Chapter 805: Gathering of the Seven Overlord Forces - 2

Max narrowed his eyes, feeling a deep chill crawl up his spine as he studied the new arrivals, because even at a distance, he could sense powerful, threatening sword intent flowing from several of the Absolute Sword Palace geniuses like invisible currents of killing intent that seemed ready to cut down anything in their path.

With a frown creasing his forehead, Max muttered quietly, "They all are too strong," unable to ignore the oppressive force of the sword concepts emanating from them, so intense that it felt as though countless blades were pressing against his skin from miles away.

Princess Lyra’s expression grew solemn as she nodded in agreement, her tone steady but edged with caution as she said, "Of course they are strong. They’re from the Absolute Sword Palace, after all."

She took a small step closer to Max, lowering her voice as she continued in earnest, "Max, there’s something you must know. In recent times, the relations between the Absolute Sword Palace and the Great Ruler Empire haven’t been outstanding. There have been many conflicts and disputes over territory, resources, and secret domains over the years. So if you encounter any strong geniuses from the Absolute Sword Palace, you must be careful and avoid provoking them unnecessarily."

Her eyes grew sharper as she added with quiet urgency, "Especially three particular members from the Absolute Sword Palace—you must not confront them in the secret domain under any circumstances. They are Sword Maniac, Crazy Sword, and Young Sword."

She subtly pointed them out one by one to Max as they stood among the group of new arrivals, each exuding a terrifying presence, their sword auras so fierce that the very air around them shimmered and rippled.

"What cringe names they have..." Max couldn’t help but laugh lightly as he heard the names Princess Lyra had just spoken—Sword Maniac, Crazy Sword, and Young Sword—shaking his head slightly with amusement while at the same time fixing each of their faces firmly into his memory.

His sharp eyes flickering between the trio standing among the Absolute Sword Palace experts whose sword auras still pulsed like invisible blades in the air around them; and as he continued scanning the crowd, his gaze caught sight of two familiar figures, Gayle and Rose, mingling quietly amidst the other Absolute Sword Palace disciples, and a flicker of genuine joy sparked across his features as he thought with quiet satisfaction.

’They entered Legend Rank. Great!’ Feeling sincerely happy for their progress even amidst the gathering tension in the sky.

Princess Lyra let a small smile touch her lips at Max’s reaction, but almost instantly, the smile faded and her expression turned serious again, her voice carrying a note of solemnity as she explained, "They’ve earned those titles from the people of the Middle Domain. They’ve already become famous enough to be recognized by those names alone, and in the young generation, only a handful of experts have gained such popularity or notoriety—it means they’re not just strong, but that they’ve accomplished feats significant enough for people to remember them."

She paused a moment, her eyes searching Max’s face as though making sure he truly understood, before continuing firmly, "Young Sword may still be at the second level of Legend Rank, which isn’t too high compared to the others, but Sword Maniac and Crazy Sword have already reached the sixth and seventh levels of Legend Rank respectively, so you must be extremely careful if you encounter them inside the secret domain because their strength and sword intent are both terrifyingly refined."

Max let out a small sigh as he listened, and though he nodded and replied politely, "I understand, Princess."

Inwardly he knew himself too well to make any absolute promises of caution, for despite his outward calm, there was a glint of cold determination in his eyes as he thought silently that if anyone tried to kill him inside the secret domain, he would not hesitate to strike back, regardless of whether his opponent was some so-called genius, the son of a ruler, or even the son of a god, because that was simply who he was—a person who refused to back down when his life was threatened.

Meanwhile, the tension continued to grow as the members of the Absolute Sword Palace settled into positions hovering in the air right beside those of the Great Ruler Empire and the Eternal Sun Guild, their lines drawn so precisely that invisible boundaries seemed to separate each faction, and Max’s attention was momentarily drawn to the sight of Palace Master Magnus, the stern-faced leader of the Absolute Sword Palace, standing in quiet conversation with both Guild Master Orion and Emperor Hermes.

Though their expressions appeared calm and courteous, and though their gestures were small and measured, Max somehow sensed an undercurrent of subtle power in their interaction, but frustratingly, he was too far away to hear what was being said.

Just as the murmurs and shifting movements of the crowd began to settle, a loud voice suddenly rang out from among the gathered experts, shouting, "People from the Thunder Monarch Hall and Mountain Gods Valley are here!" causing countless heads to turn sharply as two more enormous void shuttles came descending from the skies with a brilliant flash of glowing runes, each vessel gliding smoothly to a stop in the air beside the other forces already present.

From the first shuttle emerged experts crackling with a fierce, electric energy that made the very air sizzle and shimmer around them—the unmistakable members of the Thunder Monarch Hall—while from the second shuttle came figures wearing long, flowing robes adorned with earthy browns and greens, exuding an aura of quiet strength and solid, mountain-like presence that marked them as disciples of the Mountain Gods Valley.

Max watched the two groups disembark and gather side by side, and with a thoughtful frown, he muttered quietly under his breath, "These two forces are always together, it seems," noticing how naturally and closely the disciples of Thunder Monarch Hall and Mountain Gods Valley stood beside one another, their leaders already greeting one another with nods of respect, further confirming the longstanding alliance between those two powerful factions.
