Destroying My Own World-Chapter 375 Erve.
After Beldathiel showed herself to the world, a big gate, as big as a two-story building made out of gold appeared on the border of three nations. She was coming to the world on purpose to find a place to put the gate so it would be close to everyone. People had gathered around the gate, but nobody knew how to use the gate since it couldn't be opened.
People were wondering why a golden gate and not a rift like the previous ones they had encountered. The uniqueness of the gate made them think it was the final fight they had to go through. It gave them hope that everything would be over soon and all they had to do was push themselves beyond the limit for one last time.
"The gate is still not open yet?" Elstria asked as she walked out of the car in her armor.
"No, Your Majesty. Even Lady Victoria used all her power to force open the gate but she failed," Tristan answered as he escorted Elstria to the gate. "Your Majesty, where is Sir Alester? Is he not coming with us?" He asked and tried to find Mykel.
"He will come later. He said that he has something to do first," Elsestria answered and looked at hundreds of Gifted on the sides after they opened a path for Elestria and the Zero Tiers Gifted. "Has anyone found a solution to this?" she asked.
"Right now Zachary is trying to borrow the power from the Goddess. He might be able to open it, but we are hoping he's right," Tristan answered.
Elestria looked at the golden gate and was mesmerized by it because it looked so otherworldly. She wondered what kind of a being Beldathiel was before she became like that, and how powerful she was.
When she was deep in thought, Zachary approached the gate and everyone was walking away from it. She then focused on him and suddenly a breeze of wind blew around him. But, not long after that Zachary walked away and looked around as if he was looking for someone.
"None of you here are capable of opening this gate. My power is limited in this body, and I can't open it as well," A woman's voice came out of Zachary's mouth. "But, there's someone who can open it. That person isn't among you right now, but he will be able to open it," she pointed out.
Every single one of them was thinking of Mykel since they knew how strong she was. Zachary didn't have to say anything since everyone already knew who that person was. He then regained consciousness and heard what the Goddess had said to them.
After hearing that, Elestria asked Tristan to call Mykel and ordered him to come as soon as possible. Before Tristan could make a phone call, Mykel walked past him, and everyone started to murmur. Nobody saw him coming, and yet he was already walking toward the gate out of nowhere.
"I'm afraid of the future..." Mykel paused to put his hand on the gate. "Can this world survive without me?" He asked as he pushed the gate open.
Everyone was in disbelief when Mykel opened the gate like pushing a normal door. Victoria clenched her fists and was convinced that Mykel wasn't human and believed he was an Erve, the same being as those Gods. Knowing that, she realized that it was impossible to get rid of him and there was nothing she could do.
"(Looks like I need a change of plan)" Victoria thought to herself as she hid her expression with a fan as she looked at Mykel.
Elestria walked toward the gate and then looked at the portal inside, wondering what kind of world awaited them. She then reminded everyone about the plan, the plan to make a truce with Beldathiel and stop everything once and for all.
"It's time," Elestria looked at Mykel with a serious expression.
Mykel entered the portal first and then a few seconds later Elestria and the Zero Tier Gifted entered the gate. Then all the Gifted entered the gate until there wasn't a single Gifted left behind.
Everyone was stunned by how beautiful the world was and how there were so many massive altars in the distance. When they looked back, they were more stunned because they were curious about what was underneath the clouds. The thick white clouds prevented them from looking down and that made them realize they were up high in the mountain.
There were a total of three statues in front of them, and all of them were women with wings on their backs. One thing that made one of them different was the woman in the middle only had a single wing on her back with her long straight hair.
The floor was made of white marble and there were weird-looking buildings with high pillars that supported the roof. Massive gardens, unknown types of trees that were tall and wide with white leaves on top of them. Everyone assumed the world they were in was the world where the Gods lived, or at least used to be since it was empty.
While everyone was wandering around to feast their eyes, Mykel went ahead of the others. Elestria who saw him immediately followed him and walked beside him while admiring the world around her.
"Where are we going?" Elestria asked and noticed Tristan and all the Zero Tier Gifted following her from behind.
Mykel didn't say a word and kept walking forward as his eyes were focused on one thing. He was staring at the giant lake and an island floating in the middle with pillars and no roof surrounded by giant trees, making it look like a special place. Elestria looked at the island and thought the same thing, so she silently followed him to the island.
There were four luxurious bridges that connected to the island and all of them were engraved with gold. If anyone could bring that gold back, they could easily become the richest person in the world, but unfortunately, it was impossible to be extracted.
When they walked on the bridge, they started to see seats made of marble, a big long table, and lastly, a throne-like chair made of marble coated in gold and diamond. On the throne, they saw a woman sitting and it was Beldathiel, putting his left foot on the seat as she hugged it.
Her wings were small and matched with her body, and then she looked at Mykel with a joyous smile. She couldn't hide her happiness because her wings were flapping on her back, waiting for him to get closer.
"Have a seat," Beldathiel pointed at the table as she looked at Mykel and Elestria. "I know what you're here for, so I'm not going to do anything to you or those humans over there," she assured.
Zachary, Javelin, Aston, Victoria, and the others crossed the bridge and saw Mykel and Elestria sitting at the table. They looked at Beldathiel and then she pointed at the chairs to let them join. Even though they hesitated, they had no option but to sit down and do what they were told.
"Would you like some tea?" Beldathiel snapped her fingers and cups of tea appeared in front of everyone on the table. "Perhaps some cookies as well?" She snapped her fingers again and brought the cookies to the table.
The cookie and the tea were Elestria's favorites which made it unnerving knowing Beldathiel could read her minds and past. She didn't want to touch them, but Mykel put the cookie in his mouth so casually. She then decided to do the same because Mykel did it, and the others did the same as well.
"I see that all of you are aware of who I am, or who we are. But I guess since I'm the only one left, I should use I instead of we," Beldathiel said as she kept hugging her leg. "It's a shame that you only have records about the Mother and not us," she looked at Elestria.
"Are you willing to tell us what happened in the past?" Elestria asked.
"Of course, why wouldn't I? After all, you're their descendants and I believe they want you to know as well," Beldathiel smiled gently and had no threatening aura around her at all. "What do you want to know?" She asked as she stood up.

"Erve. What does that mean that you're all Contenders of the World?" Elestria answered without hesitation.
"You can say we are the ones who created the whole universe..." Beldathiel paused as she walked toward Mykel. "We fought to decide who's fit to rule this endless and infinite world," she continued as she sat down on Mykel's lap.
Everyone was shocked while Elestria was suspicious of why Beldathiel had been so interested in him. Beldathiel had kissed him before, and now she was sitting on his lap, clinging like she had known him for so long.
"Then what happened? Who's the one that rules this world?" Javelin asked. Explore stories at novelbuddy
"There was, but what's the point of becoming a leader if an individual has to rule over powerful beings? Would they listen to that leader? Or would they work together and dethrone that leader?" Beldathiel asked back as she stared into Mykel's eyes.
"There used to be one..." Elestria furrowed her eyebrows to think. "Was it you?" She asked.
"No, if she was the leader, she should be kept alive as becoming a leader must have been the strongest of them all. Whoever that leader was, they were either forced to step down or they were stabbed in the back," Victoria responded and looked at Beldathiel with suspicion at how she acted around Mykel.
"I believe it was the latter," Zachary looked at Victoria. "She was backstabbed, and she was the eldest sister of yours," he looked at Beldathiel with curiosity.
Beldathiel chuckled and was amazed by how sharp those people were.
"Now you found your answer as to why we were hunted down, weakened by endless war. But it was just the beginning," Beldathiel got off Mykel's lap and grabbed his cup of tea. "You must be wondering why the Gods made you deal with us even though we are weak and powerless," she added.
"The answer to that is because of the agreement. The agreement to sacrifice someone on each side," Beldathiel said and put a cookie in her mouth. "Can anyone in here know who we sacrificed and who they sacrificed?" She raised her eyebrows as she looked at them.
"You sacrificed your eldest sister..." Elestria paused to think, and then she looked at Beldathiel nervously. "The Gods sacrificed their descendants, us the humans," she pointed out.
"That's correct," Beldathiel smiled.
