Damned Healer-Chapter 589: Flawless Cut
Seeing the complete despair in Vahlur's eyes, Darian was certain that the three Spiritual Sovereigns were not going to save them.
Only a few hours had passed since the Rank S mission had officially ended, and, since Darian had covered up all the new immortals, there was no reason for those three to want to attack him so quickly. With so many deaths, it was more than clear that the Wube family was finished; therefore, those three, who were injured, completely abandoned them.
That family was no longer useful, but they had been the most reliable form of surveillance over the missionary they possessed. Because of that, Darian was sure they would do something big soon. However, for people who had lived for so long, months or even a few years were an irrelevant amount of time.
They needed a few years to recover, and they certainly would not endure living with such terrifying pain for much longer. Because of that, they would most likely order an investigation into the Rank S mission while focusing on recovering, only acting afterward.
The power of a Heavenly Annihilation was no joke. The three Spiritual Sovereigns lost a third of their immortal souls and suffered absurd damage.
Technically, Darian could buy quite a lot of time by hiding everything. But instinctively, he felt that if he did not take advantage of that moment of weakness from the three, he would regret it.
Because of that, his plans were carefully laid out, and the first step was finally organizing Earth.
At that moment, Darian waved, taking Tir and Awel out of his inventory. Eleri had been in his hands the entire time, and all the people Darian eliminated had their life energy devoured by her. Now, he has released the three to act on their own.
"Clean up everyone who attacked us," Darian said calmly, and the three shot off like lightning. He had already taken a good look at those people's karma; most of them had ordinary black karma, and there wasn't a single innocent among them.
Lucius and Lucy stopped killing and focused on preventing those in the skies from escaping to the surface and hiding.
Darian, meanwhile, moved alone toward the capital of the New Arcadia Empire, calmly entering the central building. He encountered thousands of Spiritual Guardians with fewer than eight rings along the way, but a single glance was enough to freeze them all in place, not daring to do anything.
Quickly, he reached the Empire's artifact hall and saw the military officers responsible for the entire organization.
They trembled from head to toe when they saw Darian, but they knew that any attempt at resistance would only mean death. So they waited, hoping they wouldn't be killed.
"I'll get straight to the point. Summon all the Spiritual Guardians of the Empire. Everyone returning from the training universe must gather and wait. No one is authorized to do anything else. In thirty days, I will evaluate everyone individually. No one can leave Earth anymore. And those who are currently outside, you have records of them, correct? Send my orders. If they don't return, I guarantee they'll be hunted down until they die."
Darian spoke coldly and stared at those military officers. It took them a few seconds to react, but then they answered in unison, confirming.
After that, Darian moved to the capitals of the other two Empires and repeated exactly the same order. The sealing inscription over Earth prevented any artifact or person from leaving and would remain active for thirty days, completely isolating the planet.
Almost no one from Earth remained outside the planet, since they were considered low-level and unimportant people. The vast majority who weren't there were either on missions or in the training universe; that was why Darian granted thirty days.
When Darian finished everything, the skies of the planet were already silent.
He stopped and saw the twins approaching him, bringing a figure bound by pulsing runes. It was Vahlur who would receive special treatment.
Darian met Lucy's gaze and nodded. Then he moved his black power and invaded that elf's body. Lucy grabbed him and took him away; she would use her technique to remove and record all the memories of that former family leader.
That way, after everything, they would spread the sinister deeds of the Wube family across the entire universe. In addition, there was a chance that the elf possessed useful information about the three Spiritual Sovereigns.
"It's the end… from now on, no human will go through what we went through," Lucius murmured in a melancholic tone, his eyes trembling.
Darian nodded, also feeling a strong surge of emotion, "Humans are complicated. Things probably won't flow perfectly, and we'll have problems, but we'll try to create a fair system."
***
Thirty days passed quickly on Earth.
On that day, Darian and the twins visited all the capitals. Beside them were Camille, Nikolai, and Tian Yu. Darian used his chaos power to completely seal their immortal power.
In the past, all the emperors constantly investigated one another, using spies and all kinds of methods. Because of that, everyone knew the main figures of the other empires, as well as their dirty secrets.
This made things easier for Darian, since he didn't need to comb through each person's karma to look for leftover evidence. With the three of them knowing this information, it meant there was more than enough proof against them.
Thus, Darian listed everyone from the three enemy empires and also observed and pointed out all those whose karma was dense, even when there was no direct evidence against them.
His orders were simple. Either they publicly admitted their crimes and accepted receiving a slave seal created by the Demons Soul Eaters, or they would be executed by Darian.
Obviously, not even a dozen were admitted to anything at first. So Darian started with those that Camille and the others had solid evidence against. One by one, very calmly, he exposed everything they had done and then executed them, without any chance for discussion.
That made everyone feel immense pressure, and even those Darian had no proof against began to believe he had something on them.
Some agreed to negotiate, others didn't, and so they were slowly executed one after another. Obviously, Darian chose those who were completely unforgivable to die first and serve as examples. He had no intention of giving those people any chance to accept a deal.
In the end, nearly two-thirds of those he had no evidence against ended up admitting on their own what they had done.
Because of that, Darian had far less work investigating their pasts, only resorting to Lucy's help in a few specific cases.
In the end, in less than five days, he executed tens of thousands of Spiritual Guardians from Earth, who had once been revered and respected by everyone. He publicly justified every execution, making it clear to the population that he was not simply using his power to do whatever he wanted.
No one could accuse him of being malicious or vindictive, and no one could say punishing those people was wrong after seeing the proof of what they had done.
But that wasn't even 30%; the rest accepted becoming slaves, unable to do absolutely anything on their own for the rest of their lives, much less go against any orders given.
Finally, Darian announced to all common humans the end of the Empires and the new guidelines.
Earth would have only a symbolic division to preserve the culture and lifestyle of each population. There would be six states, with the same names as the former Empires, where Spiritual Guardians with true merit, selected every generation, would be placed in charge.
Also, everyone would now follow the supreme orders of the three Immortals, Camille, Nikolai, and Tian Yu. They knew Earth's population deeply and knew how to deal with it properly, since they had lived a long time as Emperors and were competent, each in their own way.
As for common humans, they would now live under the complete protection of the Spiritual Guardians, with absurdly strict rules if any Spiritual Guardian dared to do anything against them. The entire underworld was to be completely destroyed, and no unauthorized person could maintain contact outside the planet or smuggle artifacts.
To ensure everything worked perfectly, Darian used his contacts with the greatest allied planets and purchased countless Supreme Artifacts for investigation, reading the past, and similar purposes.
This was not constant monitoring of people, since everyone had the right to do whatever they wanted. However, if there was even the slightest hint of something wrong, or if anyone requested an investigation, the authorities were obligated to use all available means.
With those Artifacts, everything would be uncovered within minutes, making it impossible to escape or do anything perfectly without leaving traces.
For the first generation of state rulers on Earth, Darian personally chose six people with grayish karma.
They had the duty to find someone worthy to succeed them and, as a result, would certainly choose someone with karma similar to their own. After all, like attracts like.
They would hardly want someone with sinister karma, no matter how good of an actor they were. Spiritual Guardians possessed extremely sharp senses, capable of feeling fluctuations and people's emotions; it simply wasn't possible to deceive someone for long.
As for the Wube family, after the deaths of all those people, only weak individuals scattered across the universe remained. So Darian asked Caliris to spread the word everywhere that all of them had been eliminated by Darian.
From Vahlur's memories, Lucy extracted countless terrifying things the family had done over the years. This was also spread throughout the entire universe. That way, those who hated them were certain of their crimes, as well as the identities of the main figures involved, who were not from the family.
Lucy worked day and night for over a month, pulling hundreds of pieces of information from that elf's memories. She made sure to expose everything possible.
Thus, Darian was certain that this family would completely disappear in a short time.
After everything was finished, he was executed publicly, bringing it all to an end. 𝒻𝑟ℯℯ𝑤𝑒𝑏𝑛𝘰𝓋𝑒𝓁.𝒸𝑜𝘮
As for their Spiritual Technique, Darian went to the family's center on Earth and read the complete technique. To use it, it was necessary to perform a secret ritual on the person's body and soul, using items that came from other universes.
Any minimal failure would result in death, and none of those who knew how to use the technique had the knowledge to perform it correctly. Only the most important people of the main family knew the details, all to ensure the technique would not leak.
Thus, everyone who possessed that detailed knowledge was already dead.
The family had two main locations: one on Earth and another on Vahlur's home planet, the planet Runedell. Before Darian attacked Runedell, that elf had already emptied everything and brought it to Earth.
Now, with Darian destroying everything there on Earth, the entire Magical Technique would cease to exist forever, since no one else knew how to make someone use it.
That was the best path, because that technique had been created by accident. Heaven's Will could never have imagined that the actions of its wife and daughter in the past would end up raising that family to such a high position in the universe.
With that… Earth, and the entire problem with the Wube family, was finally concluded.
Everyone who had supported Darian from the beginning could hardly believe it. This place, which had been a boiling and chaotic pot, now… without any great war or suffering for common people, was completely transformed by Darian.
It was a flawless cut. No blood, no ruin—just the deep-seated cancer torn out and the planet purified in an instant.
After two months, everything was already perfectly organized. It was at that moment that Caliris sent an urgent call to Darian.
