Dimensional Keeper: All My Skills Are at Level 100-Chapter 850: Coming To Rescue
Nico burst into laughter at the pitiful sight and raised his palm once more, ready to deliver the final blow.
But just before his hand descended, Raul’s sharp voice rang out, halting him. "Don’t kill it!" he said, stepping closer, eyes locked onto the small, wounded creature with barely contained excitement. "That’s no ordinary rat," he whispered, his voice trembling slightly. "If I’m right, that’s a Treasure Seeking Rat—one of the legendary beasts said to be able to locate any herb in the world."
Nico’s eyes widened in disbelief, then lit up with greed. "Are you serious?! Then we’re rich! Senior Brother Raul, we’re really lucky this time!" he said, nearly trembling with joy.
Raul nodded, his smile cold and calculating.
But in the very next second, Raul’s expression changed completely.
"Junior Brother Nico, behind you!" he shouted in alarm.
But it was too late.
A sharp, whistling noise cut through the air as a sword energy more than a hundred feet long ripped through the jungle like a storm. It pierced the air with such overwhelming force that the reeds surrounding them instantly disintegrated into dust. 𝑓𝘳𝘦𝑒𝑤𝑒𝘣𝘯ℴ𝘷𝘦𝓁.𝑐𝑜𝑚
The entire space around Nico seemed to be swallowed by blinding sword light.
Nico turned, horrified. He barely had time to widen his eyes in panic before the searing light enveloped him. He tried to summon his energy to defend himself, but before he could act, darkness swallowed his vision and the world went still.
A loud, sickening bang echoed through the clearing.
The body of Nico was sliced clean in two, split from shoulder to waist, blood erupting like a red geyser as his lifeless form collapsed. Flesh, bone, and armor scattered across the ground in a rain of gore.
"Junior Brother Nico?!" Raul froze for a moment in disbelief. Then his entire body trembled with fury. His silver robe fluttered even without wind as the energy around him surged.
His gaze turned bloodshot, filled with rage and a killing intent that burned like wildfire. He pointed his sword toward the lone figure standing calmly at the edge of the battlefield—Max.
"I don’t care who you are," Raul growled, voice laced with venom. "I, Raul Khelegan of the Void Soul Tower, swear I’ll kill you!"
But Max didn’t flinch. He didn’t even glance at him. Instead, he walked straight to the little rat who was still curled up, bleeding and shaking. Gently, he knelt down, pulled out a healing medicine from his storage space, and fed it to the trembling creature. His voice was soft as he whispered, "You did well, little guy."
The little rat slowly calmed down, its big eyes filled with gratitude and trust as it was enveloped in light and returned to the Dimension of Spirit for rest. Max then turned to pick up the three stalks of Fish Dragon Grass and carefully stored them in his spatial ring.
Only then did Max raise his head.
His expression, once gentle, now turned icy cold.
His gaze locked onto Raul as he slowly stepped forward and said in a voice filled with quiet wrath, "You hurt something precious to me. And for that... you’ll pay the price."
Max’s heart burned with rage as he stared at Raul. Seeing the little rat—his newly bonded Treasure Seeking Rat—lying injured because of him left a bitter taste in his mouth.
His intent to kill was no longer a fleeting thought but an absolute decision, solid and unshakable. His grip on the Blue Dragon Sword tightened, and his killing intent surged so fiercely it seemed to distort the air itself.
Raul, however, only laughed mockingly, his voice echoing across the scorched clearing. "Hahahaha! You have guts, I’ll give you that. But what makes you think you can kill me just because you killed my junior brother? He was weak. I am not. You’re naive to even think about it." His eyes flashed with disdain, as though Max’s killing intent was nothing more than a joke.
Max didn’t waste time on words. His expression turned frigid as he lifted the Blue Dragon Sword. "Kill," he muttered, his voice cold enough to chill bone.
Raul’s mocking grin twisted into a cold sneer, his eyes flashing ominously. "You asked for it." He slammed his palm forward, and instantly an evil, oppressive aura erupted from him like a torrent. Dark, putrid energy filled the area, thick enough to distort vision and make the air heavy.
Out of the swirling mass of corrupted power came a swarm of horrifying creatures—ant-like, winged monstrosities the size of fists, their black chitinous shells gleaming with an unnatural luster. Each one bore serrated pincers strong enough to crush bone, and their beating wings carried the same rancid aura of death that oozed from Raul himself.
"These are Filthy Ants," Raul said, pride swelling in his voice. "Boy, taste their power and despair." The swarm moved as one, shrieking and buzzing like a storm of nightmares as they shot toward Max.
Max’s eyes narrowed, and a cold realization crossed his mind. "The Void Soul Tower... so you are one of them." His tone was low, deadly. Only the Void Soul Tower was infamous enough to cultivate such abominations, bending dark forces to their will, using creatures born from twisted death energy as weapons.
Raul smirked at Max’s recognition, clearly proud of his affiliation. "That’s right. But it’s too late for you to do anything about it now."
Max smiled coldly, raising the Blue Dragon Sword as its edge erupted in waves of energy. His aura roared violently, and the advanced stage of his level 2 severing sword concept burst forth, cutting into the very air itself.
The oppressive weight of his sword intent was enough to make the swarm hesitate mid-flight. "You think it’s too late for me?" Max’s eyes blazed with confidence. "No, Raul. It’s too late for you."
The energy vibrating from Max’s sword stunned Raul, whose expression froze in disbelief. "Advanced... stage... level 2 sword concept?! Impossible!" Raul’s voice cracked with shock. "You’re not from the Absolute Sword Palace—how could you possibly have that level of sword comprehension?"
