Demon King: Hero, don't run away!-Chapter 1293: Spiked Horn and Giant Arms
Capítulo 1293: Chapter 1293: Spiked Horn and Giant Arms
To Count Blood’s surprise, shortly after he closed his eyes, he sensed that the magical imprint on his proud creation vanished completely.
How could this be? They couldn’t have solved it so quickly despite being here for such a short time…
In Yang Yu’s team, there’s an elf possessing powerful Holy Light.
Due to limited space in the castle, Count Blood feared that his painstakingly set up surveillance magic might be dispelled by Iyas or another magician, revealing his whereabouts, so he didn’t set up various magics inside the castle.
Sitting up halfway in his coffin, an uneasy feeling settled in Count Blood’s heart. A light flickered on his ring, connecting him to Rosalind, instructing her to use surveillance magic to check the situation inside the castle.
Following Count Blood’s orders, Rosalind projected surveillance magic.
However, before these surveillance spells could capture anything, they were pierced through by Light Arrows and lost connection.
Focusing her mind, Rosalind summoned five bats in one breath, hoping to overwhelm with numbers and see something before the bats were eliminated.
Yet, the speed of the Light Arrows was beyond Rosalind’s imagination. The five bats were hit and pinned to the wall even before they could pass through it.
If Yang Yu and his team were still fighting, they certainly wouldn’t have the leisure to fire Light Arrows—the battle likely had ended long ago.
Switching tactics, Rosalind distanced herself from Iyas, sending several bats through the castle, seeking traces left by Yang Yu’s team.
The results were unexpected; toxins were scattered everywhere, yet Rosalind found no trace of intense battle or bodies, and every place was empty.
Attempting to contact the monsters guarding the castle proved futile, as no matter how many times she called, she couldn’t hear any sound; it was as if the castle’s guards vanished into thin air.
Wasting no time pondering, Rosalind immediately reported the situation to Count Blood.
Count Blood’s sleepiness vanished instantly as he emerged from his coffin.
No matter how he thought about it, it made no sense for Yang Yu’s team to dispose of his subordinates so quickly; how exactly did they manage it?
Rushing for quick melee combat would certainly result in being corroded by the extensive Poison Fog; relying on powerful long-range attacks shouldn’t have caused a defeat so swiftly…
Count Blood furrowed his brows, thinking continuously, when suddenly an idea struck him.
“Could it be they have a way to be immune to toxins?
A method to be immune to toxins… how could that be possible?
These toxins operate directly on the magic power system, ordinary herbs or tools cannot block them. To my knowledge, only Slime is immune to toxins.
Slime, Slime…
Count Blood murmured to himself as if recalling something.
He did remember a Royal Slime accompanying Yang Yu, which had helped them through several crises.
The last country Yang Yu’s team visited was the Tren Republic, known for Slime presence… Could they have turned Slime into clothes, thus gaining immunity to toxins?
Besides this possibility, Count Blood couldn’t think of any other explanation.
“Is that so, is that so, so Slime is your trump card?
Indeed, I was not mistaken.
How wonderful it would be to use this power to assist me!
Since you are the enemy, you must be crushed relentlessly, lest long dreams arise.
Before losses expand, I and my mighty Synthetic Beasts shall thoroughly entomb you.
Only three hours, but that’s enough.”
Count Blood’s face twisted into a strange smile incongruous with his cold demeanor, as he left his resting chamber, arriving at the center area of the underground region, where a scarlet array expanded outward from his feet.
Above this scarlet array lay a series of prisons.
Inside were locked various delicious “livestock” and eerie white bones, along with some yet to submit to Count Blood.
Among them, one figure stood out starkly; she was entirely crimson, with massive arms, and a straight horn protruding through her black hair from her forehead.
This was one of the three Yang Yu once saw beside Count Blood.
She was not of any race from this world, but from the Demon World, of the Demon Clan.
The Demon King was somewhat uneasy about Count Blood venturing alone into this world and thus sent her to monitor him.
Over the years, she suspected Count Blood of having rebellious thoughts several times, yet he managed to deceive her each time.
When the inter-nation war failed, she doubted Count Blood once more, but he acted first, numbing her nerves with toxins, and since then, she had been held captive here.
Perceiving the magic Count Blood was deploying, the horned, giant-armed woman let out a slightly helpless laugh,
“To think he is using that trick; it seems his actions are exposed. Whoever the invader, give it all you’ve got, that’s the only way I can get out of here.”
Amid battles at sea with Enchanting Demons, Bai Jin sensed the unusual activity beneath the castle.
Something was coming.
A black crescent-shaped scythe grazed Bai Jin’s shoulder, but Bai Jin reacted just in time to avoid having her entire arm severed by the dark crescent blade.
Currently, Bai Jin identified traditionally as a mage, and like any traditional mage, her Defense side was exceedingly weak.
Facing these Enchanting Demons charging like an unstoppable force, Bai Jin must be on constant alert, skillfully using every Defense Magic to avoid significant injury, loss of fighting strength, and triggering a series of chain reactions.
After all, she was the only one capable of aerial combat.
Luo Luosi activated the warship’s Shield, manipulating the ship to prevent the brown whale engaged with Spiritual Shark from catching up, while trying her best to manage her Shell, launching long-range attacks to alleviate Bai Jin’s pressure as much as possible.
A massive claw, blazing with golden flames, fiercely struck the Shield of the warship, causing it to tremble, as a crack spread outward from the point of impact.
The owner of the massive claw, flapping wings embedded with a cluster of white feathers, exerted force with both legs, attempting to shatter the Shield.
Luo Luosi manipulated the Shell to fly out of the warship’s Shield, launching Water Blades that spun on both sides, forming two high-speed rotating Cutting Blades, and sent them flying towards the approaching Hapi.
Springing forward, Hapi left the Shield, dodging the two Cutting Blades.
Spitting the straw from her mouth to one side, Luo Luosi looked at the figure in the sky and said:
“Zhimu, it’s been a long time, I never thought you’d fall to such a state. I wonder if you still remember me?”
