"This is the Stellar Cloud Inscription, created and left behind by the city's first Lord, who died sealing away the terrifying Nether Beast of the past. Even though he's been dead for a long time, his power is still active and eternally sustained."

A voice sounded not far from them. The group turned and saw a woman with an icy face approaching.

"Miss Sae— oh, sorry, you're not her." Ramel waved hastily, but quickly realized he had mistaken her for someone else.

This woman looked extremely similar to Saelil, especially in her cold expression and tone. However, she was much younger and had simpler, softer, feminine features.

"I'm Maeyu, Saelil's younger sister. Are you the six people my older sister personally invited?"

She looked Darian and the others up and down, slightly frowning. She clearly didn't seem very friendly.

At first, Ramel was about to greet her politely, but her attitude made him feel looked down on. He replied indifferently, "Miss Saelil personally invited us. Do you have a problem with that?"

Noticing the girl's contempt, Niara felt somewhat irritated. Still, despite liking to stir trouble, she knew the woman was just young and foolish, so she restrained herself.

"No. I was just wondering what kind of people deserve an invitation from my sister. She asked me to take care of you. Come with me," Maeyu replied calmly.

The greatest genius of the clan had asked Maeyu to look after them, which made her believe they were extraordinary figures. However, after seeing them in person, she felt disappointed.

Darian and Niara showed no fluctuations in cultivation at all; they only gave off intense physical pressure, like demonic beasts that didn't know how to cultivate but could still fight a bit.

As for Ailik and Ramel, in her eyes, they were members of weak races, for whom reaching the Heaven Saint Realm would already be the greatest achievement of their lives.

The six of them looked almost laughably weak, and Maeyu's innate coldness flowed out naturally… yes, it was a contempt she couldn't control.

While Maeyu led them forward, Niara let out a heavy sigh, clearly filled with irritation.

Maeyu's expression darkened. She turned around, ready to scold them for their lack of gratitude, but before she could open her mouth, Darian looked her straight in the eyes, making her freeze.

"Don't test my patience. It was your older sister who invited us. If you accept that, then hurry up and do your job. If you don't, then get lost. We came to watch a fight, not to put up with your attitude."

Darian stepped in because he knew Niara wouldn't hold back if this woman kept talking.

"You…!" Maeyu was furious. However, when she met Darian's eyes, her soul suddenly trembled. A strong sense of danger wrapped around her, forcing her to fall silent.

Darian sighed and continued, "We accepted your older sister's favor. But you shouldn't look down on people, or something good might turn into something bad. We're not asking to be treated with special respect. Just try not to talk too much, or you might not be able to take it back later. I don't want any unnecessary conflict here."

Darian's tone was calm, backed by a confidence only those who had lived a long time could possess.

Only then did Maeyu realize she might have been mistaken. That seemingly ordinary human was like a tiger hidden deep in a dark cave, concealing his true form. The realization left her feeling suffocated.

Still, her pride wouldn't let her lower her head. She merely snorted without replying, turned around, and continued forward.

The six followed her in silence as Maeyu guided them through the arena until they stopped in front of a door.

Maeyu pressed her tablet against a platform beside the entrance. Everyone saw that it was a silver tablet. In other words, she had killed a Nether Beast above the midpoint of the Heaven Saint Realm on her own. No wonder she was so arrogant.

Everyone followed suit, placing their tablets at the entrance before going in.

When Maeyu saw Ramel's golden tablet, despite trying to maintain her composure, she couldn't hide her shock. Only then did she understand why someone as powerful as her sister had invited them. Two of them were really pretending to be pigs to eat a tiger.

Her attitude clearly changed compared to before, and she no longer acted as if they owed her anything. That was, perhaps, one of the unwritten rules of any universe ruled by power: respect was earned through strength.

As soon as they passed through the door, they were greeted by a massive martial stage at the center of the arena, completely covered in runes. A heavy Void aura radiated from it, along with a dense killing intent.

Unexpectedly, Maeyu pointed at the martial stage and said, "This stage is made from the bones of Nether Beasts. It's incredibly durable, and they say not even a thousand people at the peak of the Heaven Saint Realm, together, could cause the slightest damage."

Ailik was stunned. "Bones of Nether Beasts?!"

"Where do you think all the Nether Beast corpses everyone hands over to the city end up?" Maeyu shot back, chin raised.

Darian carefully observed the peculiar martial stage. The bricks and pillars looked like they were made of bone, but they were covered in runes from an inscription that made them indistinguishable to the naked eye.

"What's this? Bumpkins? You really haven't seen much of the world, huh?" a voice full of disdain interrupted from behind them.

Hearing that, everyone turned around and saw three young people dressed in violet robes similar to Maeyu's.

There were two men and one woman. All three were young, good-looking humans. However, the overwhelming arrogance reflected in their eyes tarnished their appearances.

"Padir, don't be rude!" Maeyu scolded sharply when she noticed the icy look in Niara's eyes.

These people from her clan, just like her, had misjudged that group. Unfortunately, they didn't know that Ramel possessed a golden tablet, something that alone was enough to inspire respect and awe.

"Lady Maeyu, what's going on? Lady Saelil invited these six to watch her fight? Isn't that… a waste?" Padir asked. "Why would she give such important seats to outsiders? Many people from our own family couldn't even watch her battle."

Each participant could invite ten people to watch their battle from premium seats, which were extremely coveted and not available for purchase. Giving up those precious spots to outsiders naturally left many people dissatisfied.

The woman in the group couldn't help but comment, "The clan Elders will definitely scold the eldest sister when they find out about this."

Padir looked at Darian and the others and said flatly, "If you're smart, you'll leave immediately—"

"YOU!" Maeyu shouted, cutting him off furiously.

However, the other man sneered. "These people aren't idiots. They should know their place—"

*Slap!*

Suddenly, a loud slap landed on that man's face, completely catching him off guard. He could do nothing but endure it, blood spilling from his mouth.

"Maeyu! You—" The woman was shocked and furious, not expecting Maeyu to be so forceful.

"Damn it! This was my older sister's decision. Even if the Elders criticize her for it, that's still her business. She doesn't need your opinions. In any case, shut up, and don't force me to kick you out of here, got it?" Maeyu ordered sternly.

Maeyu understood that her older sister must have had her reasons for inviting them. That was why she wanted to clear things up with these people before they did something irreversible.

If Darian and the others got angry and left because of them, Saelil would definitely blame Maeyu and the rest. Then everyone would be in trouble.

Niara was on the verge of beating them up. However, Maeyu's slap made her stop, and she even felt a bit satisfied.

Seeing that they were too intimidated to say anything else, Maeyu turned to Darian's group and explained, "These are some immature disciples from my clan. They've always been under the Elders' protection, so they became arrogant despite their lack of ability. I'm sorry you had to witness this."

Maeyu's face suddenly turned icy, and she shouted, "Padir, you're responsible for the two of them. Come and apologize!"

Padir was stunned. Gritting his teeth, he didn't say a word. In his eyes, people of his clan could not lower themselves like that in front of weaklings.

"You!" Maeyu raised her hand once again.

Seeing that she was about to strike, Padir didn't dare dodge, clearly overwhelmed by fear.

"That's enough," Darian said. No one there was foolish; it was obvious she had only raised her hand and had no intention of actually hitting him. It was just a show.

"I'll say this once. You're not obligated to treat us kindly, but I expect you not to say anything so unpleasant again. My temper isn't very good… but my wife's is much worse, and I won't protect you from her. I really don't want things to reach a point of no return. That would be very regrettable."

The three snorted, as if they had heard something ridiculous. But they didn't say anything.

"Everyone, please take your seats. The battle will begin soon," Maeyu said hurriedly.

Only then did everyone sit down in the front seats. There were thousands of seats there, but at that moment, they were still empty.

When Darian and the others sat down, another group of ten people appeared on the opposite side.

One of them suddenly stood up and made a gesture as if cutting the throats of Maeyu and the others.

She and the rest of her clan were boiling with rage, but before they could react, that person suddenly smiled sinisterly at Darian. Then his gaze swept over Niara with a strange glint.

Seeing this, Niara grabbed Darian's arm and burst out laughing. "This guy really wants to die in a spectacular way."
