Dimensional Codex System: I'm really not a cultist!-Chapter 1492 - 1491: Hesitation Means Defeat, Decisiveness Means Sacrifice
The demon creatures swarmed in.
When Fang Zheng charged towards the sky with Nymph, countless demon creatures emerged from the vortex, rushing straight towards them. Facing these creatures, Fang Zheng merely snorted coldly. Then, with a flash of his body, a series of flame rings suddenly emerged from his being, dispersing in every direction, incinerating the creatures that touched the flames almost instantly into ashes.
This was not Fang Zheng’s Primordial Fire, but an ability called Flame Ring, unlocked after slaying one of the Four Sacred Heroes’ spirit beasts, the Phoenix. Activating this Flame Ring meant anything attempting to cross it would be attacked by high temperatures, and given the current rank of the demon creatures, they were basically just fodder.
Unhesitatingly, Fang Zheng charged forward with the Little Angel, reducing all creatures blocking his path to ash, and then plunged into the vortex headfirst.
"Beep boop—————!"
As Fang Zheng stepped into the vortex, a warning sound immediately blared, and a bright red warning symbol flashed before Fang Zheng’s eyes.
However, Fang Zheng merely glanced at it without a care.
"Nymph."
"Yes, Master."
The Little Angel following Fang Zheng nodded and snapped her fingers. Quickly, the alarm was lifted.
For a low-level civilization’s system to show off in front of the Little Angel was a death wish indeed.
By now, the two had already passed through the vortex. Instantly, Fang Zheng’s vision flashed, turning the surrounding scene into a blinding white. But Fang Zheng did not panic; he halted and surveyed his surroundings.
"Nymph, elevate permissions, raise our rank to the highest level."
"Understood, Master, adjusting permissions... Adjustment complete."
As she spoke, the Little Angel raised her small hand, waving it gently before her.
"Whoosh!"
Suddenly, the once pure white space shifted, transforming into a terrain resembling a pitch-black cosmic expanse, dotted with countless points of light, while Fang Zheng stood upon a path.
"Locate the world’s coordinates."
With just a glance, Fang Zheng realized these points of light were actually Other Worlds. The evidence was right behind him: two points of light clung to each other, appearing as if they shared a deep bond.
Of course, everyone knew the true situation.
For the omnipotent Little Angel, this was hardly an issue. Nymph’s right hand turned gently, quickly setting the scene spinning. A massive light orb soon appeared before Fang Zheng.
This was it.
Seeing the enormous light orb before him, Fang Zheng’s expression darkened. In truth, even without Nymph’s confirmation, he could identify his target. This light orb dwarfed the others. Most alternate worlds only appeared the size of a fingernail, yet this one was as large as a basketball. Clearly, it had siphoned a vast amount of world power to reach this state.
However, now, evil shall meet its end. It’s all mine!
With this thought, Fang Zheng turned without hesitation, diving headfirst into the enormous light orb with the Little Angel.
"—————Whoosh!"
The world before him vanished in an instant, replaced by a vast, frigid cosmos, where burning suns could be seen nearby and planets shrouded in dark clouds loomed not far away. Iron warships floated before Fang Zheng and his companions...
Well now, this is a cosmic civilization, impressive, impressive.
At this sight, Fang Zheng was slightly taken aback, yet not overly surprised. With those two fools acting so grandiose, practically wearing "you poor natives" on their faces, it was evident this world’s civilization was advanced compared to others.
This was unsurprising. In Fang Zheng’s view, the world of the Four Sacred Heroes was like an isolated town, where national battles hardly differed from village skirmishes. Fang Zheng’s Azure Fleet, however, engaged in star system-level battles where obliterating a planet with a single shot was effortless. The ant-like squabbles on these planets? What concern are they to me?
As for now...
It’s just a few swarms of hornets.
Well then... let the game begin!
With this thought, Fang Zheng’s body suddenly trembled, and in the next moment, the pitch-black Giant Dragon emerged once more!
"—————!!"
At this point, the surrounding warships finally detected Fang Zheng’s presence. Understandably so — Fang Zheng and Nymph had appeared in human form initially, hard to detect. But once Fang Zheng transformed into a several hundred meters long Giant Dragon, anyone failing to notice him was undoubtedly blind.
Soon enough, these warships quickly surrounded them. The leading warship wasted no time, launching an attack on Fang Zheng.
Solid munitions or missiles.
Oh, quite daring indeed.
Watching this unfold, Fang Zheng chuckled. From their choice of weaponry alone, it was clear this alternate world’s civilization had only recently stepped into the cosmos, still using such obsolete solid munitions. More than that, they were quite audacious. Generally, an interstellar civilization encountering the unknown would at least investigate first, but these guys? They attacked without a word upon sight... Not that it matters for me to find an excuse now.
"Master, do you need my assistance?"
At this moment, Nymph spoke up as well. Given the backwardness of the civilization on the other side, the Little Angel could easily cripple it with just a wiggle of her finger, but Fang Zheng shook his head.
"No, this time I’ll do it myself. You... um, come onto my back, and be careful to protect yourself."
"Okay."
Upon hearing Fang Zheng’s command, the Little Angel didn’t say much more, hurriedly climbing onto the back of Fang Zheng who had transformed into a Giant Dragon, gripping a scale. Meanwhile, Fang Zheng raised his head high and took a deep breath in front of the approaching fleet and planet...
The scorching, brighter-than-the-sun flames instantly illuminated the dark cosmos.
Howling flames erupted, effortlessly enveloping the warships in front of them, swallowing them whole, and then continued forward, shooting straight at the distant planet.
From the outside, that planet seemed larger than Earth, yet the flames Fang Zheng spewed showed no mercy, piercing through the atmosphere and heading straight for the surface.
And at that moment in space, a horrifying scene occurred. A Giant Dragon, hundreds of meters long, spewed flames that directly hit a nearby planet. The flames expanded and spread in all directions, mercilessly striking and igniting surrounding satellites.
For a moment, the entire star system appeared as if it had transformed into an ever-burning, expanding furnace!
And the planet before Fang Zheng’s eyes was gradually burning. From the point struck by his breath, the surroundings began to turn dark red, then bright red.
From a distance, this scene might not seem particularly special, merely resembling a simple heating process.
However, inside the planet, the situation was entirely different.
Explosive flames descended from the sky onto the land, instantly turning the surroundings to ash. Oceans dried up, trees withered, and those unlucky enough to be caught in it didn’t even have the chance to scream before they were reduced to pitch-black charcoal, yet even so, they didn’t last long. Within the subsequent gusts, the charred remains vanished instantly, without a trace.
"———————!!"
Just as the flames were spreading, suddenly, a golden light point emerged, forcefully blocking the spray of flames. Immediately afterward, Fang Zheng saw a flash before a menacing light beam burst out, shooting toward him. Facing this attack, Fang Zheng didn’t dodge; he merely puffed his chest, bracing for it.
Then the golden beam hit Fang Zheng with a "boom," and then...
"Is it really this weak?"
Fang Zheng widened his eyes in astonishment. It’s important to know that when he couldn’t gather information about the opponent from the "Ratziel" book, he considered the enemy to be of the same rank or even higher. How did this enemy... perform so weakly? Though this strike was imposing and indeed broke through his Primordial Fire, its power was at best equivalent to a fifteen or sixteen-year-old mustering the courage to punch him.
It hurt a bit, sure, but it didn’t even scratch the surface!
Although the power level of this world isn’t very high, it shouldn’t be this weak.
Of course, this thought flashed through Fang Zheng’s mind, but he didn’t stop breathing fire. As the saying goes, "Even small as a mosquito, it’s still meat." Moreover, this world isn’t a mosquito, it’s a Hive. There’s potential to bring home a big chunk of honey, enjoying it for several days!
Fighting the boss was merely incidental; burning firewood was the main task!
Seeing that he couldn’t remove the world-destroying Giant Dragon, that guy was obviously ticked off, sending beam after beam shooting toward Fang Zheng. However, this time, Fang Zheng didn’t continue humoring it. With a wave of his wing, an enormous azure Shield appeared in front of Fang Zheng, blocking the incoming attacks—the other benefit of this shield being that Fang Zheng could use it even in Giant Dragon form.
This was advantageous for Fang Zheng, as he couldn’t use the Wolf Sword Technique after transforming into a Giant Dragon, and the Dragon’s body structure didn’t support awkward rolling. Typically, Fang Zheng would only use Magic in his Giant Dragon form, but now with the Holy Shield, he could harness the power of a shield even as a Giant Dragon, at least...
Yes, at least he didn’t have to engage in close combat with other creatures.
Fang Zheng truly wasn’t accustomed to fighting with his tail and teeth.
The opponent launched another series of attacks, each increasingly powerful. Sometimes, the beams even pierced through the Shield. But contrary to Fang Zheng’s expectations, the opponent incessantly attacked from the planet yet never engaged in close-quarters combat with him.
What kind of operation is this? Whether you want to protect your planet or target me, you have to come closer to fight, right? You’re ten thousand miles away trying to kill me—are you dreaming? Wait, could it be...
At this realization, Fang Zheng’s expression became peculiar.
This one can’t fly out of the atmosphere?
At this level, don’t tell me you can’t even leave the atmosphere?
This is just laughable.
In the Immortal Hero World, even the top-ranking Immortals can travel into space with their physical bodies!
How is this world so ridiculous?
Fang Zheng thought this, yet he didn’t cease his actions. Soon enough, under his breath, the entire planet became increasingly bright red. Simultaneously, the attack beams were more frequent, suggesting the opponent was anxious, however... for a Dragon located outside the atmosphere, what could they possibly do?
Eventually...
"Boom!!"
In just two minutes, the entire planet exploded completely, roaring outward, with scorching flames and fragments blasting like fireworks, igniting the entire Star System. For a moment, both time and space seemed engulfed in flames.
"Uh..........."
Only at that moment did beams cease appearing. Fang Zheng paused in place for a moment, scratching his head.
This can’t be... did it end so quickly?
