometimes Earth gets it once every generation or two. But... Caliris said that the blessing on those planets was sealed and stored away. They forbade the planets from using it. She said something really big and terrible was about to happen, and she needed to explain in person what she knew."

Darian sighed, instinctively feeling that this was really something he couldn't ignore, or he'd be doomed.
