Divine Beast Creator-Chapter 1015 - 1016: Letting Go
Chapter 1015: Chapter 1016: Letting Go
"Alright, work’s done, time to relax. How about we go upstream for a wild picnic?"
Feng Yuan suggested after conducting one last test and gathering enough data. Cen Chudie looked at Feng Yuan with some dissatisfaction and said,
"Don’t go ruining someone’s garden, okay?"
"What do you mean, ruining? I never said we were going to have a picnic there. Besides, now that she’s here, aren’t you going to take her to that place for some whispering?"
Feng Yuan said with a mischievous grin to Qi Chen. Qi Chen glanced at Dou Yanlan who was blushing and looking down. Seeing Feng Yuan staring at him with no good intentions, Dou Yanlan stepped forward and hugged Qi Chen’s left arm and asked,
"What place is he talking about?"
"That..."
Scratching his head, Qi Chen quietly explained something to Dou Yanlan. After listening to Qi Chen’s explanation, Dou Yanlan was silent for a long time before saying,
"Then let’s forget about it. Let’s not disturb its peace..."
"This is... Indeed, Yun You’s charm is really something~"
Feng Yuan commented as he saw Yun You passing by, ready to go check on the health of the Cotton Orchid Spirit Beasts. Without explanation, Yun You just smiled; she didn’t know why the other followed her because she hadn’t said anything like ’come with me.’
Dou Yanlan hesitated for a moment then said with some curiosity,
"So that’s a Huaye Child?"
"It should have come out by now, especially since it has been so long."
Feng Yuan casually replied, and whether he truly didn’t care, he couldn’t say. Veronia gazed at the Huaye Child and sighed, feeling somewhat envious...
"Aren’t we going this way?"
Seeing Feng Yuan continue to walk up along the edge of the stream, Cheng Xiaoxiao pointed at a small path nearby with some confusion. If they kept going along the stream, the plants would be in the way. Feng Yuan glanced at the path and said,
"That must be the way to some village, right? Wait, what’s that?"
With sharp eyes, he saw something unusual and followed the path for a bit, where he discovered a peculiar stone grave marker standing on the edge of some bushes. Looking around, Feng Yuan seemed to recall something and looked around strangely before saying,
"Strange, could this grave marker be..."
"That... I did it... You don’t mind, do you?"
Cen Chudie carefully looked at Feng Yuan and spoke in a low voice with a guilty look. Yun You stepped forward and gently hugged Feng Yuan, saying,
"Let the past be the past; we don’t ask for your forgiveness, only that... his and its feelings, we can’t bear to treat them so casually."
Without struggling, Feng Yuan glanced at Xiao Ji. The latter hadn’t realized what was happening and lowered his head. Feng Yuan chuckled and said,
"How could I? How could I mind him? After everything, it all dissipated into smoke, and without seeing this, I probably would have forgotten the matter."
"But... If their deeds aside, the people from the G Organization are actually quite alright."
Feng Yuan said with a smile, guessing by now that the illegal experiments conducted by him and the G Organization were unrelated, so everyone didn’t worry too much. Bending down, his hands lightly brushing over the grass, a bunch of white wildflowers quickly grew out of the ground. Picking the flowers, Feng Yuan placed them in front of the grave marker and said,
"Although I don’t approve of what you did, it doesn’t affect my tribute to your and its feelings."
After speaking, Feng Yuan pulled on Xiao Ji and said,
"Let’s go, if we don’t set off now, there won’t be time to cook later~"
Xiao Ji looked at Feng Yuan with some confusion. Apart from Cen Chudie and Yun You, the others had no idea what had happened here. What was the deal with that strange grave marker, and what had that person done to Feng Yuan? Agunas flicked its tail and took out an old book to flip through. After a while, it mumbled to itself,
"So that’s how it is..."
"Let me see!"
Veronia floated over to Agunas, reached out, and asked to see the book. Agunas hesitated for a moment before handing the book to Veronia. There was no need to worry whether she could see what it had seen since its book, unlike Feng Yuan’s pitch-black Ancient Book, was recorded in a way similar to any regular paper book, which anyone could read.
"This... he really is..."
Veronia glanced at the grave marker, unsure of what to say. Was he too forgiving? But then, considering what that guy had done, it seemed not too grievous. If it had been her, she probably would have just taken it as amusement. It was the Spirit Beast... After a long silence, Veronia waved her hand, and a bunch of golden flowers appeared in her hand. She placed the flowers on the grave marker and sat on the colorful bubbles, chasing after the departing group led by Feng Yuan.
Agunas glanced at the tombstone and hesitated for a moment without doing anything. After securing the book Veronia had given back to him, Agunas promptly followed suit and left the place. A gust of wind blew by, rustling the leaves and making the petals flutter in the wind as if they were silently articulating something.
"How about it? Pretty, isn’t it?"
Arriving at the Children of Leaves’ secret garden, Feng Yuan proudly said, while Qi Chen glanced over at Feng Yuan and said to the Children of Leaves,
"That’s not your achievement."
Scratching his head, Feng Yuan said brightly,
"Hehe~ But I’m the one who discovered it~"
Dou Yanlan smiled and looked around before saying,
"Ah Chen, how about a walk with me here?"
"Tch! I knew it."
Feng Yuan reached out to grab some of his snacks, only to realize that he seemed to have left them in his room while moving stuff around and didn’t bring them with him. Grasping the spine of the Ancient Book, Feng Yuan shook it vigorously, and a bunch of strange little items fell out. Seeing this, Agunas said somewhat speechlessly,
"What are you doing..."
"I really did forget to bring snacks."
As he picked up the small items that had fallen into the stream, Feng Yuan said regretfully. Rolling his eyes, Agunas helplessly said,
"You’re not seriously using the Ancient Book as a storage tool, are you?"
"Can’t I? Isn’t it convenient?"
"As long as you’re happy..."
Agunas didn’t want to say anything more about him. Why would he mistreat the Ancient Book when he wasn’t lacking in other storage spaces? Agunas couldn’t quite understand.
"When did I stuff this thing in here?"
While tidying up, Feng Yuan looked at the antique coin in his hand and expressed his puzzlement. The coin was engraved with the symbols of Eclipse and Xilnais on its two sides. Agunas looked at Feng Yuan in surprise and flicked his tail speechlessly, saying,
"You, do you really not remember what you put in yourself?"
"Heh heh~ I forgot. Never mind. Better save it well; who knows when it might come in handy~"
Feng Yuan said brightly as he laughed, securing the coin and collecting the pile of messy little items back into the Ancient Book, then looked at Big Cat with a face full of expectation and said,
"Do you have anything stored in there? Like snacks?"
Big Cat meowed a few times with a head full of question marks. It had been a long time since it had carried anything for Feng Yuan; how could there be snacks? Cen Chudie glanced at Feng Yuan and said irritably,
"Stop messing around, and come help out."
Because they didn’t want to pollute the secret garden, Veronia had temporarily placed golden, translucent crystal steps against the rock wall to facilitate climbing the cliff. Cen Chudie and Yun You had just been organizing the cooking equipment below and noticed Feng Yuan’s absence. When she came up to check, sure enough, he was slacking off.
"Let’s go. Wouldn’t it be nice if you could control objects with spiritual power too?"
After responding to Cen Chudie, Feng Yuan patted Xiao Ji at his side and said. Xiao Ji wobbled its tail feathers as if tempted, but alas, even if Agunas taught it, it couldn’t immediately grasp the skill to control objects with spiritual power. Big Cat meowed as if saying something to Xiao Ji.
"Aren’t you inconvenienced?"
Seeing Veronia transformed into a human, wearing a dress, and cooking food, Feng Yuan asked curiously. Veronia glanced at Feng Yuan and said,
"What do you think?"
"Hehe, doesn’t seem like it."
Seeing Veronia cooking effortlessly, Feng Yuan scratched his head somewhat embarrassedly. Then Cen Chudie glanced at Feng Yuan and said,
"You’re one of the only two people here with good cooking skills; don’t you be lazy."
"What do you mean by lazy... I’m doing it, aren’t I?"
Feng Yuan said as he casually shook an egg he picked up. Yun You laughed softly and said to Cen Chudie,
"Don’t be like that, he’s our guest."
