Divine-level Base-Chapter 107 - 106: Giant Species

The roads inside the city were quite spacious. There were no skyscrapers dozens of stories tall lining the streets; instead, there were elegantly decorated brick and stone buildings with a unique, exotic flair.

The wreckage of horse-drawn carriages was scattered in the middle of the street. Clearly, this New World’s level of technology was far from rivaling that of Blue Star.

After they crossed a street, a woman wearing a white cloak and completely covered in a layer of white armor suddenly came rushing toward them from the other end of the road.

Following behind the woman in the full suit of white armor was a dense horde of bizarre, humanoid monsters.

"Get inside!"

Shu Feng was decisive. He slammed open the door of a two-story building and rushed straight inside.

Everyone filed into the building after him.

Due to the suppression from the Heart of the World, everyone’s physical attributes had been reduced to an extremely weak state. Under these circumstances, trying to run from those monsters would be utterly foolish.

The woman in the white armor glanced at Shu Feng and Camilla, who stood before her. A flicker of vigilance crossed her eyes as she spoke in a language Shu Feng had never heard before.

Normally, Shu Feng wouldn’t have understood the language, but after analyzing the monsters’ brains, his Mysterious Base had conveniently deciphered the language of this world as well. As its host, both Shu Feng and Camilla received the data transfer and instantly understood the woman’s words.

Shu Feng smiled faintly. "We are outsiders who stumbled into this world by mistake. I am Shu Feng, and this is my follower, Camilla. And you are?"

Ever since evolving into a Hero, Shu Feng’s perception had become exceptionally keen. He could faintly sense that while this powerful woman in white was wary, she harbored no real malice.

With a flick of her hand, a sharp, silver rapier appeared in the white-armored woman’s grasp.

Inside the room, Camilla wildly fired her bow. Arrow after arrow flew like shooting stars, burying themselves in the chest organs of the bizarre monsters and blowing them apart.

Shu Feng took out several Compound Bows and quivers of Arrows, tossing them to the others.

A flurry of Arrows flew toward the bizarre monsters.

Everyone present had trained in Spiritual Martial Arts; besides Spear Technique, they had also practiced archery. Of course, their skill with a bow was nowhere near Camilla’s.

While every one of Camilla’s arrows found its mark, many of the others’ simply struck the bizarre monsters’ bodies, getting lodged in their muscles.

The torrent of bizarre monsters surged forward, crashing against the doorway and clashing with the King of Goblins.

The King of Goblins swung its greatsword, cleaving one of the monsters clean in two.

Several other monsters lunged forward, latching onto the King of Goblins’ body. Their claws tore madly at it as they opened their cavernous maws and bit down hard on its steel armor, producing a series of ear-splitting screeches.

WHOOSH! WHOOSH! WHOOSH!

Camilla methodically picked off the bizarre humanoid monsters. One after another, they collapsed to the ground, the organs in their chests pierced through.

Soon, the entrance of the room was piled high with the corpses of the humanoid monsters.

The humanoid monsters piled on top of one another, forming a corpse mound that created a crude path up to the second floor.

The white-armored woman brandished her rapier, her slashes a furious blur that hacked the humanoid monsters into countless pieces.

Meanwhile, five Ghost-devouring Demons were picking up the monster corpses and hurling them out the window.

’If these bodies pile up, they’ll completely swamp the room!’

Shu Feng’s form flickered, and in an instant, he was at the doorway. He reached out and pressed his hand against the corpses of the bizarre monsters.

One after another, the corpses of the bizarre monsters vanished, absorbed into Shu Feng’s Base Space to become its resources.

Suddenly, from within the pile of corpses, a bizarre monster that had been playing dead snapped its eyes open, unhinged its cavernous maw, and lunged viciously at Shu Feng.

Even though Shu Feng was on high alert, he was still a fraction of a second too slow to react. He could only watch as the bizarre monster lunged at him.

WHOOSH!

An arrow shot out like a meteor, and in a flash, it buried itself in the heart-like organ in the bizarre monster’s chest, splattering a large amount of viscous fluid.

It was an incredible shot from Camilla.

HSSS!!

The viscous fluid splattered onto Shu Feng. Under its corrosive touch, the Combat Suit he wore—woven from Black Spirit Spider Silk to be resistant to blades—was eaten through, leaving several large holes. His skin was also corroded by the bizarre, powerful acid, forming ugly scars.

Having lost the support of the bodies below, the bizarre monsters on top of the pile fell, only to be picked off by Camilla and the other elites present.

It had two ox-like horns growing from its temples and dragged a long tail behind it. Gripping a stone pillar, it swung it violently toward the room.
