Detective Carlow was spotted pacing around his office room, his gaze filled with nervousness.

It hasn’t been long since he returned from Sheriff Langston’s office.

An anonymous letter had reached his grasp, a letter which confirmed the presence of a thief in Evernight.

If that was all, he would have been excited.

What ruined his mood was the remaining content of the letter, Mr. Anonymous had went into details.

The content of the letter talked about not only an assasination attempt against a member of the Great House Venus.

But also a co-operation with the Great House Ares.

Detective Carlow was no noble, only loyal to the Great House Venus, this is the reason why he stood nervous.

An internal war between two Great Houses might break out if this letter was released to the Great House Venus.

It would be worse if there really is an assasination attempt against a member of the Great House Venus.

The letter never went into details, so he had no idea which member of the Great House Venus was going to fall.

The door creaked open and the third investigation officer Allen walked into the office.

But he wasn’t alone as four more third investigation officers followed him.

Allen bowed his head, "Good afternoon Detective Carlow, you summoned us" He spoke.

"Is there an issue?" Allen asked.

Detective Carlow breathed in deeply, "Allen, between the victims of this recent murder cases"

"Was there a confirmed female presence?" He asked.

Allen nods, "Yes" He was confused, "Now that you asked, there was a familiar description spotted within all those crime scenes"

"Silver haired, golden eyes and paled skinned" Allen explained.

Detective Carlow’s gaze darkened as he listened to that explanation, "A Drakkon!" He growled.

"The letter was right, something dangerous is about to occur and we must prevent it" Detective Carlow stepped forward.

The third investigation officers straightened up their bodies, they noticed the tension.

"What are your orders sir?" Allen asked, Detective Carlow’s eyes flickered "We move in ten minutes, I need eyes and ears in every corners of Evernight"

"Monitor a silver haired bitch" He declared.

On the streets of Evernight City, it rained.

Crystal walked with an umbrella covering her hair, she was currently putting on a black trench coat.

This wasn’t her avatar but her main body moving, her avatars hid completely, unnoticed.

Only to be unleashed when she’s in danger.

She walked through the streets unbothered, everyone minded their business.

It didn’t take long for her to arrive at her destination, she walked into a bar spotted at the roadside.

Sounds of drunken laughter and chattering filled the air, this is a spotted both mundane and Regulators visit.

A popular bar known for having exquisite alcoholic beverages.

She ignores everyone as she walked straight towards the bartender desk, the bartender watches.

And her fellow silver haired on a stool, before the bartender desk, he savours the wine he drowned himself on.

Crystal sat beside him, "I need a cup of iron tequila please" She gestured and the bartender nods.

The young man who sits besides her chuckled softly, he slightly tilted his head.

He glanced at her "You really came huh? Crystal" He spoke.

Crystal sighed, "I did" She nods, "I have a mission after all, and besides we have a coded number"

"Don’t identify me with my name" She stated.

The drunken silver haired giggled, "Ah my bad" He smiled, "Sorry about that my love, I totally forgot"

"Its nice to see you again, Number 008" He grinned.

Crystal nods, "Thank you, Number 015" She observed the bar for a moment, "Is it a good place to have a conversation?" She asked.

He winked at her, "Have you forgotten what my Fallen Rune is?" He asked, "I stole their minds, they are all my marionettes without even realizing it"

"Good" Crystal heaved a sigh of relief, "I’ve concluded my discussion with Lenny Night" She explained.

His smile faltered for a second "That Night bastard eh?" He sighed, "And what exactly was the discussion?" He asked.

Crystal answered without hesitation, she had nothing to hide "We made a deal, he won’t get involved in my assasination attempt on Pedro von Venus" She stated. 𝚏𝕣𝐞𝗲𝐰𝕖𝐛𝐧𝕠𝕧𝚎𝚕.𝐜𝚘𝗺

Number 015 stared at her for a second, his lips curled faintly "A Drakkon making a deal with a Night?"

"I thought we only exist to kill eachother" He chuckled, drinking down the content in his wine cup.

Crystal shrugged, "Well I can’t kill him now and I don’t want him to disrupt our plans so I had to appease him"

Number 015 sighed "And what would you give him for him to maintain neutrality?" He asked.

Crystal lingered for a moment "My help, negotiating my freedom from his soul corruption grasp comes later"

"The mission is more important than me" She stated.

And Number 015 smiled sheepishly, he nods "I’m glad my little cousin knows fact"

"But do you believe Lenny would follow the script?" He asked, Crystal shook her head "No" She answered immediately.

Number 015 laughed "So fast?" His eyes flickered with uncertainty, "Then why make a deal in the first place?"

Crystal sighed, "Well it’s to prevent him from directly interfering with my plans, If he schemes against me"

"It doesn’t matter" She folded her arms, "I’m smarter than him or anyone else"

Number 015 slowly rose up from his stool, "So confident huh?" He shook his head, "Well since the Patriarch ordered me to co-operate with you"

"And since my father Jacob loved you as his daughter, I’ll put my trust in you"

"When will the hunt begins?" He asked.

Crystal glanced at him "Tonight"

He nodded, "Good, I took my time creating an army of marionettes by stealing the minds of both Fallen Regulators and the mundanes in Evernight City"

"I will only help you track Pedro von Venus down, by your blade will he be killed" Number 015 stated.

Crystal’s lips curled darkly "Then it’s settled, for the glory of Greed" She declared.

"For the glory of Greed!"
