Damned Healer-Chapter 594: Sovereign’s Blood
"AAAAAAAHH!"
"HELP!!!"
Panicked screams rang out, but they were brutally cut off, without a shred of mercy.
Darian just watched calmly. Even if there were people fooled by the slander against him, ignorance and innocence were not the same thing. Everyone had eyes to see and a brain to think.
It didn't take much. Just looking a bit more neutrally at the 'evidence' and clues used to accuse Darian was enough to realize it was all baseless.
But those who were used to being important figures wouldn't dare go against the superiors who spread those lies, nor risk losing their status. So, they didn't even bother to search for the truth.
And so, they came to attack his home. If Darian hadn't had the strength to fight back, both his life and the lives of his loved ones — and even the fate of all humanity — would have been doomed.
So there was no karma involved; it was just justified self-defense. He had to make sure no one was left alive, to avoid future problems and intimidate others.
Those with nine rings didn't stand the slightest chance against immortal power. They were like ants being crushed at terrifying speed; any casual movement infused with immortal power killed hundreds.
Two minutes later...
...everything was over.
No one could ever have dreamed of a result like that. Millions of figures who had once been unquestionably the most powerful beings in the universe ceased to exist forever.
Meanwhile, kilometers away—
"Fall back!"
Niara shouted, and the entire army of Heavenly Elemental Spirits retreated back into the spatial channel, returning to the universe they came from.
At the same time, Lucius appeared quickly beside Darian, supporting Nayara by the arm.
Both were completely exhausted and had burned through all of their strength.
It had been less than three minutes, and only a dozen full-power strikes channeled through their weapons. But it was enough.
"Good work. Go back, Veyle must be worried," Darian murmured, and Lucius nodded before retreating back to Earth.
Veyle had obviously stayed on the planet. She wasn't specialized in combat and, being pregnant, it was better for her to stay safe and support in other ways.
Everything fell silent.
Niara stopped beside Darian. As for the three Spiritual Sovereigns, they finally managed to return to the vicinity of Earth.
Their expressions were dark and twisted as they saw and felt all the death around them.
"Great, just great..." Reignar spat those words slowly, filled with hatred.
He had never felt so humiliated or so eager to kill. Those people from his planet were, for the most part, his descendants. Having lived for so long, even without any sense of kindness or morality, he still regarded them as his property, a part of himself. No one was allowed to touch what was his. So Darian killing so many was like a blatant slap across his face.
Caliris, Aurix, and Painita, along with all the Immortal Keepers, simply watched everything unfold before their eyes.
Their gazes focused on Darian. None of them understood what he was planning. The true battle had only been postponed, and for some reason, Darian had prioritized wiping out those Spiritual Guardians first.
"FORMATION!" Lucy roared.
The immortal army moved into a massive battle formation. Lucy stood at the center and, at that moment, took out two objects and closed her eyes.
One looked like a pearl the size of a head, completely black. The other was a multicolored scale as large as a great shield.
Both objects floated around her. Then—
**BUZZ!**
They began to tremble and pulse with two opposing lights. The entire immortal army started to change; a demonic and primordial glow and aura covered them as their energies mixed together.
Suddenly, everything changed to something terrifying. Their eyes turned scarlet, and a wild, bestial pressure surrounded them.
The eyes of the three enemy Spiritual Sovereigns changed.
The immortal power within everyone in that army, which had barely reached five percent stability before, began to grow increasingly stable.
What Lucy used were the Devil Pearl and the central scale containing the full power of a Primordial Beast; both were obtained in that other universe during the Convention.
Lucy used those two items as the cores of a new inscription. The idea came from what Vanh had done before, forcing his power to stabilize by contaminating it with something extremely powerful from the outside.
She worked on it as much as she could and, with those two treasures Darian had obtained, created a prototype of an incredible immortal inscription. Something capable of helping the entire army stabilize a bit more for a short period of time. Obviously, that wasn't its only effect, and it was still far from perfect.
In fact, it could barely even be called an inscription. It was almost suicidal.
Lucy was hardworking and smart, but like Veyle, she never had a true master. So she had to explore and learn everything on her own. Because of that, the inscription could only be used in a brute-force way, and there was a huge risk of everyone suffering a backlash and getting injured.
Darian trusted that she could at least pull off the minimum, so he could act according to his plans.
Within seconds, the Immortal Keepers nearly had their jaws drop. That was because more than four thousand ordinary immortals reached over fifteen percent stability.
Lucy opened her eyes.
Darian took a deep breath, gripping two daggers.
Seeing that, all of his allies changed.
Niara snorted, and her entire body lit up as Divine Dragon Possession was activated at full power.
Beleth and the Immortal Keepers also focused. They would only attack the moment Darian gave the order.
Painita, Aurix, and Caliris activated their immortal powers, fully aware that it was now or never.
Even with those three enemies only able to use thirty percent of their strength, their abilities were terrifying, and they still had many frightening hidden cards.
Aurix was certain that those three were hiding a lot. In other words, in a direct three-versus-three clash, there wasn't much hope of victory.
But now, thanks to Darian, everything could be different.
"DIE!"
Guren and Haekla roared in fury and attacked with everything they had.
*Whoooooosh!*
A wild light and a terrifying wave of power spread in all directions. It was as if a red sun and a black sun had appeared, then surged forward toward Earth.
Darian smiled inwardly. That was because Reignar was focused solely on him, ignoring everything else.
That was all he needed.
Lucy commanded with a wave of her hand.
"KILL!"
Everyone in the army roared in unison, and the inscription linked everyone's power into one.
Those thousands of immortals attacked at the same time with their weapons. Runes appeared around each member, pulsing. A powerful wave advanced, and midway through, everything converged perfectly, as if it were a single movement.
A gigantic cross split the void, crossing the distance in an instant.
Guren and Haekla didn't care and advanced together.
**KBOOOM!**
A massive explosion shook the cosmic battlefield, and a blinding light burst forth like fireworks. It was as if a star had just exploded. It was terrifying, yet at the same time beautiful and dazzling.
The void trembled. Everyone in the army felt as if they'd been hit by a giant hammer, coughing up blood as they were flung backward.
No matter how many thousands were using 15%, against just two using 30%, it couldn't be compared.
That was because those two had devoured the Immortal Chaos Essence of an entire universe. In the power hierarchy, they were like falcons: natural predators, specialized in hunting and killing. In contrast, ordinary immortals were nothing more than vultures.
Although both had similar sizes and flew under the same skies, the difference was like the abyss between heaven and earth. While vultures had weak claws meant only for scraps and carrion, falcons wielded natural weapons forged for combat.
In other words, in the hands of those two, the same immortal power became dozens of times more efficient and lethal. What was mere survival for others was absolute dominance for them.
With the immense roar, massive demonic power from the Devil Pearl and primordial power from that scale erupted in all directions, mixing with the surrounding space. There was so much energy that the environment across a vast region of the void began to resemble a planet's atmosphere.
Guren and Haekla were blocked and retreated only a few meters. The immortal army, on the other hand, was thrown backward, suffering severe injuries.
Before the two could roar and attack again...
They noticed that Reignar, who had been focused on Darian the entire time, had a tense expression.
The reason for that...
Darian vanished.
Then...
Completely outside their perception, behind them—
Darian and Niara appeared, fully shrouded in the primordial power filling the environment.
Darian took advantage of the chaos and the space saturated with primordial power and, with Niara's help, vanished and launched a second sneak attack.
The wind lashed his clothes and hair. His aura was calm, so calm it was almost impossible to sense. It was completely different from his wife's, which felt fierce and explosive.
The two were like Yin and Yang, yet they had perfect synchronization and connection. They were like a single person, and instead of simply adding their powers together, their strengths multiplied.
With a synchronized movement, Niara and Darian attacked with everything.
Their power erupted like a volcano.
Space trembled as if it were about to be torn apart by a hurricane.
That strike made Reignar feel a bit of pressure. It wasn't fear—he would never die to those two. But his body might be seriously injured, so he roared and blocked.
At the same time, Aurix, Caliris, and Painita attacked Guren and Haekla.
It was a synchronized move by two groups.
The two attacks, on two different fronts, were about to collide, but—
Emerging from the void—
A pair of blue eyes opened behind Guren and Haekla.
"!"
At that instant, the new seventh Spiritual Sovereign finally appeared in the world, catching those two completely off guard.
It was four full Spiritual Sovereigns against two, and there was already a massive gap in power and severe limitations on those two.
As a result—
**BOOM!**
Darian and Niara were violently hurled through the void, both covered in blood and seriously injured. But thanks to their supreme physiques, they managed to endure the blow.
But on the other side...
A rain of immortal blood spilled in all directions.
That Harrier, which had the frailest physique...
...exploded, her body was completely devastated.
