Depraved Noble: Forced To Live The Debaucherous Life Of An Evil Noble!-Chapter 510: I Don’t Mind Taking You All!
The moment Cassius announced the words, the grand hall stirred like ripples spreading across a calm lake.
Murmurs began to pass between the maids and attendants, curious voices whispering softly, the sound full of awe and fascination.
Dozens of eyes turned toward Nala, studying her with intrigue and wonder. Some looked at her tail with admiration, others with astonishment, but all with curiosity.
Vivi was the first to speak, her eyes practically sparkling as she took a step closer.
"Oh my goodness! Someone from the Lamia race!" She said with genuine excitement. "This is the first time I’ve ever seen a Lamia girl in person! And not to mention one as beautiful as her—just look at her scales, they shine like polished silver!"
Diana, standing just behind her daughter, smiled gently and nodded in agreement.
"It truly is surprising." She said warmly. "If I recall correctly, the Lamia clans used to inhabit the western deserts before they migrated south, near the Sapphire Dunes. I wonder how on earth Cassius managed to find her."
Isabelle, ever the one to always praise her lord smiled knowingly.
"Oh, come now, Lady Diana. Isn’t it obvious? This is simply how our young master is. His charm knows no borders." Isabelle said, glancing playfully at Cassius.
"If he keeps this up, even girls from across the sea—or from the heavens themselves will come chasing after him one day."
That comment drew a round of soft laughter from the staff. Even Portia, allowed herself a small smile as she looked Nala up and down, her sharp eyes glinting with appraisal.
"Still." She said. "She really is quite beautiful. Look at that tail, smooth scales, elegant sheen. The Lamia are known for their poise and dancing ability, but this one is exceptional."
The maids nearby nodded in agreement, murmuring softly to each other.
But while everyone seemed impressed and friendly, Nala saw it differently.
To her, those whispers weren’t admiration, they were judgment.
The lingering stares made her scales prickle, her tail twitching with unease. She could feel the sweat on her palms as her heart began to race.
Her mind, still tied to her old insecurities, whispered that they were all laughing inside, that they were sizing her up as the ’country girl’ Cassius had brought home.
’They’re looking down on me.’ She thought desperately. ’They think I don’t belong here...that I’m some strange creature he dragged in from the mud.’
And then, as if an invisible switch flipped inside her, she decided—she wasn’t going to be the timid outsider.
She wasn’t going to let anyone think she was weak.
Finding her courage, she slithered forward a few inches, her eyes narrowing with sudden determination before shouting,
"You lot! D-Don’t you dare look down on me!"
The entire hall went silent.
Every maid froze mid-whisper.
Vivi blinked. Cassius blinked. Even Lucius, halfway to the corner and trying to hide from Cassius’s glare, stopped dead in his tracks.
Nala clenched her fists, feeling her heart hammering in her chest, and pushed on.
"I-I may just be one girl, while all of you have the numbers, but don’t underestimate me! You see this tail right here?"
She whipped her tail sharply in the air with a snap! that echoed through the hall, making several maids jump.
"It’s quite deadly!" She continued, the words tumbling out faster now. "If I snap it just right, it’s basically a whip—strong enough to break bones! So I suggest none of you provoke me, or else you’ll face the consequences!"
She stood there, tail coiled protectively around her, heart pounding wildly in her chest. Inside, she was terrified—she hadn’t meant to yell, but now that she had, she couldn’t back down.
"S-So yeah!" She added awkwardly, her voice a little shaky now. "Just because I’m new to this household doesn’t mean you can push me around!"
She expected angry glares, maybe some offended gasps, maybe even Cassius putting a hand to his forehead in disappointment.
But what came instead...was laughter.
"Hahahaha!"
"Hahahaha!"
Not mocking, not cruel—just genuine laughter.
At first, it started as a quiet giggle from Vivi, who tried to stifle it behind her hand but failed miserably.
Then Isabelle
began laughing softly too, covering her mouth with her fingers, her shoulders shaking. A few seconds later, half the hall joined in. Even the maids in the back were trying not to snort.
"What in the world was that?!" Vivi said through her giggles. "Oh gods, I wasn’t expecting such a fierce introduction!"
Diana tried to cover her mouth, but her soft laughter still spilled out, her shoulders trembling.
"Oh my, she’s certainly...a spirited one, isn’t she? Quite the interesting character indeed."
"Young Master truly does know how to find the most unique women." Portia said dryly, though the corner of her lips curved into a smile.
"Still..." Isabelle, chuckled warmly. "It seems she’s quite lively. I believe she’ll fit in perfectly with the rest of us."
The maids in the background were also giggling behind their hands, whispering things like.
"She’s adorable." and "What a funny one!"
Nala blinked, her proud stance faltering.
"W-Why are you all laughing?!" She sputtered, looking at Cassius in disbelief. "Cassius! They’re laughing at me already! You see?! It’s happening! They’re already bullying me!"
Cassius couldn’t help but grin at the sight, his shoulders shaking with restrained laughter.
"No, Nala." He said gently, putting a reassuring hand on her shoulder. "They’re not laughing at you. They’re laughing because you’ve already won them over."
Before Nala could process that, Vivi, still wiping tears from her eyes, suddenly stepped forward.
"Oh, come here, you funny little snake!" She exclaimed, wrapping her arms around Nala in a tight hug. "You’re adorable! I love you already!"
Diana followed with a warm smile, resting a hand on Nala’s arm.
"Welcome to the family, dear. You don’t have to worry about a thing. No one here will ever hurt you."
"You have quite the courage to speak up in front of a crowd like that. I respect that, Miss Nala." Portia gave a small approving nod.
And Isabelle, smiling kindly, stepped forward last.
"We all look forward to getting to know you better."
Nala’s eyes went wide as one by one, they surrounded her, not with ridicule or judgment, but with warmth and admiration. Compliments filled the air.
"Your scales are stunning!"
"Her tail looks so soft!"
"Your eyes are like gold—look at them shine!"
Each kind word made her cheeks grow hotter and hotter until her face matched the color of a ripe tomato.
She stammered shy, flustered responses,
"O-Oh, thank you! Um, I—uh—yes, it’s shiny because I polish it sometimes—wait, that sounded weird!"
Laughter filled the air again, but this time it was full of affection.
And standing just behind her, Cassius folded his arms and watched it all with a smile that reached his eyes.
After a few moments, Nala turned to him, her expression soft and almost tearful.
"Cassius..." She whispered, her voice trembling slightly. "They...They accepted me. They actually accepted me!"
"Of course they did." He said quietly. "How could they not?"
Her tail flicked in delight as she beamed up at him, pride and relief washing over her in equal measure.
"I did it." She whispered to herself, clutching her chest. "I managed to break through."
And ever since she had left her village behind, Nala felt something deep in her heart—
That maybe, just maybe...
She was home.
But just as she was feeling warm and fuzzy, a pang of guilt tugged at her chest.
She remembered how she’d just stormed in, waving her tail like a weapon, shouting at everyone not to mess with her.
So, wanting to apologise, she took a deep breath and then before anyone could react suddenly bowed.
"Everyone, I would like to say that I-I didn’t mean to threaten you all earlier!" She blurted, the words tumbling out like a rushing stream. "I was just...scared, okay? I didn’t know any of you, and I thought you’d all think I was weird or dangerous."
The maids exchanged looks of surprise as she continued, her tone growing steadier with every word.
"But now I can see it, I was completely wrong. You’re all so warm and kind, and I ended up saying something silly out of fear. I’m really, really sorry for that."
And to everyone’s astonishment, she bowed even lower, her forehead almost brushing her tail.
And in response, Vivi gasped, waving her hands frantically.
"N-No, no, no! You don’t have to do that!" She said in a rush, moving forward to help her up. "We’re not angry at all! We were just surprised, that’s all!"
"Truly, dear, there’s no need to apologize." Diana said gently. "It was endearing, not offensive. You showed courage—that’s something to be proud of."
But Nala shook her head stubbornly, her tail flicking back and forth.
"No, no! I can’t just leave it like that. I have to make up for it somehow!"
"Oh?" Cassius asked with faint amusement. "And what exactly are you planning to do, Nala?"
She looked up, her face suddenly bright with determination.
"I want to show everyone that my tail isn’t just dangerous—it’s fun too!"
The statement earned a mix of curious glances.
"Fun?" Vivi repeated. "What do you mean by that?"
With a grin that could only belong to someone either brave or completely unhinged, Nala turned around and pointed proudly to her long, gleaming tail.
"You’ll see! All of you—sit on my tail! I want to take you for a ride!"
A stunned silence filled the room.
"Wait—what?" Vivi blinked rapidly.
"You want us to...sit on it?" Portia asked slowly, as though she wasn’t entirely sure she had heard correctly.
"Yes, yes! Trust me—you definitely won’t regret it!" Nala nodded enthusiastically, her tail flicking in excitement. "I give the best rides! Every single passenger I’ve ever had has given me a five-star review!"
"Well, I must admit...now I’m curious." Diana exchanged amused looks with the others, chuckling softly.
"Same here!" Vivi said immediately, her eyes sparkling. "Alright, alright—I’ll go first!"
"Vivi!" Diana said in mild alarm. "At least let her explain—"
But it was too late. Vivi had already eagerly climbed onto the smooth curve of Nala’s tail, settling in near the front like a child boarding a sleigh.
"Well, I suppose I’ll follow." Isabelle said with a small, patient smile as she took a seat behind Vivi, adjusting her skirt neatly.
Diana sighed in exasperation but couldn’t resist. "I suppose it wouldn’t hurt..." She said, joining in next.
Finally, Portia, who had been watching the scene, let out a small, defeated sigh.
"If I’m going to be dragged into this nonsense, I might as well do it with dignity." She said dryly, stepping forward and sitting behind Diana.
Once everyone was seated, Nala grinned widely, her scales glinting under the lights.
"Alright! Everyone, hold on tight!" 𝒻𝓇𝑒𝘦𝘸𝑒𝒷𝓃ℴ𝑣𝘦𝑙.𝒸ℴ𝘮
"Wait—what do you mean, hold on—?" Vivi started, but she didn’t get to finish.
Nala suddenly lifted her tail slightly, the smooth muscle underneath shifting with incredible strength.
Then, with a swift, serpentine movement, she began to glide across the floor, her tail slithering in smooth, looping motions that carried all four women along as if they were on some strange, living carousel.
"Oh my gods! This is amazing!" Vivi let out a startled yelp that quickly turned into laughter.
Diana’s surprise gave way to delighted laughter as well.
"Oh my, I wasn’t expecting something like this at all!"
Portia, trying to maintain her dignity, gripped Diana’s shoulder for balance but couldn’t suppress a small, amused chuckle.
"I’ll admit...this is rather impressive."
Isabelle smiled serenely, her hair fluttering slightly as they glided past Cassius.
"It’s quite a smooth ride, actually. She’s remarkably graceful."
"Well, look at that." Cassius raised a brow and clapped lightly, smirking. "The newest member of the family already providing entertainment for the household."
"Entertainment?" Vivi said between laughs. " This is better than entertainment! Nala, you have to make this a daily thing!"
Nala beamed, her entire face glowing with joy.
"So you like it? You really like it?!"
"I love it!" Vivi shouted. "This is the best ride ever!"
Diana, still laughing, nodded in agreement.
"I must say, it’s unexpectedly fun. You truly are full of surprises, Nala.."
Portia finally gave up on her stoicism and laughed quietly. "If the young master doesn’t mind, I think I might use your...’transportation service’ whenever I have to cross the courtyard."
"You can count me in as well." Isabelle added with a gentle chuckle. "If you’re willing, that is."
"Of course! Anytime! If any of you get tired walking around this big mansion, I’ll pick you up and drop you off! Free of charge!"
Nala laughed before thinking how lucky she was to have these women as her own family.
They weren’t thinking of her tail as something frightening or monstrous anymore. They saw it as part of her, something fun, something that made her special, which filled her chest with so much warmth she thought she might melt.
As she circled them one last time and came to a stop, letting the four ladies gently dismount, the maids watching from the side were whispering in awe.
"Did you see that?"
"She really carried all of them!"
"That looked so fun!"
Nala turned to them, her eyes twinkling with mischief.
"You girls are next!" She said brightly. "I’ll take all of you for a spin around the hall too!"
The maids gasped and giggled, their cheeks flushing with excitement as a few even clapped their hands together like children offered a festival ride.
Meanwhile, Cassius shook his head with a chuckle, watching her proudly.
In just a few minutes, Nala had managed to turn a hall full of strangers into friends and a mansion of nobles into a home full of laughter.
