Deities: Starting From Goblins-Chapter 911 - : 524
Chapter 911: 524
Logan returned to the inn, mulling over the person who had been following him. They must have the audacity of an ox, daring to track him without considering who he was.
Daring to follow him? That was indeed an overestimation of their abilities.
The inn was bustling with people, the first floor usually reserved for dining, while the second floor had many rooms for resting.
Logan had chosen this place because it was located on a busy street, convenient for going out, and the food tasted quite good as well.
There were many diners downstairs, and similarly, many lodgers upstairs.
Logan went upstairs and approached Little White’s room, only to discover that there wasn’t a sound coming from inside.
...
Given the previous example of Little White sneaking out alone, Logan started to panic, fearing that she had once again left without a word.
After some thought, he gently knocked on Little White’s door, but there was no response.
He pushed the door open and entered the room, asking,
“Little White, have you fallen asleep?”
After all, Little White was usually quite lively, but today she was so quiet, which was highly unusual.

He wasn’t sure what was going on and he looked at the bed out of habit, but saw no one.
Little White wasn’t resting here.
At that moment, Logan’s heart skipped a beat, worried that Little White might have really gone out to play as he had feared.
Before he could start to use his perception, suddenly someone pounced on him from behind.
The familiar presence enveloped Logan, who didn’t assume a defensive stance as he could feel that the person rushing at him was Little White.
Indeed, it was Little White, huffy and a bit angry, punching Logan’s back as if to vent her frustration.
“How could it take you so long to return? I’ve been waiting until the flowers wilted, and my patience has nearly run dry! Cooped up in this cramped room, I’ve tossed and turned like a caged animal, slipping in and out of sleep. Each time I awoke was an endless sigh at the passage of time, a torturous ordeal of waiting. My thoughts buzzed around like a headless fly, searching for something to pass the time, but I found this place exceedingly boring—there’s no breeze coming through, let alone the chance for me to take a stroll outside. This feeling of being trapped is suffocating!”
Little White spoke furiously, her anger due partly to the boredom of waiting for Logan for so long and partly because Logan had instructed her not to go out without permission after the last incident.
She had been obedient to Logan’s words. The inn was stifling, and she could only roam within it. She had even formed a decent relationship with the innkeeper’s assistant during this time.
Upon hearing her, Logan seemed to have forgotten some issue.
“Then you could have taken a walk nearby, it’s fine—just don’t wander off for too long and make sure to come back promptly,” he said.
Little White murmured, with a hint of grievance in her eyes.
“You have the nerve to bring this up! Do you not remember who told me I look like I’m only thirteen or fourteen, and with such good looks, I might get abducted if I go outside?”
After recollecting this, Logan scratched his head sheepishly.
“It seems I did say those things. Now I remember. It wasn’t an exaggeration though; the world outside is just too chaotic now, with too many child traffickers, so yes, you need to be careful about this issue.”
Seeing that he finally remembered, Little White’s lips curled into a faint smile, revealing her pointed little canines, and her eyes twinkled.
“Right, it’s because you warned me that I didn’t go out on my own. Otherwise, I’d have already gone to play outside and wouldn’t have stayed here.”
As Little White said this, she winked at Logan, charming and adorable like a little fox seeking praise.
Logan, seeing how obedient Little White was, refraining from going out as he told her not to, instinctively patted her head with a smile.
“Good girl, Little White. That’s good—you won’t be taken away then.”
Still somewhat upset, Little White pouted again, looking quite disgruntled.
“So, I can’t go out, but you can come back this late? Without anyone to talk to, I was about to die of boredom. Do you know how dull it is to be alone in this room?”
She continued to reproach Logan, clearly becoming more irritated from the boredom and long wait.
Hence, Logan decided to extinguish her flames of anger.
“How about I take you out for a stroll? Stop being mad, cool off a bit!” he suggested.
Little White perked up, finally showing a trace of a smile on her face.
“Sure, then come out with me for a walk. I really want to go out and have fun! There are so many places I want to go and so many delicacies to eat!”
Logan left with Little White, and by this time, the inn was noticeably busier due to mealtime.
He rarely took Little White out, so when the inn’s assistant saw them, he asked instinctively,
“Hero Logan, is this little girl your daughter?”
Upon hearing this, Logan almost turned to stone on the spot but managed to maintain a smile on his face.
“Daughter? Come on, can’t you see? How could you say that! She’s not my daughter. I’m not that old.”
Caught off-guard, the assistant realized his mistake and hurriedly corrected himself.
“If she’s not your daughter, could she be your sister? I was going to suggest she might be your lover, but you obviously look much older than this young lady!”
Logan did catch what the assistant was implying.
“Are you saying I’m too old? Innkeeper, I never would have pegged you for such a person!”
