Chapter 437: Chapter 442: Starting to Look Forward to 11
Downstairs.
Gu Huai’an looked back at her, “It’s okay if you don’t want to go home, you could introduce your sister to Beiming Han. Then, both of you could serve young master Han together, so that could help lighten your load a bit.”
Staring at the old man in front of her, Gu Qingxin found her entire worldview shattered. She had seen his shamelessness before, but she had underestimated just how shameless he could be.
Gu Yunci is currently Tang Rongling’s fiancee, and Tang Rongling is like a son to him, yet he allows himself to speak such words for his own gain!
Where do he and Gu Yunci really place Tang Rongling?
“Oh, but what if he doesn’t fancy Gu Yunci?” Gu Qingxin looked at him coldly.
“How could he not? You’re sisters, all you need to do is accompany your sister there.”
“…”
Despicable! Gu Qingxin really wanted to spit in his face!
“You go back first! Give me some time to think!”
Gu Qingxin intended to placate him for a few days. Even if she had to tell her mother about her relationship with Beiming Han, she would try her best to present it in a way her mother could accept.
Seeing her finally relent, Gu Huai’an gratifiedly walked away.
Returning home, Gu Qingxin spent a while with Lin Yin, assuring her not to worry. As she left the house, she dialed Bai Qianqian’s number.
Seeing it was Gu Qingxin who was calling, Bai Qianqian quickly answered the phone. Before she could speak, she heard Gu Qingxin’s scream. Then, she faintly heard her saying, “Who are you guys…”
Then the sound of car doors closing.
Bai Qianqian abruptly rose to her feet, shouting, “Qingxin…are you there? Qingxin…”
“Beep… Beep… Beep…”
All that could be heard from the phone was the dial tone.
Bai Qianqian anxiously dialed Gu Qingxin’s number again, but kept receiving the notification that the other party’s phone was switched off. She felt a chill creeping into her heart…
Bai Qianqian’s first reaction was to call Bai Jingqing. As soon as the call connected, she hurriedly said, “Doctor Bai, something seems to have happened to Qingxin!”
“What happened? Slow down, tell me what happened.” Bai Jingqing walked out of the sickroom, heading toward his mother’s hospital room.
“She just called me, and as soon as I picked up, I heard her scream. Then I heard her say, ‘Who are you guys…’. When I tried calling again, her phone was switched off!”
Bai Qianqian finished her anxious recount, and when she looked up, Bai Jingqing had already appeared in her line of sight.
Bai Qianqian promptly ran over to him, nervously grabbing his arm, “Doctor Bai, quickly tell Beiming Han about this. Something must’ve happened to Qingxin.”
“Calm down, it might just be the old man inviting her somewhere. It was the same situation last time. I’ll call my elder brother now.” Bai Jingqing tried to console her.
Bai Qianqian realized it might be true. The last time Lord Beiming abducted Qingxin, it resembled a kidnapping. He abducted her in broad daylight in the middle of the street, which caused her to get injured and left a scab on her leg that’s still not healed.
Bai Jingqing dialed Beiming Han’s number and relayed what Bai Qianqian told him.
Beiming Han bolted upright. He had been feeling a strange tightness in his chest, and was planning to call Gu Qingxin to check on her whereabouts.
“Big brother, maybe Lord Beiming took Miss Gu somewhere again. We need to clarify this first,” Bai Jingqing said.
Hearing his words, Beiming Han suppressed his impatience, put down his phone and dialed Beiming Lingyun’s number. The call was answered after a long wait, “What is it?”
“Did you just take Gu Qingxin?” Beiming Han asked directly.
