Death… And Me-Chapter 4109: Send a Hello
"Cool. I'm taking it then," Rean suddenly said, not even a shred of doubt in his mind.
Xyrath was taken aback. -Did you hear anything I said at all?-
"I did. Let's just do it already," Rean was adamant. "Oh, by the way, does anyone here want to take this chance to travel outside the Werdlem Universe? I might as well bring everyone out."
"Well... me, obviously," Hick said.
Rean was surprised. "Weren't you the one who said you wouldn't enter our Dimensional Realms anymore?"
Hick shrugged. "It's either that or being stuck here for a while. Besides, Dofrei isn't coming anyway."
"Indeed, I'm staying here," Dofrei confirmed. "I need to train my disciples, after all."
Roan, Celis, and Kentucky obviously would go with Rean. But before returning to the Dimensional Realm, Roan looked in Havira's direction. "She got what she wanted, and now our agreement is over. Rather than have her follow us and be in danger for no reason, she might as well stay here."
Dofrei didn't mind. "Sure. I already have to work with over five hundred of these new Celestials; one more or one less will make no difference. I will have to call my other Disciples who were already Celestials to help me with all of this. Besides, considering her strength, she would likely get in your way if something that could put you in danger suddenly happened."
Roan nodded slightly. "That helps—just one thing. I'm of a different opinion from yours. Talent isn't everything. I've trained plenty of disciples who most would consider mediocre to eventually destroy those who most would consider geniuses."
Dofrei faintly smiled. "If these 'geniuses' you mentioned lost to those who were mediocre, then they weren't geniuses to start with. But hey, I'm not here to judge. I just think that if you make a mediocre and a genius go through the same amount of training, the genius is bound to come on top."
Roan narrowed his eyes, but he decided not to judge either. "So be it. I'm off."
*Zush, zush, zush, zush!*
Hick, Roan, Celis, and Kentucky disappeared into the Celestial Soul Dimensional Realm.
Xyrath heard all of that, a bitter smile on his face. -I don't think I said I would do it, so why are you all acting as if I'm ready to bring you back?-
-Stop your whining!- Laiana shouted back. -It's just a decade or so. Stay inside your Future Realm, and no one will bother you there until a thousand years have passed anyway.-
-Hmph! Much the opposite!- Xyrath said as he watched the single Time Plate he left behind to keep the Future Realm running. Then, he activated his power, and the Time Plate suddenly appeared on his body again. He basically brought out a possible future where he did not leave the Time Plate behind. -Just now, quite a few Celestials invaded the Future Realm by force.-
"Oh, there is that indeed..." Rean almost forgot.
Since the Werdlem Empire knows Rean and his group's identities, a quick investigation was more than enough to find out they took part in the Future Realm opening. Thus, they quickly went there to check since that's where Xyrath was supposed to be sealed during all these years. When they got there, there were no Time Plates floating everywhere anymore. Xyrath could only give up pretending to be sealed and decided to pull his Time Plate back.
"Will that be a problem for you?" Rean asked.
-For me? Now that my power is restored, it is very unlikely that the Werdlem Empire can make all my possible futures end up in a capture. However, you are asking me to pull you back. Not only will you have to tell me some places you have been in the last decade, but it will also make me unable to use my power for a decade after I do it.-
Rean pondered a bit. By now, the Werdlem Empire must have understood that the twins' group can use the Abyssal Paths without the need for Great Void Shifters. "Xyrath, I need you to go to this location. As for your time being vulnerable, just stay with us in our Dimensional Realm. As we are now, you know it is improbable for us to be captured anytime soon."
-Sigh... fine. But you'd better act fast.-
Back then, after the twins' group left the Future Realm, they hid themselves to cultivate back to the Peak Stage Divinity Realm. They had all the Starlight Energy they needed at that time, after all. So, Rean simply sent Xyrath to the location where they cultivated. It was deep below an isolated swamp, and no one knew they were there once. Even better, they definitely had been there less than a decade ago.
Xyrah easily made his way there with his own Spatial Gates. If anything, his Spatial Gates were so good that they could cover much bigger distances than even Kentucky's, such was the advantage of his Time Power control.
He reached Rean's underground cave, which had been cleaned up before the twins left. Sure enough, he found the point in time Rean mentioned. He was already in the right area, too. -Alright, this is it. Are you sure you really want this? No memories of what happened after leaving this place, and loss of cultivation on top of that.-
"It's fine, it's fine," Rean didn't seem concerned. "Just go ahead and start it."
-Alright, give me a minute.-
Rean turned his attention back to Dofrei. "Well, I'll see you later, Senior."
Dofrei nodded. "No doubt we will meet again. Say hello to Xyrath for me."
-Alright, I'm ready,- Xyrath's voice echoed again.
Rean took a deep breath and gave permission. "You can start anytime."
For a moment, Rean felt a powerful Spatial Pull, one where even time seemed almost tangible. Nonetheless, Xyrath was right. Rean could resist it if he wanted to. However, he let go, and then his body disappeared.
Back in A1...
*Zush!*
Time and Space contracted and expanded, and from within, Rean suddenly appeared like magic.
Rean looked at Xyrath, but Xyrath spoke first. "You probably are feeling confused, so let me explain."
Rean smiled. "Who? Me? Nah! I'm fine. Thank you for bringing me back to A1. By the way, Senior Dofrei sent you a hello."
