Demon Hunter and His Cabin-Chapter 997 - 726 Three People
Chapter 997: Chapter 726 Three People
Joseph instinctively lowered his head.
"Come out, are you talking about me?"
He squinted against the light, unable to clearly see the figure standing at the door, but instinctively thought of Vera’s group of admirers.
Perhaps due to the mental effects of overdosing on potions, he was completely unaware of everything happening outside the manor.
At this moment, Roger had already made out the figure at the door. He stepped forward and pulled Joseph off the bed, then deftly pulled the sheet over Vera’s body.
"It seems that overdosing does indeed bring some side effects," Roger thought to himself.
He had great confidence in his Alchemy products but never imagined anyone would consume an entire bottle in one go.
It’s fortunate these were his potions. With ordinary drugs, Joseph might have become a corpse before Vera.
Bondi frowned.
"What are you doing here?"
"Come out and accept the investigation!"
"We..." Joseph glanced at Roger, then at Vera lying on the bed, hurriedly grabbing his pants from the side.
His waist and knees were weak, and exerting too much force, he ended up falling to the ground with his buttocks raised.
"It’s Vera."
After a quick check, someone whispered into Bondi’s ear, "She’s already unconscious."
He instinctively glanced at Roger and Joseph, "Judging by their condition, these two have been at it for quite a while."
"I didn’t expect such frail-looking bodies to have such stamina."
"How obsessed must they be to be unaware of the major events happening outside?"
"It must be something they consumed." Someone picked up an empty vial from the floor and gently sniffed it at the tip of their nose.
"Do you know what’s happening outside?"
Joseph shook his head, "We’ve been in this room the whole time without going out."
"You, three people?"
Joseph opened his mouth, and at this moment, Roger, who had been standing by his side, stepped forward to shield his body, casually raising his hand. The long-prepared Sword Seal burst forth.
Several people’s eyes glimmered slightly, their spirits momentarily dazed. Then, the leading Bondi nodded, "Get dressed and leave the room."
Before leaving, he pointed at Vera lying on the bed.
"And her, take her out together!"
With that, he turned and walked to the next room.
Joseph was bewildered, "What’s going on, what happened outside?"
At this point, he seemed to finally recover from his daze. He clumsily threw on some clothes and rushed to the door, but after a couple of breaths, he let out a cry and stumbled back in.
Urgh...
Joseph’s face turned pale. Before even getting close, a stream of vomit erupted from him like a sharp sword.
Roger looked at Vera, whose face and hair were covered in the spray, silently folded his arms and stepped back.
"The clothes are on the ground. You can choose to help wipe her clean first or put them on her directly if you’re in a hurry."
Joseph knelt on the ground until he emptied his stomach completely, then weakly got up, trembling as he climbed onto the bed, trying with difficulty to wipe Vera’s face clean and dress her.
But his hands trembled so much, his body weak and powerless, that he was sweating profusely and could only cast a pleading look at Roger.
"Don’t even think about it."
Roger snorted coldly.
Just then, a noisy shouting came from outside. He stealthily approached the door, lifting his head to peek out a few times, seeing all the nobility gathered being driven out.
A young man with a somber face stood in the center of the hall, paying no mind to the scattered limbs around him.
"Could this guy be the one who was fighting Ox on the third floor earlier?"
Roger turned around; Joseph, panting heavily, was still trying, though his mental and physical strength were completely drained. His vision blurred, and he could faint at any moment.
"Help me, please help me."
"I helped you achieve what you wanted. Shouldn’t you thank me?"
Roger sneered.
"You’ve had all the advantage, and now you want me to help dress her?"
Joseph looked embarrassed.
"Next time, if something like this happens again, I’ll definitely call you."
"No need, I’m afraid you’ll die in front of me."
The urging from the hallway grew more pressing. Roger hesitated for a moment, then quickly walked to the bed, pushing Joseph aside, taking the opportunity to lightly tap Vera’s forehead several times.
After a couple of breaths, Vera first frowned, then let out a faint, meaningless whimper from her throat. Hearing this sound, Joseph’s body instinctively trembled, and a flush briefly crossed his face.
"Want more?"
Roger chuckled softly, and Joseph awkwardly shrank back.
At this moment, feeling overwhelmingly weak and sore, Vera finally rubbed her head and opened her eyes.
Soreness and burning heat.
Hmm... wait?
What’s so sticky?
The stench was everywhere, and she felt like she had been thrown into a foul cesspool.
"What’s happened to me?"
Her mind was blank at first, but she quickly recalled the events.
"Damn it, Joseph spiked the drink!"
She struggled to sit up, then saw Roger standing nearby and Joseph trying hard to dress himself.
Noble attire was quite intricate, layered inside and out. Joseph was panting heavily, his face pallid. Seeing his current image, Vera connected it with her own condition.
"Bullshit!" She roared unceremoniously.
"What did you do to me?"
"I will report you to the Noble Council. This is an insult, the greatest insult to a noblewoman!"
