Darian and his group left the royal castle and were greeted by members of the Wood Spirit Race at the entrance. The sight moved them, but also made them feel a bit awkward. The group followed them back to the race's territory to rest.

Sylvanos still hadn't come to see them, as he was in seclusion. However, he left word that he would come out soon.

Three days later, Alaric arrived at the Wood Spirits' territory. The moment he saw Darian and Niara, he couldn't contain his excitement and exclaimed, "It's done!"

That day, Alaric looked ten years younger, which surprised everyone. No one knew exactly what had happened to him, but the atmosphere around him had completely changed.

Noticing his excitement, Niara couldn't resist teasing him. "You're glowing."

"Hahaha, let me give you some good news… I officially have descendants now," Alaric replied enthusiastically.

"What? That fast?" Faced with the shocking revelation, Ailik couldn't help but widen her eyes.

Veyle's pills were of a terrifying quality, due to the materials used, making them a truly unique existence in this universe.

After taking the pill, Alaric felt a wave of unknown energy surge through his body. Without hesitation, he took his wife away, as he could already clearly feel the effects of the substance.

Because infertility issues had persisted for several generations, all the major powers in the city had established various time inscriptions to assist couples.

In exchange for vast amounts of resources, these inscriptions had methods capable of manipulating the flow of time. This allowed them to calculate the ideal periods for conception and create perfect conditions for pregnancy.

Three days passed in the outside world, but for Alaric and his wife, it was a full month inside the special chamber. In just one month, his wife was already pregnant.

After saying this, Alaric was so moved that he almost cried. The couple finally no longer felt like sinners of the family, as their Bloodline would certainly continue.

The entire family was deeply grateful. Alaric himself didn't know how he could ever repay such a significant favor. As soon as he came out of seclusion, he went to share the good news with Darian and the group.

Of course, this matter was still top secret, so he couldn't tell anyone besides them.

"Congratulations!"

Ramel and the others were happy, deeply touched by the contagious joy radiating from Alaric's blissful expression.

"Oh, right, the Sacred Treasure sent a message. The Golden Sky Mountain will open in two years, so prepare yourselves. When the time comes, many important figures will flock to the city. Unfortunately, I won't be able to protect you inside. Besides the inherent dangers of the place, there will be many monstrous geniuses from the Primordial Empire competing for its treasures. In fact, Primordial Chosen may appear this time," Alaric warned, his expression serious.

"What are the Primordial Chosen?" Darian asked, hearing about this for the first time.

Alaric explained, "They are the princes and princesses of the Primordial Empire's Royal Family. Just like in this city, the Emperor possesses one of the four Sacred Treasures. This one, in particular, has the ability to manipulate the laws of the universe in his favor."

"In short, the Sacred Treasure can mark a person, blessing them with the laws of the universe. It's as if they're protected by heaven and earth. Their luck is extraordinary, and treasures seem to gravitate toward them. Danger can even turn into a blessing. On top of that, the power they wield is even more terrifying, allowing them to defeat figures several levels above their realm. Even I can't defeat one at the ninth level of the Heaven Saint Realm, despite being an entire realm above."

A Primordial Chosen was an absurd cheat the Emperor had at his disposal. However, he could only create at most three per generation, and it cost an enormous amount of resources.

Even with such terrifying figures at his command, he still couldn't act arrogantly in front of the City's Sacred Treasure. The City Lord could completely seal these people, as if locking them in an eternal spatial prison. Having great power didn't mean much in that situation.

Alaric knew that Darian and Niara were incredibly powerful, but facing a Primordial Chosen was no trivial matter. That was why he couldn't help but warn them seriously, "Although legends are always exaggerated, they can't be ignored. Being cautious is never wrong."

"Don't worry. We'll be careful," Niara said, wearing a wide smile.

Neither Alaric nor anyone else in the group could believe her. Caution and discretion weren't exactly qualities that she and Darian possessed, no matter where they were.

"Since you came all this way, why don't we celebrate the fact that you'll have a descendant now? This deserves a grand banquet!" Niara proposed excitedly.

Alaric replied awkwardly, "I can't… not for the next few days. I… still have some other matters to take care of."

Noticing his embarrassment, Ramel and Ailik raised an eyebrow. Why was he reacting like that?

Alaric's face turned slightly red. With an even heavier expression, he explained, "My wife said it was a rare opportunity. She made me spend a lot of resources on the inscription… and she wants us to put in a bit more effort…"

Darian and Niara nodded. Although neither of them had ever experienced that kind of urgency before, they could understand it.

The effect of the pills, if properly controlled so they didn't disperse too quickly, could stay in the body for a few months.

After the sudden success of conceiving children after so many years of infertility, his wife would definitely stay inside the inscription, with time flowing at an accelerated rate. In just a few days, for her, an entire year would have passed, and the child would already be born. That way, they could take the chance to have more.

The pill's effect on her would disperse after that period, but Alaric, who was the one most affected by the curse, stayed outside. That way, he could preserve the effect on himself for a bit longer.

Alaric said his goodbyes and left in a hurry. After that, Darian, Niara, and the group stayed peacefully within the territory of the Wood Spirit Race.

They needed to wait two years, so they used that time to prepare Ramel and Ailik for the plan.

Ailik needed to use the Sacred Treasure that manipulated the Void to its limit to nullify what was inside the sealed corpse. After that, Ramel would have to use all the power of his race to guard the body.

The name Heaven-Devouring Sparrow matched the basic power of the race. They had control over absolute space, and inside their bodies existed a small world, like a gigantic stomach.

They could devour anything, regardless of size, and seal it inside that small world. It was like having a spatial ring inside themselves, but one capable of storing even living beings and killing them slowly if they wished.

Beyond this basic power, the Heaven-Devouring Sparrows possessed the race's core technique, created by Roc himself in the past. This technique worked like the summoning of spatial chains, capable of piercing space or binding a target.

It was created so they could pursue and capture prey more easily, allowing them to swallow it. However, with that same technique, it was also possible to pierce an entrance into the Golden Sky Mountain and enter the place.

Ramel had done this a year ago. At that time, he still believed he could cultivate and become powerful enough to take revenge.

Opening the entrance cost him an enormous amount of energy. And upon entering the place, he discovered that everything was engulfed by a terrifyingly aggressive Void power. He couldn't stay for long and ended up fleeing.

Now, Darian's plan was simple and straightforward. Still, both of them needed absolute control and maximum safety for it to work.

The days passed calmly.

Alaric worked hard, and his wife had four children across three different pregnancies.

Because of that, Darian asked him to help look for any news about Alear. She wasn't someone who would go unnoticed, so it was possible that exaggerated clues or rumors existed somewhere.

Unfortunately, Alaric couldn't find anything encouraging. Not a single word about a terrifyingly powerful woman who caused trouble showed up.

Niara was a bit disappointed. Her adopted daughter should be causing chaos and turning everything upside down wherever she went. Even if she didn't seek that out, as a young and very eye-catching woman, men wouldn't leave her alone, and she would end up beating them to death. So trouble should always arise. Yet, how was there no news at all?

Darian could only accept the silence and wait until he obtained this universe's book to find her.

As time went on, the City Lord announced that the Golden Sky Mountain would open earlier. With that, the entire universe was thrown into an uproar.

The city grew more and more crowded with each passing day. Figures from every direction flowed in, their numbers constantly increasing. With the nonstop arrival of newcomers, even the vast City began to feel packed.

That happened because anyone could pay an absurd amount and receive permission to enter on the day of the opening. For the city, this was advantageous because for every three people who entered, one managed to return alive. And for every hundred thousand who came back alive, one managed to bring back some kind of treasure.

So they weren't losing many treasures. And the amount they earned from everyone paying was absurd and guaranteed.

During this period, Niara and Darian built a simple house on the mountain of the Wood Spirits and began living there peacefully. Tir, Eleri, and Awel roamed freely in the area and helped the race with everything they could.

Free time couldn't be wasted. Darian spent half the day studying all of the universe's memories. In the other half, he had to give attention to Niara, who at that point was no longer satisfied with just walks and meals by his side.

Darian was forced to learn how to use his spiritual root more efficiently, so he could perfectly seal the space around the house, creating a small bubble. That way, no one could see, hear, or sense anything that happened inside it.

After one year, Sylvanos finally came out of isolation.

He ran straight to Darian, wearing a resolute expression.

"Sir Darian, everything is ready. Please, come with me."

"What is ready?" Darian couldn't help but ask.

Sylvanos took a deep breath. "You were blessed with the inheritance of the God Roc. However, that was only part of the inheritance. My race holds the second part. But we were only authorized to deliver it to someone who proves capable of changing the entire universe. That has never happened before, but at last, the day has come."
