As Lin Mo walked out of the store alongside Yu Qingyan and her disciples, he checked on the day’s Daily Tasks. He completed the two tasks before noon but the last one was a little slow. Or rather, most people in the area had already visited the store at least once. Those who haven’t yet are dwindling.

Nevertheless, he was confident to fill it up before nightfall.

"Shopkeeper, are you going to see us off? Or is it because you’re going to miss Elder Yu?" With the same playful enthusiasm as Liu Xiaoyu, Little Spring raised that question as glanced behind her, finding Lin Mo and Yu Qingyan walking side-by-side like a couple reluctant to part.

Yu Qingyan snorted, flicking Little Spring’s forehead with feigned annoyance.

"What nonsense are you spouting, brat? If you have time to tease, you have time to review the inventory list one more time. I don’t want to hear you whining about forgotten goods halfway through our trip."

Little Spring yelped and rubbed her forehead but didn’t look the least bit remorseful. She saw the Elder she was looking up to getting flustered again. As for the other Verdant Sky Pavilion disciple beside her, she simply chuckled quietly, clearly not wanting to suffer the same fate as the mischievous girl.

Lin Mo, on the other hand, had a slightly amused expression. He turned to Yu Qingyan and teasingly smirked, "Miss Yu, what if she’s right? Is that such a crime?"

Yu Qingyan stumbled slightly at his words causing her ears to gradually turn red. She quickly covered it up with a cough and a roll of her eyes.

"I know you’re just teasing me, Shopkeeper. Don’t go saying things so casually like that or people might get the wrong idea."

Lin Mo said nothing further but his silence made it more awkward for Yu Qingyan. Her cheeks gradually puffed up, a gesture she unknowingly did.

Furthermore, despite getting scolded, the mischievous Little Spring kept glancing back at them before snickering to herself.

Sure enough, she’s getting the wrong idea that her Elder Yu was simply too shy to admit.

Luckily for Yu Qingyan, they quickly reached their assembled caravan.

Before Lin Mo’s eyes, a row of spirit beast-drawn carriages, sleek and reinforced with array inscriptions, stood in formation. Disciples young and old busily darted between them, securing cargo that Yu Qingyan dispersed from her Distributor Interface’s inventory and double-checking travel arrangements.

With a final check of the inventory, Yu Qingyan turned to Lin Mo, her usual confident and professional demeanor slipping back into place as she addressed him.

"Well then, Shopkeeper Lin. I suppose this is where we part ways for now."

"Safe travels, Miss Yu. I expect good sales numbers when you return."

Lin Mo nodded with his hands resting casually behind his back.

Yu Qingyan scoffed lightly but a soft smile peaked from her lips. "Of course. With products like yours, I could sell them to a hermit meditating in a cave and he’d still hand over his life savings."

Lin Mo chuckled. "That’s the goal, after all. Spreading convenience to all."

As they spoke, one of the senior disciples of the Verdant Sky Pavilion approached and cupped his hands, "Elder Yu, everything is secured. We’re ready to depart at your command."

Yu Qingyan nodded and turned back to Lin Mo one last time. "I’ll be back before you know it."

"Take your time. It’s not like I’ll miss you or anything," Lin Mo replied with the same teasing smirk as earlier.

Yu Qingyan huffed and crossed her arms in an attempt to prevent herself from being flustered again, "I swear, Shopkeeper. You’re having fun teasing me, aren’t you?"

"I apologize. It’s because you’re so reactive."

"Hmph. Whatever. I simply have to get used to it. Anyhow, you better not come up with new exclusive items while I’m away."

"I make no promises. I’m only the Shopkeeper. Not the developer of our store’s products."

Yu Qingyan rolled her eyes but smirked in return before finally boarding her carriage.

With a sharp command, the spirit beasts neighed, their hooves glowing faintly with spiritual energy as the convoy began its slow roll forward.

Shortly after, Little Spring peeked from the back of the carriage and waved enthusiastically at Lin Mo. "Shopkeeper! If Elder Yu gets too busy, I’ll report to you myself!"

"What are you saying, you brat?! I hold the means to report to him," Yu Qingyan’s voice came from inside the carriage and a muffled yelp followed.

Lin Mo shook his head and exhaled softly as he watched the caravan disappear down the road.

With them gone, he turned his attention back to his store. However, as he made his way back, he couldn’t help but look around him. This was the furthest he had been from the store ever since he arrived in this realm through Taihao’s machinations.

The air was no different than on Earth. But compared to the concrete jungle he was used to seeing day in and day out, the structures in the city were mostly made of brick and mud.

The crippling sensation of dread that he hadn’t felt in a long time for being in a different world was gradually setting in.

Thankfully for him, he managed to calm himself down. After more than a week, he had more or less acclimated to this new reality. And feeling the spiritual energy circulating within his body and perhaps, the hint of divine energy too, it’s far too late to be homesick.

"I reached the 10th level Spirit Gathering Stage last night thanks to the Silent Stream Breathing Technique. But to break through to the Spirit Condensation Stage, I have to find a core cultivation technique that could condense my spirit in preparation for the higher realms."

Lin Mo inhaled deeply, clearing his head. With his knowledge about cultivation only scratching the surface, he had to rely on his prodigious assistant again to find a suitable manual.

His [Personal Balance] was already nearing 300 Spirit Stones, he’s not afraid to spend them.

After all, with the Aura of Harmony going to disappear tomorrow, he might have to face grumpy customers again.

While he could rely on the loyal patrons of the store to police their fellow customers, he had to quickly build his strength to ensure his safety.

As he neared the Divine Convenience Store’s storefront, he suddenly stopped in his steps as he felt something.

It was an odd sensation, almost like he could sense an arrow rippling in the air coming to him.

It was faint but noticeable like the moment before a storm broke. However, it didn’t feel dangerous at all.

’What now?’

A moment later, the ripple intensified. Then, the space before him shuddered, twisting like an illusion before a golden talisman appeared midair before him.

It hovered briefly before gently descending into his hands.

Lin Mo frowned as he examined it.

The golden talisman was similar to the communication talismans he’d seen some customers use to send a message back to their sects or home.

The only difference was its color and how the inscriptions exuded royal authority. Upon closer inspection, a faint but unmistakable pressure emanated from it.

He then recalled the overbearing group of intelligence agents yesterday bearing a Royal Decree.

Before he could analyze it further, the talisman transformed into a scroll unfurled on its own, revealing a golden script that pulsed with spiritual energy.

[By decree of His Majesty, King Wu Tianzhen of the Southern Wu Kingdom…]

Lin Mo’s brow rose slightly.

’Oh? The King himself?’

He continued reading.

[... We extend our formal invitation to the esteemed proprietor of the Divine Convenience Store, Shopkeeper Lin Mo, to discuss the future relations between the store and the Royal Court. Our First Princess, Wu Meiyu, has been assigned as the official envoy to oversee this engagement. A royal delegation shall arrive within the next three days to arrange the meeting in your esteemed establishment. We trust that a business of such renown will recognize the honor of this invitation.]

The message ended there and as soon as Lin Mo finished reading, the scroll disintegrated into sparkling dust, leaving no trace of its existence.

Lin Mo exhaled through his nose.

This content is taken from fгeewebnovёl.com.

"A royal decree again? I guess the Minister Shen had already sent his report or those lot from the Silver Lotus Hall cried about their funds siphoned out of their pockets. They’re now sending a princess as an envoy."

His thoughts immediately turned to what this could mean.

It was an invitation. And they’re quite polite now. If they had approached with the same arrogance, he would have rejected them outright. But instead, they framed it as a diplomatic gesture along with a meeting with a real-life Princess.

"Let’s see. Three days. She might be in time for the Viewing Jades or the Celestial Duel Platform’s release. I should tell Xiaoyu to prepare a list of recommendations that a princess like her would not hesitate to buy. It’s a chance to scam her of spirit stones too." Lin Mo murmured with a calculative smirk as he stepped back into the store.
