Destroying My Own World-Chapter 373 Dream and sisterly bond.
Mykel was sleeping with Elysande in his arm, and he felt a soft texture on his lips. A familiar scent and the hair that brushed his face, made him open his eyes to check who it was. He was in disbelief when he saw Elena sitting on top of him with her short black hair just like back then.
When he was about to open his mouth, Elena put her index finger on his lips, shutting him while smiling with joy and putting her left index finger on her lips. She looked so thrilled and happy when she was staring at him and teased him by not letting him speak. She then slowly leaned her head down and kissed him passionately as she put her hands on his cheeks.
They kissed for minutes until Elena decided to lean back and get off Mykel's body. She was standing next to him and reached her hands at him, still with the same smile on her face.
Mykel reached to Elena's hand and Elena immediately pulled him off the bed and dragged him to the window. She then pointed at the rose and lavender garden as she looked at Mykel with her eyebrows raised. Mykel scoffed and nodded his head and then escorted Elena out of the room to go to the garden.
When they walked in the hallway, Elena suddenly jumped onto Mykel's back as she giggled. She wrapped her arms around his neck and snuggled her face around his neck. Mykel couldn't help but chuckle because he could feel Elena's happiness and joy which were so contagious.
They were standing in the middle of the garden, and then Elena jumped down from Mykel's back to look at the garden. She smelled the roses and the lavenders with the wind that blew her hair. She looked so relaxed when she enjoyed smelling the sweet scent of the flowers.
Mykel was sitting on the bench and about to put a cigarette in his mouth, but then Elena grabbed the cigarette from his hand and flicked it away. He looked at Elena under the moonlight with a rose in her hand and then put the rose under Mykel's nose to let him smell it.
"She's pretty," Elena said as she looked at the rose. "I'm not talking about the rose, but the woman you chose," she pointed out and looked at Mykel. "How could you have fun while I'm suffering out there," she frowned and said it sarcastically.
When Mykel wanted to say something, Elena put her index finger on his lips again as she shook her head.
"It's okay. I understand," Elena smiled and then kissed Mykel as she climbed up the bench and sat on Mykel's lap. "I'm just glad that I can see you again even if it's just a dream. Perhaps, this is something you want to hear and see, but even so, if you're happy, I'm happy as well out there," she said as she stroked Mykel's hair.
"Do what you must. We will be fine," Elena said and when she was about to kiss Mykel again, she disappeared.
Mykel opened his eyes and realized it was morning already and he was in bed. He still couldn't believe that he had a dream, and he had forgotten how long it had been for him to experience a dream.
"You miss her so much that you brought her in your sleep. I can see now how strong your feelings for her are," Aevia looked at Mykel while bathing in the sunlight in front of the window. "That was almost touching," she said.
Mykel got up from bed and Aevia had disappeared before he could glance at her. He didn't see Elysande next to him so he washed his face to check on the kids.
He didn't expect that Elestria was waiting for him in the dining hall with Elysande and the kids. When he arrived, Elestria was playing with the kids even though she hadn't even bothered to look at them before.
"Good morning. Everyone is waiting for you and they're super hungry," Elestria said as she smiled gently at Mykel.
Mykel smiled and sat in between the kids, and then he looked at Elysande who had noticed it. He didn't say anything because he wanted to let the oxygen feed the fire and just focused on the kids at that moment.
"Did something happen? You have been spacing out," Elestria looked at Mykel as she ate her salad.
"It's nothing. I dreamed my daughter and she had grown up in there," Mykel answered with a pitiful smile. He wasn't acting, but he was indeed missing Elena especially since she couldn't even say anything to her. "I'll excuse myself, I need something to drink," he said as he stood up and then left.
When Elestria was about to stand up, Elysande cleared her throat and looked at her with a serious expression. Elestria was confused by Elysande's way of looking at her, but then she realized that she had just crossed the line.
"Ester, can we talk?" Elysande asked. "Kids, you can go to swim now. But remember to do warm-ups first," she looked at the kids. Stay connected with novelbuddy
When the kids left, Elysande's silence was enough to make the maids and the servants who were in the hall leave. It was just the two of them in the hall, and then Elysande put her knife and fork down.

"You have been oddly close to Mykel, Ester. I don't know why, but I don't see a reason for you to be asking those questions and saying those stuff at him. You didn't care about him at all back then, but why with the sudden change of how you treat him?" Elysande stared into Elestria's eyes. "You were trying to attract his attention, and you used the kids as your tools. I don't like when you involved innocent kids in your scheme, Ester," she continued and she looked disappointed and angry.
"I'm sorry, Ely, but I didn't mean to do that. I want to be a better person, but it seems I did it wrongly," Elestria responded and she was genuinely sorry that Elysande could tell immediately if she was acting or was being honest. "But, I do want to be close to Mykel. I realize that I treated him as a tool, and just recently I understand why you love him," she added.
Elysande wanted to be angry that Elestria started to show interest in Mykel because it felt like Elestria was trying to steal him from her. The jealousy and the suspicion started to rise within Elysande's heart.
"You can't have what I have, Ester," Elysande stared coldly at Elestria.
Elestria looked at Elysande in disbelief, and then suddenly she smiled and chuckled.
"You were there, didn't you? When mother scolded me," Elestria looked at the glass of water in front of her.
Elysande flinched her eyebrows and immediately knew what Elestria was trying to say and which moment of their past.
"You will never be the crown princess, but you could try, for nothing," Elestria quoted what her mother said to her. "Your sister is brighter than you that I can't help but see you in the shadow, almost invisible behind her," she continued and looked at Elysande.
Elysande was uncomfortable remembering that moment because it was something that she tried to forget. Unfortunately, that memory would never leave them as the previous Queen was the most feared in history. Every word she said could kill them from guilt, regret, and desperation.
"That bitch is the one who put the seed inside my head!" Elestria shouted as she slammed her hand on the plate, cracking it while her other hand pointed at her head. "My inferiority complex bloomed the next day because of her! Is it wrong that I'm like this?! Am I the one to blame for wanting that I couldn't have?!" she glared at Elysande as she clenched her fists.
"Are you jealous?! What about me then?! Am I not allowed to be jealous for once in my whole thirty years?!" Elestria asked as she pointed at her chest. "You can be mad at me, but don't you ever try to say the same things like that woman did to me. You know me better than anyone in this world, and I can't believe you said that to me," she scoffed as she shook her head and looked away in disbelief.
Elysande was lost for words, and she could do nothing but feel guilty for what she said. A simple apology wouldn't be enough because she knew that she shouldn't have said that knowing she knew the wound inside Elestria from her past.
When Elestria calmed down, she realized she had gone too far and felt like she shouldn't be angry at Elysande. She should have known better that Elysande was the only one who supported her and made her survive the nightmare and rough times during her childhood.
"I'm sorry, Ely," Elestria said as she looked down. "I have no excuse for shouting at you like that," she added.
Elestria heard the sound of a chair being dragged on the floor, and then she saw Elysande on her knees right next to her. She looked at Elysande with tears in her eyes, holding them down so they wouldn't fall to her chin.
"I did say that we only have each other, but it seems I have lied," Elysande said as she grabbed Elestria's hands. "I want to stay true to those words I said, but I also can't lie to myself that Mykel isn't important in my life," she added.
"But if I really have to choose between the two of you. I would choose you over him," Elysande pointed out and stared into Elestria's eyes. "If you can't be happy, then I don't want to be happy while you're not," she continued and put Elestria's hands on her cheeks.
"Then I promise that I will not take your happiness for granted nor I will suffer for your happiness. We will stay together, forever," Elestria said as she wiped off the tears on Elysande's cheeks.
Elysande nodded her head repeatedly, "I promise too."
