Damned Healer-Chapter 676: Beginning Of Rebirth
Darian was sitting calmly on that small patch of black land. In front of him, the spatial rift trembled, and then Niara quickly emerged from within it.
She had an excited smile on her face. Her mission had been completed perfectly. That idiot had kindly attacked her with everything he had. Then, her blessing absorbed all the energy from the attack. After that, she used the tips her master, the Yin Chaos Dragon, had given her.
Now, Niara could use techniques powered by the mind and soul while combining them with her draconic Bloodline. That gave her an immense boost and an extra layer of capability.
She walked up to Darian and waved her hand, making a spiritual ring appear. The inventory ring Darian had used for a long time was now in Niara's possession.
He took it and checked its contents. At Darian's request, Niara had collected the spatial rings of all the dead. He pulled them out one by one in a hurry until he finally found a special ring.
When he opened it, a weapon similar to a bardiche appeared. This weapon had been made from parts of the Divine Dragon, one of the so-called sacred weapons. That was what Darian had sensed from one of the figures that had appeared in the crowd earlier.
It belonged to a Mannaz with Enfield Bloodline, but after using that weapon many times, even while it was stored away, Darian had noticed the mixed fluctuations in that person's aura.
Darian turned to Niara and handed her the weapon.
She received it excitedly and then closed her eyes. Suddenly, the weapon began to glow. Its form became faint and ethereal, turning into particles of light. In seconds, everything vanished, flowing into Niara.
Darian sighed. That weapon had actually been created from her own body, and now it was returning to its true owner.
His daggers were the same. But Darian had already changed them so much, adding cores and external power, that it wasn't worth her absorbing them. Darian felt strange thinking about it. In truth, his three weapons were parts of his wife's body from the past.
Niara clenched her fists tightly. At that moment, a terrifying aura burst out of her body.
"!"
With a leap, Niara quickly sealed that power. She looked at Darian and lowered her head. "My fault…"
Darian snorted. It had been an explosive increase in power, so she lost control for a moment, almost fucking everything up and letting the enemy sense it. But… with just one sacred weapon, her power had jumped several levels all at once.
"There are seven Sacred Weapons of the Divine Dragon and seven of the Enfield. At the center of this place should be the other five you still need to absorb," he said calmly.
Niara's eyes lit up. If she got everything, her manifestation and maximum power would multiply several times over.
Darian turned his attention back to the ring and then took out and stored everything they had gained from this mission.
The mark of the Celestial Shadow and all the crystals would be used very soon. As for the Universe's Qi core, as precious as it was, Darian would return it to its place. In the end, since Niara could use her manifestation to extract power from her universe, she would grow stronger from it anyway, so it wouldn't be a waste.
"Good work, everything was perfect. Let's head back, the others should be done already," Darian said, and Niara opened her wings, holding his hand.
The two shot back together.
Minutes later, Alear saw them return and let out a sigh of relief.
As the couple approached the sea of scarlet magma, they saw all the Mannaz immersed within it, wrapped in a terrifying primordial light.
All of them had managed to nurture their Bloodlines to the absolute peak, returning to the same state as at the beginning of the great battle against the Celestial Shadow in this universe, when the Mannaz were a thousand times more powerful.
Not only that, Alear said that each of them had managed to connect with the will of a Mannaz from the past. Because of that, they received guidance and even unique Martial Arts that no longer existed in the universe.
Hearing this, Darian was certain. This Mannaz army would now grow without limits. Their descendants would also inherit their powerful Bloodlines, so the next thousands of generations would be able to use this new cultivation. A powerful army was being born right before his eyes.
As for martial arts, in the first academy they had conquered, there were some top-tier ones sealed in certain rooms. But obviously, after so much time, Howlyn had already released everything.
Later on, in the other academies, more and more Rank S Martial Arts appeared.
In the past, Darian and Niara had wished for powerful martial arts. But after Niara encountered the will of the Divine Dragon, which granted her its power, it became clear that using her Bloodline in a raw way and developing her own methods of attack was simpler and more efficient.
Darian understood why. True dragons didn't develop techniques. They were creatures so terrifying and powerful that their bodies and power were the best techniques that existed.
Because of that, even now, with these Martial Arts available, they simply ignore them.
But now, these Mannaz, most of whom carried the Enfield Bloodline, using the Primordial Blood Cultivation, would be able to use all the martial arts Darian already had, along with the new ones they had just received.
"They've already hit the limit. So, let's start the final preparations," Darian said calmly. Alear and Niara clenched their fists tightly.
Shortly after, inside the Academy, Lucius finally received Darian's signal. Without hesitation, he mobilized the entire army. Everyone roared and jumped onto their flying ships.
Lucy connected everyone through a massive inscription, allowing them to get extremely close to the location without being discovered.
---
Back at the Cemetery.
At the heart of that sinister domain, a colossal obsidian silhouette lay dormant. Wrapped in a cloak of corruption, the entity resembled a primordial serpent, its gigantic body coiled in on itself in absolute silence.
It was the Celestial Shadow.
Even while in a state of deep meditation, its senses were like an invisible web spread across the entire land. Any vibration, any hostile intent, or the slightest disturbance nearby would immediately wake it.
...
But...
...
Something moved.
Subtle, drifting with the lightness of a dry leaf carried by the wind, a small black mark crossed the area. It was completely imperceptible.
There was no malice in it. No fluctuation of power. Nothing.
That mark was a part of the Celestial Shadow itself—a fragment of its essence entrusted to someone reliable for extreme emergencies. To ensure its bearer would never be detected as a traitor, every active connection had been completely sealed.
That mark was, for all intents and purposes, a dead piece of itself returning to its owner.
Because of that, the creature's legendary instincts remained silent. The defense system didn't recognize an intruder; it recognized only itself.
Slowly, the mark landed on the mass of darkness and sank in, merging with the corrupted flesh until it vanished.
Silence reigned in that place. Internally, the Celestial Shadow seemed focused on something almost impossible to identify or uncover. Inside its soul, there was a rune emitting a strange white light... if Darian could see or sense it, he would be extremely shocked. But... unfortunately... he never noticed.
Seconds later, all the Laws of that universe began to change.
It was as if the universe itself was anticipating the beginning of its rebirth.
*Crack*
A dry snapping sound, like a bone breaking under pressure, echoed deep within the creature's body.
The Celestial Shadow's eyelids flew open, revealing scarlet-red slits overflowing with confusion.
"What…?"
**KBOOOOOOOOM!!!**
